With the rapid expansion of cross-border e-commerce, platform sellers increasingly adopt diverse price formatsto influence consumer decision-making. In this context, consumers’ perceptions of and responses to price information have become a pivotal issue in understanding online purchase behavior. Using Amazon as the research setting, this study employs a dynamic panel model with monthly product-level data spanning January 2024 to June 2025 to investigate how different price formats—such as Prime-exclusive pricing and coupon mechanisms—affect consumers’ online purchase intentions when the out-ofpocket price is held constant. Well-balanced risk performance instills confidence in stakeholders (including investors) and improves organizational performance broadly speaking. This dissertation studies the relationship between Perceived Organizational Support, employee engagement and risk appetite and how that relates downstream to organisational risk performance. This research introduces the construct, Doing-Good-Enough (DGE), a work strategy in which employees consciously meet, but do not exceed, core job expectations. It is a satisficing approach aimed at prioritizing well-being and managing work demands. Three studies were conducted to build the DGE scale and examined its outcomes. Study 1 developed the new measurement scale of DGE by integrating its initial work definition with the existing Quiet Quitting (QQ) scales. The lacrimal functional unit (LFU) tightly controls the secretion of all tear components, thus playing a critical role in maintaining ocular surface homeostasis. Forming an exquisitely sensitive neural network across the ocular surface, corneal sensory nerves detect environmental stimuli (e.g., temperature, chemicals, and mechanical pressure) through transient receptor potential (TRP) ion channels. Among these, TRP melastatin 8 (TRPM8) is a key regulator of basal tear production. Stimulated by the small temperature reductions and tear film osmolarity increases that arise due to evaporative cooling, TRPM8 activates the LFU, leading to increased basal tear production. Advances in the treatment of congenital heart disease (CHD) have led to dramatic improvements in survival for individuals with CHD. While adults with CHD represent a small percentage of admissions to the intensive care unit (ICU), the critical care needs of this population will grow as this population ages and develops increasingly complex cardiac and noncardiac conditions. Objective: Pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) physicians require expertise in numerous procedural skills to manage emergencies in children. Fellows require hands-on experience, expert supervision, and standardized feedback to build procedural competency. Our objective was to develop and gather validity evidence for an evaluation tool to assess PEM fellows' ability to perform procedures.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective study of PEM fellows' procedural performance within a children's hospital system. Faculty evaluated fellows using a one-item, five-point entrustment/level of supervision scale. Background & aims: In patients with Alagille syndrome (ALGS), bile duct paucity often leads to severe cholestatic phenotypes for which liver transplantation remains the only definitive treatment. No Food and Drug Administration-approved mechanism-based strategies exist to enhance biliary development in ALGS or other diseases with bile duct paucity. We aimed to identify a therapeutic target to address this unmet need.

Salvage endoscopic resection of residual esophageal neoplasia for patients that prefer to avoid surgery or are poor surgical candidates has been reported. We report a case of gastric signet ring cell carcinoma with residual disease after definitive chemoradiotherapy, that was treated with nonexposed endoscopic full thickness resection. This endoscopic resection achieved negative margins, with postresection surveillance endoscopy and imaging showing no evidence of disease. This case highlights the potential use of salvage endoscopic resection as a therapy for residual gastric cancer after chemoradiation in patients where surgery is not an option.

There are limited therapeutic options for patients with advanced sarcomas, which leads to dismal outcomes for children and adults. Although chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells hold promise for treating advanced sarcomas, this approach is constrained by a paucity of effective targets. Our previous clinical study identified endoglin (ENG/CD105), a TGFβ coreceptor, as a target of the endogenous immune response in a patient with sarcoma who exhibited an exceptional response to HER2-targeted CAR T-cell therapy. ENG is expressed on various sarcomas, cancer-associated fibroblasts, and neoangiogenic vessels and therefore offers comprehensive tumor targeting. Background: Pulmonary complications are a major cause of morbidity and mortality in pediatric and young adult hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) recipients. The impact of preexisting lung dysfunction on posttransplant outcomes remains understudied.

Methods: In a multi-institutional prospective cohort of 444 patients (≤24 years) undergoing allogeneic HSCT at eight centers, baseline lung function was categorized as normal or abnormal using clinical history, imaging, pulmonary function tests (PFTs), and pulmonologist review. Spirometry and diffusion capacity were assessed at baseline, Day 100, 1 year, and 2 years post-HSCT.

Microglia-driven dysregulation has emerged as a significant underlying mechanism in many neurodegenerative diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and Alzheimer's disease (AD). Although both brain and retinal microglia originate from the yolk sac, it is uncertain whether they share molecular similarities or genetic and molecular foundations related to neurodegenerative diseases. In this study, we examine the transcriptomic and epigenetic profiles of retina and brain microglia through integrative analyses of single-nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) and single-nucleus ATAC sequencing (snATAC-seq) from 97 independent human samples across 11 different studies. Tau aggregation and propagation are hallmark features of Alzheimer's disease and related tauopathies. The molecular identity and post-translational modifications that contribute to tau seeding activity remain incompletely understood.

Objective

To characterize the temporal dynamics of tau seeding activity and identify specific phosphorylated tau species associated with tau propagation in vivo.

Disialoganglioside-GD2 is a key molecular target for Neuroblastoma (NB) immunotherapy based on the employment of GD2-targeting antibodies. However, about 50% of treated patients can experience tumor relapse due to limited immune-mediated cytotoxicity and poor antibody penetration into tumors. To address this problem, a tumor-penetrating photo-oncolytic phage nanovector platform is genetically and chemically developed that selectively targets GD2-expressing NB cells. The phage bioconjugates, functionalized with different photosensitizers, result in specific and selective oncolysis of GD2-positive NB cells upon light irradiation, without affecting GD2-negative ones. Cutaneous tuberculosis (CTB) is an uncommon skin infection that can mimic other dermatologic conditions and delay recognition. Herein, we present a case of TB chancre, a form of CTB caused by exogenous inoculation. A 19-year-old immunocompetent male refugee from Sudan presented with a five-month history of non-healing wounds on his right shoulder and three weeks of bilateral lower extremity weakness. Diagnostic examination revealed the presence of a spinal epidural abscess and lung consolidation, with culture of the spinal abscess positive for Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB). Objectives: Emergency department (ED) visits offer opportunities for seriously ill patients to formulate future medical care goals, yet ED clinicians lack practical strategies for these conversations. ED GOAL, a behavioral intervention, engages seriously ill yet clinically stable older adults in the ED to address advance care planning (ACP) with their outpatient clinicians. In a randomized trial, goals-of-care documentation was significantly higher in the intervention group compared to controls after three (24.3% vs. 9.9%, p = 0.03) and 6 months (31.4% vs. 12.7%, p < 0.01). This study is a sub-analysis to learn about intervention arm participants' perceived benefits and obstacles of the intervention.

A common-law system assumes that judges regularly issue new opinions that clarify and update the law over time. At the same time, our federal system assumes that state courts will do the bulk of judicial lawmaking, especially in private law. And, with a few exceptions, our broader legal system assumes that state private law has allocated entitlements and obligations into a coherent system. Rationale and objectives: To evaluate the post-deployment performance of an artificial intelligence (AI) system (Aidoc) for intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) detection and assess the utility of ChatGPT-4 Turbo for automated AI monitoring.

Materials and methods: This retrospective study evaluated 332,809 head CT examinations from 37 radiology practices across the United States (December 2023-May 2024). Of these, 13,569 cases were flagged as positive for ICH by the Aidoc AI system. A HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) -compliant version of ChatGPT-4 Turbo was used to extract data from radiology reports. Advanced age is one of the most recognizable risk factors for dry eye. Dry eye disease affects millions worldwide and can result from age-related lacrimal gland dysfunction, which correlates with a decline in lacrimal gland secretory cell function and chronic inflammation. This study investigated the potential of calorie restriction to maintain lacrimal gland and ocular surface health.
