Falls among older adults in long-term care facilities constitute a pressing concern, affecting 30% to 40% of residents each year due to physiological changes associated with aging. Such incidents precipitated injuries, extended hospitalizations, elevated healthcare costs, and increased the potential for legal liabilities. This project investigated the effect of a structured educational intervention on nursing staff knowledge of fall prevention strategies in a long-term care facility where the fall rate of 3.4% exceeded the state average of 2.5% and the national average of 3.3%. Polar ring galaxies (PRGs) are peculiar galaxies that show a ring of stars, gas, and dust oriented roughly over the poles of the central ‘host’ galaxy (i.e. roughly orthogonal to the disc of the host galaxy). The formation models for these rings involve mergers or tidal interactions of the host galaxy with another galaxy. Although the identified PRGs look different from each other, they all have a ring that is not in the same plane as the disc of the host galaxy. We present optical integral-field spectroscopic data of ten nearby (0.02 ≤ z ≤ 0.05) Seyfert 1 galaxies taken with the Keck Cosmic Web Imager. We map the spatially resolved kinematics of the [O iii] gas and stars, and investigate the alignments between their global kinematic position angles (PAs). Large-scale gas motions are primarily dominated by rotation and are kinematically aligned with the stars (ΔPA ≤ 30°). However, eight galaxies exhibit nonrotational kinematic signatures (e.g., kinematic twists, possible outflows) in their ionized gas velocity fields near the nucleus. Background: Coronary artery perforation is a rare but life-threatening complication of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Standard management includes balloon tamponade, coil embolization, or covered stent placement. Case: A 61-year-old male with diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia presented with anterior ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Angiography showed 100% occlusion of the proximal left anterior descending (LAD) artery. After drug-eluting stent (DES) placement, plaque shift led to first diagonal branch occlusion. Balloon angioplasty caused vessel perforation and tamponade, confirmed by transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE). Emergent pericardiocentesis was performed with autotransfusion. Coil embolization failed due to catheter limitations. Discussion: Autologous fat embolization was performed by harvesting …

JWST has revealed a large population of compact, red objects at z > 4 known as Little Red Dots (LRDs). We analyze the spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of 88 LRDs from the JWST PRIMER survey with complete photometric coverage from 1 to 18 μm using NIRCam and MIRI imaging, representing the most extensive SED analysis on a large LRD sample with long-wavelength MIRI data. We examine SED models in which either galaxy or active galactic nucleus (AGN) emission dominates the rest-frame UV or optical continuum, extracting physical properties to explore each scenario’s implications. I conducted this quality improvement (QI) initiative with the aim of reducing inpatient falls within an adult medical-surgical unit through the implementation of a Fall Champions model supported by structured education and decentralized nursing leadership. Inpatient falls pose a persistent threat to patient safety, often leading to injury, prolonged hospitalization, and increased healthcare costs. Internal audits conducted through VigiLanz reporting revealed inconsistent protocol compliance and minimal accountability, signaling the need for targeted practice reform. This study explores the perceptions of Muslim tourists regarding wellness-related activities while travelling in non-Muslim countries. Although halal tourism has witnessed significant global expansion, there remains a notable gap in the literature concerning the development of halal-compliant wellness products and services in destinations outside the Muslim world. Employing a qualitative methodology, in-depth interviews were undertaken with 40 Thai Muslim participants who travelled to non-Muslim countries between 2022 and 2023. This study investigates how CoPs at Plum Village retreats in France and Thailand facilitate transformative experiences and enhance mindfulness among participants in Buddhist spiritual tourism. This study, utilising a sample size of 153 visitors to a religious site and Structural Equation Modelling, examines the influential role of religious destination image in shaping tourists’ sustainable behaviours. Significant correlations emerge between attributes of religious destination image—sacred site, spiritual attraction, and more—and sustainable tourist behaviours. Background: Adolescent dating violence (DV) perpetration is a significant public health issue affecting millions of adolescents in the United States. Adverse childhood experiences such as household dysfunction (HD) have been exhibited to be risk factors for DV perpetration during adolescence and adulthood. Furthermore, the literature is scant regarding how positive parent-child relationships can mitigate these risk factors and decrease HD-related consequences among sixth-grade adolescents. This research explores the pilgrimage tradition of a women’s group in rural areas of Tasikmalaya, West Java. It reveals the phenomenon of pilgrimage activities in the women’s group grounded in social identity theory and their motivation to visit the sacred graves. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach. Background: Dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) is a functional imaging modality that can quantify tissue permeability and blood flow. Due to vasculature changes resulting from radiation therapy (RT), DCE-MRI quantitative parameters should be significantly different in regions receiving a high radiation dose compared to regions receiving a low radiation dose. This study sought to determine whether a significant difference exists in post-head-and-neck-cancer (HNC)-RT DCE-MRI quantitative parameters (Ktrans and ve) between regions of the mandible receiving a high radiation dose and regions of the mandible receiving a low radiation dose.
