Lipid metabolism plays a significant role in the regulation of various critical pathways within cells, where enhanced lipid metabolism is a hallmark of cancer cell metabolism. The Hippo signalling pathway poses as an important signalling pathway that governs tissue growth control and tumorigenesis. The effector of the Hippo signalling pathway, Yes-associated protein (YAP), serves as a central regulator for this growth control. Once a tissue develops to its correct size, YAP is phosphorylated and inactivated within the cytoplasm by the activation of the Hippo pathway, where its inactivation results in YAP nucleus translocation. Background: The prevalence of psychiatric and neurological disorders in populations with human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) presents significant public health concerns including impaired quality of life, reduced antiretroviral therapy (ART) adherence, and elevated morbidity and mortality rates. Research suggests that these correlations translate to millions of people globally, given that over 25 million people are living with HIV/AIDS in the African region alone. Objective: This article explores the overlap in clinical presentation and pathophysiology between psychiatric and neurological conditions and seeks to fill current knowledge gaps regarding their co-occurrence, misdiagnosis, and impact on treatment outcomes. Synergetics is an emerging paradigm which quantitatively describes and predicts the dynamics of complex living and nonliving systems. It has illuminated how complex systems can spontaneously self-organize by coordinating the activity of their constituent components toward some coherent, collective behavior. This coordinated activity can produce complex macroscopic spatiotemporal patterns without the need for central planning. In this dissertation, we develop and explore generalizations of the Haken-Kelso-Bunz (HKB) model of coordination dynamics. BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Patient satisfaction is increasingly recognized as a key indicator of the effectiveness of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. While some studies suggest disparities in satisfaction across treatment settings, there remains limited research examining these differences, particularly among vulnerable populations. This study aimed to assess patient perceptions of satisfaction with opioid use treatment services and explore how demographic and socioeconomic factors influence these experiences.

As transit-oriented interiors increasingly evolve into complex commercial and social micro-environments and serve diverse user groups, seating design must respond beyond basic functionality to address the need for adaptation and inclusivity. This study explores adaptive and inclusive design strategies through the development of seating design in such a context. With up to 10 years of follow-up, we report results from the final analysis of RESONATE- 2, a phase 3 study of first-line ibrutinib vs chlorambucil for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL). Patients aged ≥65 years with previously untreated CLL/SLL without del(17p) were randomly assigned to receive either single-agent ibrutinib (420 mg/d; n = 136) or chlorambucil (0.5-0.8 mg/kg; ≤12 cycles; n = 133). As disputants increasingly rely upon arbitration it is critical to understand outcomes that are likely to arise from mechanisms like final offer arbitration. While a sizable experimental literature investigating strategic behavior in final offer arbitration exists, that work has overwhelmingly focused on situations where the arbitrator’s beliefs about the appropriate resolution are symmetric and uninfluenced by the disputants’ cases. This paper considers a setting where the arbitrator’s beliefs depend on the strength of each disputant’s case. We find disputant responses to changes in the relative strength of their case generally follow comparative statics predictions. Further, we find that final offers …

PURPOSE: AXL, a receptor tyrosine kinase related to oncogenic processes, is aberrantly expressed in various cancers and associated with treatment resistance. Enapotamab vedotin (EnaV), a novel anti-AXL human IgG1 and monomethyl auristatin E antibody-drug conjugate, demonstrated antitumor activity in preclinical models, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This phase 1/2 study assessed the safety and preliminary efficacy of EnaV in solid tumors. PATIENTS AND METHODS: This study comprised dose-escalation and dose-expansion phases; both phases investigated EnaV once every 3 weeks (Q3W) and EnaV on days 1, 8, and 15 of a 28-day cycle (3Q4W). Literature on higher education accessibility for undocumented and DACAmented (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) students has mostly focused on undergraduate students. This paper discusses a comprehensive study of the undocumented graduate student policies of 50 universities across the United States. Using systematic web searches and follow-up interviews with institutional liaisons, we evaluated admissions, tuition classification, funding, and social support practices through an institutional theory lens. This theory posits that institutions prioritize alignment with other institutions, which can lead to a lack of action in providing systemic services. Digital transformation in the public sector has reshaped the strategic role of archival human resources (HR), shifting from administrative executors to information curators who collaborate with artificial intelligence systems. This study aims to review and synthesize theoretical frameworks relevant to defining the core competencies of archival HR in the era of Human-AI Collaboration (HAIC). A theoretical literature review method was employed, analyzing 32 academic articles and institutional documents published between 2003 and 2025. Thematic synthesis was used to identify and classify competency dimensions into three main categories: technological-adaptive competence, socio-ethical and curatorial competence, and collaborative-systemic competence. Secondary thrombotic microangiopathies (TMAs) represent a heterogeneous group of diseases associated with a high risk of kidney failure and death despite available therapeutic strategies. Strong evidence implicates complement activation in the pathogenesis of secondary TMA, and emerging data increasingly suggest that pharmacological blockade of the complement improves the outcomes in patients with secondary TMA. Certain forms of secondary TMA, including postpartum TMA, TMA with coexisting hypertensive emergency and de novo TMA after kidney transplantation exhibit a high prevalence of pathogenic variants in complement genes, similar to those observed in primary atypical haemolytic uraemic syndrome.
