Rationale: Acute limb ischemia is a vascular emergency that occurs when blood flow to a limb suddenly decreases, putting the limb at risk if not treated promptly. Acute limb ischemia accounts for 11% of all vascular emergencies, among which arm ischemia is relatively rare. It is caused by occlusion of the brachial artery, most commonly by vascular thromboembolism. We report a female patient with left upper limb ischemia induced by occlusion of the brachial artery.

A Batson challenge is an objection to the use of peremptory challenges to dismiss potential jurors based on their race; however, Batson challenges are rarely successful. In this paper, we apply Critical Race Theory (CRT) as a framework to analyze the Batson Challenge. Background/aim: To describe Graves’ Disease (GD) associated with COVID-19 infection (COVID) or its vaccines (VAC) and to compare the clinical presentations, laboratory parameters, and short-term clinical course of the disease among different etiology groups (COVID, VAC, and GD control).

Materials and methods: Included in this multicenter matched case–control, retrospective cohort study were 239 patients with newly diagnosed (n = 196) or recurrent GD (n = 43) associated with COVID (n = 79) or VAC (n = 160). This paper seeks to understand the relationship between loneliness and the support of political violence by utilizing the Chapman Survey of American Fears (CSAF Wave 11). INTRODUCTION: Lamotrigine (LTG) and Levetiracetam (LEV) are anti-seizure medications (ASMs) widely used for treatment of women with epilepsy (WWE) of childbearing age due to low teratogenic potential. Physiological changes during gestation results in enhanced clearance. Drug level monitoring and frequent dose adjustments are required to avoid decline in serum levels and compromised seizure control. Postpartum, physiological changes reverse and ASM clearance trends back to pre-pregnancy rate. Rapid metabolic changes make drug level monitoring and dose adjustments challenging. A delay in dose decrement could result in toxicity. The optimal postpartum dose reduction rate hasn't been established.

OBJECTIVES: To identify implementation factors influencing the adoption of wearable fall injury mitigation technology in long-term care (LTC) settings and develop a practical framework for technology implementation success.

DESIGN: Mixed-methods assessment of a multicenter evaluation examining organizational, staff, and resident factors affecting technology adoption.

SETTING AND PARTICIPANTS: Ten LTC facilities implementing the Tango Belt, a wearable airbag device for hip protection during falls. Analysis included 134 intervention participants (mean age 87.3 years, 76% female, 93% with fall history in past year) and comprehensive stakeholder feedback from staff, leadership, residents, and families.

Mycobacterium ulcerans, the causative agent of Buruli ulcer, produces mycolactone, a polyketide toxin traditionally studied for its role in human pathogenesis. This dissertation presents a comprehensive spatiotemporal analysis of M. ulcerans and mycolactone producing mycobacteria (MPM) ecology in the Americas and also reveals mycolactone's role in the environment as a microbial community regulator. Through comparative studies in French Guiana (endemic) and the southeastern United States (non-endemic), combined with experimental microcosm investigations, this research contributes to environmental pathogen ecology understanding. In August 2025, 99.7% of Air Canada flight attendants agreed to strike, triggering what quickly became one of the most visible labor disputes in North America. Within hours, the government declared the strike unlawful and issued a back‑to‑work order. On paper, this should have ended the disruption. In practice, it did not. Thousands of flight attendants, organized under the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), defied the order and continued protesting. CUPE believed the process was unfair, claiming the airline refused to bargain fairly knowing the government would intervene to preserve operations. The U.S. continuously intervened in Guatemalan domestic politics from 1954 to 1999 without achieving its stated goals of stability, democratization, or development. Although the threat of communism offered an initial justification for U.S. involvement, traditional geopolitical explanations failed to adequately account for the persistence of intervention.

Through the lens of constructivism, this research examines these interventions, with special attention paid to political, economic, and humanitarian factors. Clinical Evaluation Of Ozone Gel Versus Hyaluronic Acid Gel On Palatal Wound Following Free Gingival Graft Harvesting: A Randomized Clinical Trial, Hisham Tarek, Nesma Shemais, Dalia Ghalwash, • Ahmed El Barbary

Objective: This randomized clinical trial (RCT) compares the effectiveness of ozone gel (GeliO3) and hyaluronic acid (HA) gel(Gengigel) in enhancing wound healing and reducing postoperative discomfort following free gingival graft (FGG) harvesting.Methods: Fifty-six patients requiring FGG for mucogingival defects were randomly assigned into two groups: the ozone gel group and the HA gel group. The primary outcome was postoperative pain, assessed using the visual analog scale (VAS) and analgesic consumption. Secondary outcomes included wound healing, evaluated using the Landry healing index, and color match assess-ment. Data were analyzed using appropriate statistical tests with a significance level of p< 0:05.Results: Both treatment groups exhibited significant pain reduction over time (p< 0:001). Although there was no statistically significant difference between the groups, a faster decline in pain was observed in the ozone group by Day 3. Analgesic consumption was significantly lower in the ozone group on Days 2 and 3 (p ¼ 0:042). The healing index and color match scores showed a steady improvement in both groups, with the ozone group demonstrating slightly higher values at various time points, though not statistically significant.Conclusion: Both ozone gel and HA gel effectively enhanced post-FGG healing, reduced pain, and improved tissue esthetics.Ozone therapy showed potential advantages in early pain relief and lower analgesic dependence. These findings suggest that ozonetherapy may serve as an alternative or adjunctive treatment for palatal wound management in periodontal surgery. Furtherresearch is needed to confirm its clinical superiority over HA gel.
