The aim of this study was to assess the concentration of radon (²²²Rn) in 31 locations, including schools, public buildings, and private residences in the municipalities of Gjilan, Kamenica, and Viti, to compare the results with international standards and identify potential public health risks. Measurements were conducted during May–June 2025 using the portable AMES PRM-145 device, which detects alpha radiation through scintillation cells. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods, calculating the average radon concentration and the annual effective dose according to UNSCEAR and ICRP (2009) models. This study examines the role of media in health education and disease prevention through a combined approach of literature review and empirical analysis. The survey was conducted through a structured questionnaire administered to a representative sample of 160 people. The data showed that 91.7% consider media an influential factor in shaping their health behaviors, while 85% reported making significant health-related decisions—such as visiting a doctor or changing dietary habits—based on information obtained from media sources. This study evaluates the effect of breed and nutritional factors on the physicochemical properties of fresh milk at the Vita dairy in Istog.Eighty milk samples were analyzed, collected from 20 farms with four cow breeds: Holstein, Simmental, Red Holstein, and Montbéliarde, during the months of May–June 2024. The samples were assessed for parameters such as: fat, protein, lactose, pH, acidity, specific gravity, dry matter, and freezing point.The results show that milk from the Holstein breed has a higher content of fat (4.02%), protein (3.30%), and lactose (4.70%) compared to Simmental. This study investigates the critical relationship between demographic dynamics and urban development in post-conflict Kosovo, analyzing how population characteristics shape formal settlement growth and spatial planning efficacy. Using a mixed-methods approach, we integrated quantitative data from the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (2011-2024) with qualitative insights from expert interviews (n=15) and spatial analysis through GIS. Results indicate that Kosovo’s youthful demographic profile, rapid annual urbanization rate (1.8%), and intense internal migration have directly driven unregulated urban expansion, a proliferation of informal settlements, and significant strain on public infrastructure. Fire safety in precast concrete industrial buildings is a key concern in structural engineering due to their complex thermo-mechanical behaviour under high temperatures. This study examines how different modelling strategies and fire scenarios affect their global structural response, supporting performance-based design and safety evaluation. A representative precast building, composed of reinforced and prestressed concrete elements, is analysed through finite element simulations using SAFIR software. Dimensional Stability And Hydric Behavior Of Lime-Slag Stabilized Compressed Earth Blocks, Ines Bouteldja, Khaled Grine, Said Kenai

This study investigates the dimensional behavior of compressed earth blocks stabilized with 4% lime and varying amounts of ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS). Four formulations containing 0, 4, 8, and 12% slag were tested to evaluate linear shrinkage, swelling, and capillary absorption. The results show that increasing slag content leads to a consistent reduction in both shrinkage and swelling, indicating improved dimensional stability. For the mixture containing 12% slag, shrinkage and swelling decreased by about 27% compared to the reference, while capillary absorption dropped by nearly 70%. This study focuses on implementing SHA-256 hashing for verifying the authenticity and integrity of HTTP requests. Two approaches are analyzed: the built-in .NET SHA-256 implementation and a fully custom SHA-256 algorithm implemented from first principles.
