Introduction: Home healthcare nursing (HHN) is any nursing care provided in people’s homes. It includes low to very high acuity nursing services that people need throughout their lifespans (Narayan, 2025). Future trends predict nursing care around the world is migrating into people’s homes (Chabouh et al., 2023) because the home setting is frequently more patient-centered, more effective, and less costly than care in facilities (Rusli et al., 2025). Purpose: This study examined changes in Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students’ screening readiness and practice behaviors related to substance use following Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) education and training. It also evaluated the added impact of Kognito virtual simulation to identify areas for curriculum improvement.
Substance use disorder is a major public health issue, and nurses are key to early detection and intervention. Objective: This review will critically compare how national health coverage and access policies shape refugee women’s maternal outcomes across pregnancy, birth, and the first year postpartum in four selected countries (Canada, Germany, Australia, and the United States), and identify policies that negatively impact maternal outcomes of refugee women.

The overwhelming costs of maintenance for reinforced concrete structures due to steel corrosion have motivated researchers to look for alternatives. One of the promising alternatives is Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP). Among FRP materials, Carbon FRP (CFRP) is the most attractive material for prestressed concrete members due to its high tensile strength and modulus of elasticity. Previous studies investigated the use of CFRP in prestressed concrete through experimental tests and theoretical analysis. Patent Valorization And Business Performance: Evidence From An Italian Public Policy, Paolo Castelnovo, Cinzia Lombardo, Valentina Morretta

This paper evaluates the effectiveness of a public policy intervention introduced by the Italian government to support the economic valorization of patents held by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Using original survey data collected in 2025, the analysis compares firms that benefited from the measure during the 2020-2021 calls with a control group of comparable non beneficiary firms. The study examines patenting behavior, strategies for patent valorization, perceived obstacles, and innovation-related outcomes beyond traditional financial indicators. The results show that the measure effectively increases patenting activity and supports technological maturation, particularly for smaller, younger, and more resource-constrained firms, without crowding …

Co-Opted Boards And Anti-Takeover Provisions In Us Firms: Do Better Financial Outcomes And Dynamic Governance Matter?, Mohammad Dulal Miah, Rashedul Hasan, Sabur Mollah, Arun Upadhyay

This research examines the relationship between co-opted boards and firms' anti-takeover provisions (ATPs). Analyzing 5585 US firm-year observations for the period 2012–2022, the authors document a positive relationship between co-opted boards and ATPs. They further illustrate that the positive relationship is stronger in firms that exhibit subpar performance and compensate senior executives and directors more than the industry average. Furthermore, their research finds that good governance, board and executive gender diversity, gender equality, and board cultural diversity moderate the positive relationship between co-opted boards and ATPs. Purpose: Advanced practice graduate nursing students (APGNS)—including nurse anesthesia, nurse practitioner, midwifery, and clinical nurse specialist students—face intense academic and clinical demands affecting mental health and learning outcomes. The shift from 24–28-month master’s to 36-month doctoral programs has amplified stressors, especially for nurse anesthesia students. This integrative review examines resilience development, measurement, and outcomes amid evolving educational demands.
Methods: Guided by Whittemore and Knafl’s integrative review method (2005), a systematic search of PubMed, CINAHL, Embase, and PsycINFO (2010–2025) identified 204 studies; 24 met inclusion criteria. Dynamical Pathways Of Fear And Anger: Testing The Predictive Validity Of The Basic Evaluation Process Framework, Maryana Borri Madeira

The present study tested the predictive validity of the Basic Evaluation Process framework by examining whether Fear and Anger emerge as competing emotional attractors during threat appraisal. Using a mouse-tracking paradigm with audio recording, fifty participants reasoned aloud about a self-selected threatening situation while continuously rating their Fear and Anger. Cross-correlation analysis confirmed dynamic dependence between Fear and Anger, although the coupling was positive rather than negative, indicating co-activation rather than mutual suppression. Vector field analysis identified stable attractor structures for all participants, but the distribution of primary attractors across the Fear by Anger state space did not reveal a …

Water quality analysis plays an essential role in maintaining the health and sustainability of river ecosystems, especially in semi-arid regions like the Arroyo Colorado Watershed in South Texas. Since the river is a vital source of water supply for local communities, agriculture, and wildlife, it faces significant challenges and pollution from land use changes, climate variation, and agricultural runoff. The rise of Canadian Pentecostalism created unique opportunities for women to navigate structural patriarchy and achieve leadership. Tracing historical developments from early twentieth-century origins to an ethnographic study of a female-led Latina congregation in Toronto, the analysis demonstrates how Holy Spirit empowerment, pneumatological authority, and practical theological adaptations enable women, particularly marginalized Latinas, to overcome institutional obstacles.

The following policy brief was created to examine North Dakota policies that are specific to maternal mortality and morbidity reviews. The North Dakota Maternal Mortality Committee (NDMMRC) is responsible for conducting maternal mortality and morbidity reviews in the state of North Dakota. This brief is guided by policies from North Dakota and MMRC reviews from surrounding states to inform six recommendations intended that guarantee the highest quality data collection and data reporting on maternal mortality and morbidity.
