Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are among the most promising groups of two-dimensional (2D) materials for applications in electronics, optoelectronics, electrocatalysis, energy storage, and spintronics. However, large-scale, high-quality growth of 2D TMDs remains a challenge, and research is ongoing to develop controllable fabrication methods for 2D TMDs, with the aim of their potential applications in various domains. This dissertation looks at several examples of early modern pastoral in order to examine how physical movement into and out of the pastoral setting informs the degree of realism implied by that setting. While the pastoral stops short of articulating the actual social, political, and material concerns of those who literally live in the countryside, it does regularly call to mind a literal rural world. This degree of realism relates the pastoral and non-pastoral settings such that the pastoral environment can represent the complexities of urban life. Vibrato In The Singing Voice: A Survey Of Vibrato Practices In The Studio For Teachers And Coaches, Anna Alyce Tarver

Historically variable in its terminology, “vibrato” was not used until the nineteenth century. Coaches and teachers recognize it as a signature of healthy, expressive singing, except in some stylistically appropriate contexts. However, it continues to raise questions. Little data has been reported on vibrato outside of general characteristics. Only a few sources exist examining the knowledge and skillset of teachers of singing. This survey aimed to gain information on what instructors and coaches are told about vibrato in comparison to what they experience in the voice studio. This study explored the effectiveness of technology on the enhancement of independent living skills for individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD) in two MOKA smart homes. Using a quantitative research approach, the study examined how assistive technology can aid individuals with IDD to increase independence in their living skills. This research was conducted in two pilot residential homes, a men's home and a women's home. Three women and two men participated in the study. Data was collected through observation and client report utilizing the Routine Task Inventory Expanded version (RTI-E). RTI-E sections assessed for this study were the Physical (ADL), …

The Georgia Southern Botanic Garden Marketing plan details what the future marketing of the garden looks like. The plan shows the potential of the garden as a space for relaxation and education as well as a one-of-a-kind event space. Using this as the platform the goal of the plan is to show that the community and greater Statesboro area using social media and reaching out through events. Through an overhaul of the marketing of the garden it would allow it to expand its current markets and increase its contributed and earned revenue.

This paper will be exploring what a flipped classroom is; specifically how teachers use the flipped classroom. First, it is important to note that the flipped classroom is a relatively new method that has popped up as early as the early 2000s. In general, this method allows for teachers to switch the environments in which learning the concepts and doing an activity are switched. When I worked as a Jesuit in my early years at Santa Clara University, I published an essay entitled “A Ratio Studiorum for the Postcolonialist’s Classroom.” I asserted that Ignatius, founder of that religious order, “saw education as a tool for social change, not merely as an opportunity for a value-free and objective exposure to Truth. . . . Playa Sediment Bioaccessibility Presents Previously Unknown Risks To Population Health In A Water-Stressed Region Undergoing Lake Desiccation: Salton Sea, Usa, Jordan Jaeger

Globally, drylands are expanding, and endorheic basins are in rapid decline. Saline lake desiccation exposes lakebed playa likely to become dust, posing potential health risks to surrounding communities. Studies investigating health risks from playa dust exposure often focus on health effects associated with the presence of airborne particulates, but fewer studies investigate health risks associated with dust source chemistry. This study examines dust source particle composition in a desiccating inland sea in a water-stressed agricultural region of California. Specifically, chemical bioaccessibility of bound trace elements uncovers risks to children, adults, and agricultural worker health. Arsenic exposure via sediment ingestion poses …
