This study investigates the nonlinear wave structures and complex dynamical behavior of the time-fractional modified regularized long-wave (mRLW) equation through an integrated analytical, numerical, and dynamical framework, with particular emphasis on connecting localized wave formation with perturbation-induced nonlinear dynamics. Within the adopted fractional framework, a Hirota-type bilinear approach is employed to construct one-wave, two-wave, three-wave, lump, one-lump–one-soliton, and one-lump–one-stripe structures, whose numerical consistency is subsequently examined using the Modified Variational Iteration (MVI) method through graphical comparisons and L 2 and L ∞ error norms. Pasture-based dairying is important to organic milk production, but young heifers differ in how well they eat, grow, and adapt to grazing. This study tested whether commercial genetic information could help identify which heifers would perform best on pasture. Genetic samples from 139 Holstein, Jersey, Holstein-Jersey, and ProCross heifers raised on organic pastures in northern Utah were analyzed with the Neogen Igenity Select test and compared with measurements of feed intake, growth, and grazing performance. This research explored how access to everyday destinations influences neighborhood and social satisfaction among individuals with disabilities. It examined how factors such as sociodemographic characteristics, accessibility, and frequency of visits to places contribute to how people experience their neighborhoods and social lives. The study also investigated how satisfaction with one’s neighborhood can mediate the connection between accessibility and overall social satisfaction. First, the study compared different ways of measuring access to places and found that some simpler methods provide similar results to more complicated ones. Misophonia is a condition where certain everyday sounds, such as chewing or breathing, can trigger intense emotional reactions and interfere with daily life. Although research on treatments for misophonia is growing, many people still have limited access to effective care. This study tested whether acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) could be helpful when delivered through a fully self-guided online program. A total of 102 adults with significant misophonia symptoms participated in the study. Purpose – We investigate the effect of solvers’ adoption of Generative AI (GenAI) on their popularity in a supply-driven crowdsourcing platform. We also examine the impact of price signals as well as their heterogeneous impact based on the solvers’ membership duration on the platform. Design/methodology/approach – Our analysis focuses on solvers who adopt GenAI for design-related gigs on the supply-driven crowdsourcing platform. By combining propensity score matching (PSM) with multi-period difference-in-differences (DID), we examine how GenAI adoption impacts solvers’ popularity and how price signals affect this main effect. Zinc dipyrromethene complexes are promising earth-abundant photosensitizers due to their strong visible-light absorption and tunable excited states. To rationally design them for photocatalysis and photodynamic therapy, a molecular-level understanding of triplet-state formation is needed, but details of intersystem crossing remain unclear. To study the effect of π-extension, we synthesized an indole-substituted zinc dipyrrin complex: the dipyrromethane ligand was prepared from indole and mesitaldehyde, oxidized to the dipyrromethene, then coordinated with zinc. DFT and TD-DFT calculations determined ground and excited-state geometries and energies in different solvents, modeled absorption spectra, and visualized charge distributions. Despite these responsibilities, many people become department chairs without receiving formal leadership training. This study explored how kinesiology department chairs across the United States viewed their preparation for the role and the importance of leadership training. The global rise in antimicrobial resistance has catalyzed a greater focus on polymicrobial research aimed at characterizing microbial interactions and uncovering new therapeutic strategies. Though it has long been of interest, environmental soil-derived bacteria remain largely under-represented in research and thus uncharacterized in this field. This project aimed to identify soil microbes that display inhibitory mechanisms to potential nosocomial pathogens. Soil sample S1S3-2 displayed inhibitory phenotypes toward numerous bacteria and was identified as Pseudomonas baetica. The purpose of this qualitative multiple-case study was to explore kindergarten teachers’ perceptions of three instructional approaches for teaching sequencing concepts: worksheet-based instruction, hands-on manipulative instruction, and BeeBot-integrated instruction. Sequencing is a foundational early literacy skill that supports reading comprehension, story retelling, and understanding the order of events. Teachers’ attitudes towards inclusive education are widely recognised as a key indicator of the inclusiveness of classroom environments. However, existing instruments inadequately capture teachers’ mindsets in relation to inclusive education for all learners. This study addresses this gap by developing and validating a new cross-cultural measurement instrument: the Attitudes Towards Inclusion for All scale (ATIFA), in both English (ATIFA-EN) and German (ATIFA-DE). Data were collected from pre-service and in-service teachers in Australia (n = 146) and Germany (n = 238). Asphaltene precipitation is a persistent flow-assurance issue in carbonate oil wells, leading to increased intervention frequency and production losses. This study utilizes multi-decade surveillance and operational data from a mature carbonate field (1983–2023) to train and optimize five tree-based models: Decision Tree, Random Forest, Extra Trees, Gradient-Boosting Decision Tree, and CatBoost, employing a Tree-Structured Parzen Estimator. These models, constrained by operational parameters, were integrated to identify optimal settings that can minimize the frequency of asphaltene precipitation and the subsequent cleanups. Background: Prebiotic dietary supplementation has been shown to improve glucose homeostasis in type 2 diabetes patients. The aim of this analysis was to determine whether pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI) modifies the effect of prebiotic supplementation from mid-pregnancy on reducing the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Methods: In a double-blinded, randomised controlled trial, pregnant women < 21 gestational weeks were randomly assigned (1:1) to consume daily prebiotics (14.2 g galacto-oligosaccharides and fructo-oligosaccharides) or placebo (8.7 g maltodextrin) powder. An effect modification analysis was performed to assess the heterogeneity of the effect of prebiotic supplementation in relation to pre-pregnancy BMI on GDM diagnosis. Results: Between June 2016 and November 2021, 329 women were assigned to the prebiotic group (50.4%), and 323 (49.5%) were assigned to the placebo group. Overall, 288 of 652 women (44.2%) were classified as overweight/obese prior to pregnancy (BMI ≥ 25 kg/m²). The distribution was balanced, with 146/329 (44.4%) randomised to the prebiotics group and 142/323 (44.0%) in the placebo group. Progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC) is classically caused by biallelic pathogenic variants, yet monoallelic variants of uncertain significance (VUS) in PFIC-associated genes are increasingly identified in children with cholestasis, creating diagnostic uncertainty. We conducted a multicenter cohort study of children with liver disease and/or cholestasis harboring monoallelic VUS in ATP8B1, ABCB11, ABCB4, TJP2, or NR1H4. Clinical and longitudinal data were analyzed, and variant frequencies were compared with population data from gnomAD. Twenty-six children with 37 monoallelic PFIC-gene VUS met inclusion criteria, and multigenic variant burden was common (73.1%). This study quantified medication management experiences for children with medical complexity and associations with caregiver stress or benefit. Using data from the MedS@HOME trial, involvement of professional caregivers was associated with increased caregiver benefit, and greater network collective efficacy was associated with increased caregiver benefit and decreased caregiver stress.

Acute ischemic stroke requires timely reperfusion, yet treatment delays remain a challenge in urban referral systems. This retrospective cohort study evaluated factors associated with onset-to-groin puncture time among 204 patients with acute ischemic stroke who underwent mechanical thrombectomy at a national brain center hospital in Jakarta, Indonesia. Clinical, geographic, administrative, and time-related variables were analyzed using non-parametric tests and multivariable linear regression. The median onset-to-groin puncture time was 455 minutes, with an interquartile range of 236.8 minutes. This report presents the findings from industry workshops held during the Build Digital Annual Conference on 17 October 2024 in Cork.

The workshops brought together stakeholders from national infrastructure, local authority infrastructure and housing to discuss challenges, priorities and opportunities associated with digital transformation in the Irish construction sector.

The report identifies common themes including leadership and organisational support, digital skills and training, information exchange, resource allocation and the management of asset information.

The findings provide insights into the practical supports required to advance digital adoption across public sector organisations.
