This paperexamines howpower relations reshape sacred space and symbolic hierarchies by comparing two distinct artistic genres: medieval and Renaissance donor portraits, and sultanic mawlidiyyātin al-Maghreb and al-Andalus. Bothgenresintertwine devotional, aesthetic, and political dimensions, and reflect parallel shifts in representing patrons and patronage. Outcomes Following A Behaviour Change Intervention Within Hospitals To Improve Birth Registrations And Hospital Utilisation For Aboriginal And/Or Torres Strait Islander Infants: A Quasi-Experimental And Cohort Study, K. Objectives The primary objective was to determine whether a behaviour change intervention delivered to hospital staff would (1) improve the proportion of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (Aboriginal) babies being registered and (2) reduce hospital admissions and emergency presentations for babies < 6 months old. The secondary objective was an observational analysis to determine factors that might influence the proportion of registered Aboriginal births in Western Australia (WA). Design Quasi-experimental design and cohort study. Setting Five tertiary birthing hospitals in WA. Participants The intervention was delivered to health service providers who were in the five tertiary birthing hospitals. Outcome data were collected on Aboriginal babies born between 1 January 2016 and 30 June 2018 who were delivered within these hospitals. Babies in the control group (n=226) were born 6months before the intervention and intervention babies (n=232) were born 6months following the intervention. For the secondary objective, there were 4573 babies included in the analysis. Interventions A behaviour change intervention delivered to hospital staff in five hospitals. Primary and secondary outcome measures The primary outcomes were the proportion of babies who were registered and whether a baby had been admitted to hospital or an emergency department by 3 and 6 months old. The secondary outcome was to determine factors that might influence the proportion of registered Aboriginal births in WA (cohort study). Results There was evidence of a 38% reduction in emergency presentations within 6months for babies born to hospitals 6months following the staff training (OR 0.62, 95%CI 0.42 to 0.91), and little evidence of improvements in birth registrations, hospital admissions within 3 or 6months of birth or emergency department presentations within 3months of birth. Of the 4573 babies included in the cohort study, 3769 (82.4%) babies had their births registered and 804 (17.6%) babies did not. Factors that were associated with not having a birth registered included low birth weight babies with a 34% decrease in odds of having a registered birth compared with those with a normal birth weight (adjusted OR (aOR) 0.66, 95%CI 0.51 to 0.86). Timing of first antenatal visit was associated with reduced odds of having a birth registered if this occurred in the second (aOR 0.77, 95%CI 0.64 to 0.93) or third trimester (aOR 0.59, 95%CI 0.45 to 0.77) compared with the first trimester. Conclusions Our study identifies the complexities surrounding birth registrations and improved hospital utilisation for Aboriginal babies, the importance of targeted interventions and ongoing efforts needed to address this issue comprehensively.

Objectives: Community-dwelling older adults face unique challenges related to nutrition and health, but little is known about their barriers and facilitators for healthy eating behaviors. This study sought to develop and evaluate a new instrument to measure the capability, opportunity, and motivation for healthy eating behaviors (COM-HE) among community-dwelling older adults.

Design: A mixed methods approach was used to obtain qualitative and quantitative data. Participants were aged 65 years or older, community-dwelling, and English-speaking. Abstract— Information security breaches remain a serious threat across all sectors, often exploiting human factors rather than technical flaws. This study examines how a structured Information Security Awareness (ISA) training program influences employees’ knowledge of security policies, attitudes towards those policies, and self-reported security behaviors within a K-12 educational environment. A quantitative pre-test/post-test design was employed with 201 staff members (administrators, teachers, and support personnel) in a public school district. Participants completed the Human Aspects of Information Security Questionnaire (HAIS-Q) before and after undergoing an interactive cybersecurity training program. Quinoline derivatives have garnered significant attention owing to their wide range of biological activities, particularly their anticancer potential. In this study, six novel 4-aminoquinoline derivatives incorporating a phenylalanine methyl ester moiety were synthesized and structurally characterized. The cytotoxic activities of the synthesized compounds were assessed against A549 and MCF-7 cancer cell lines, along with the noncancerous NIH3T3 fibroblast cell line. Compounds 4d and 4e displayed potent anticancer activity with low IC₅₀ values, while exhibiting negligible toxicity toward normal cells. Organomontmorillonite (organo-MMT) nanocomposites are widely used in environmental, food, and pharmaceutical applications. However, their weak adsorption and ionic exchange forces during synthesis can make them unstable and unreliable. In this study, we present a novel synthesis of stable mesoporous iminocyclohexanone-Ca-MMT nanocomposites through a green, rapid, one-pot reaction. The synthesis reaction between Ca-MMT clay suspended in water and a dioxane solution of 1,3-cyclohexanedione and 4-aminophenol at 2 temperatures (60 °C and 110 °C) completed in a short reaction time. In this study, gamma-irradiated graphene oxide was incorporated into novel pH-responsive hydrogels. The biopolymer kappa carrageenan was blended with polyvinyl alcohol in a silane crosslinked biopolymer, and the effect of gamma irradiation dosage was studied. Nonhazardous tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) was used as a crosslinker. The hydrogels were characterized with chemical and thermal analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and structural analysis using a variety of analytical tools. Nanoporous silver (NPS) films, characterized by a 3-dimensional bicontinuous structure of interconnected nanopores and ligaments, have found widespread use in spectroscopy, plasmonics, solar cells, catalysis, and chemical sensing. Traditionally, NPS films are fabricated via chemical dealloying, where a less noble metal (e.g., Cu or Al) is selectively removed through harsh chemical etching. However, residual traces of these metals can adversely affect the performance of NPS thin films in applications such as plasmonics and catalysis. This submission to the Inquiry into the Thriving Kids initiative advocates for an evidence-based, inclusive approach to supporting children up to eight years with developmental delay, disability and autism within mainstream early childhood and school settings. It recommends embedding foundational supports within a Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework that integrates universal, targeted and intensive interventions according to children's needs rather than diagnosis. The submission highlights the importance of workforce capability, collaborative practice, effective leadership, high-quality assessment and screening tools, and embedded allied health support. Adequately resourcing MTSS implementation will strengthen inclusion, early intervention and educational outcomes for all children.

The newsletter was established in early 2020 when DMACC closed its facilities due to the coronavirus pandemic. The newsletter covers topics such as upcoming virtual activities and events, college resources, and community service opportunities. UFHP are at the forefront of particle accelerators, being used in interaction with electron beams to produce high-gradient electron acceleration, generation of compact radiation sources like inverse Compton scattering and free electron lasers. This study aims to enhance the writing strategy skills of Saudi female EFL students by integrating metacognitive instruction into essay writing tasks. With a one-group quasi-experimental design, the research included 34 participants. A pretest and post-test were conducted, followed by a questionnaire to explore participants’ experiences with the intervention. The instructional approach emphasised students’ awareness and regulation of metacognitive processes during writing – specifically planning, monitoring, and evaluating. Data were collected and analysed using a sequential mixed-methods explanatory design, beginning with quantitative analysis and followed by qualitative insights to enrich interpretation. Having a criminal record significantly alters a person’s life chances, decreasing their opportunities for employment, housing, student loans, voting, public benefits, and more. The collateral consequences of criminal convictions, or the civil restrictions that follow criminal convictions, are well documented. However, because individuals are connected to families and communities, it is impossible to isolate the effects of punishment to only the persons holding criminal records. Instead, the effects of criminal records might be best understood as a set of symbiotic harms, marked by relational and interdependent effects.
