In rural tourism destinations, residents serve as representatives of the area, and their involvement in tourism and discretionary behavior contributes to the destination’s success. The objectives of this study were to explore the community citizenship behavior (CCB) model and to examine the relationship among residents’ attachment, quality of life (QOL), and five dimensions of CCB, including involving, keeping interpersonal harmony, protecting, helping, and recommending behavior, across two stages of rural tourism destinations in Thailand. This study investigates the willingness to pay (WTP) for housing among homeless individuals in Thailand, using the contingent valuation method (CVM) and a structured choice experiment model. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews with 90 homeless individuals from Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Khon Kaen. The study aims to understand the economic value that homeless individuals are willing to pay for various types of homelessness-related housing, as well as the factors influencing their WTP. The findings reveal that while most homeless individuals express a preference for affordable rental housing, their financial capacity remains limited due to low and unstable incomes. The …

The COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped daily life and amplified mental health challenges worldwide, with university students identified as a particularly vulnerable group. To address this need, the present study evaluated the effectiveness of group mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (GMBCT) as an evidence-based intervention for students receiving psychosocial services during the pandemic. Using a pretest–posttest design, data from 34 students randomly assigned to either GMBCT or individual treatment-as-usual (TAU) provided by a university-based clinic were analyzed. Scientific production is a key performance indicator in higher education, which has motivated the search for factors that may influence its development. This study aims to analyze the impact of intellectual capital and organizational climate on scientific production at the National Intercultural University of the Amazon in Peru. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) is used, with a sample consisting of 90 professors. Professors were surveyed using the neutrosophic 2-tuple linguistics model. A Neutrosophic Random Forest Approach For Preeclamptic Risk Prediction With Uncertainty Quantification, Franklin Parrales-Bravo, Rosangela Caicedo-Quiroz, Lorenzo Cevallos-Torres, Leonel Vasquez-Cevallos, Dayron Rumbaut-Rangel

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

This study presents a novel integration of Random Forest with neutrosophic logic to improve preeclampsia risk prediction while quantifying prediction uncertainty. Using clinical data from 352 patients, the model achieved 72.73% accuracy with high sensitivity (0.898) in identifying control cases, though with lower specificity (0.235) for preeclampsia detection. Key predictors identified were birthweight and hypertension his- tory, aligning with clinical knowledge. The neutrosophic framework successfully categorized predictions into truth (T), indeterminacy (I), and falsity (F) components, revealing that 90% confidence predictions showed T = 0.9 while uncertain cases (0.5 ≤ p < 0.9) demonstrated elevated indeterminacy (I = 0.3). The main contributions include: 1) an interpretable uncertainty quantification method for clinical predictions, 2) validation of key risk factors through feature importance analysis, and 3) a practical framework for identifying cases requiring additional clinical evaluation. This approach demonstrates significant potential for enhancing decision-making in maternal healthcare.

The dataset includes information about complaint outcomes such as 'Procedentes' (resolved), 'No Procedentes' (dismissed), 'En Proceso' (pending), and 'Invalidado' (invalid). This work applies the Lyapunov method to identify instabilities and compute the growth rate of a linear time-varying system. The linear system studied describes cold fresh water on top of hot salty water with a periodically time-varying background shear flow. A time-dependent weighting matrix is employed to construct a Lyapunov function candidate. The resulting linear matrix inequalities are discretized in time using the forward Euler method. As the number of temporal discretization points increases, the growth rate predicted by the Lyapunov method or Floquet theory, used for comparison, will converge to the same value obtained from numerical simulations. Oxytocin, a hormone linked to reproduction and health, may mediate life-history trade-offs across the human life course. Yet, how oxytocin naturally varies with age remains poorly understood. Here, working with the Tsimane, forager-horticulturalists of lowland Bolivia, we collected the largest sample of oxytocin measurements to date (n = 1,242 samples, n = 405 individuals, age = 2 to 84 y, 51% female), and i) examined how oxytocin varies throughout the life course in females and males, and ii) investigated potential drivers of age- and sex-specific variation. In Gil-Férez et al. (2025), we presented a proof of Postulate 4 using purely Euclidean techniques, against which Blåsjö (2025) raised several objections. In this note, we offer linguistic, textual, historical, and mathematical evidence that demonstrate that all these objections are baseless.

Chimeric Antigen Receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy has emerged as a revolutionary treatment modality for hematologic malignancies, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). This innovative approach involves the genetic engineering of a patient's own T lymphocytes to express chimeric antigen receptors (CARs), which enables these cells to specifically recognize and eliminate malignant cells expressing target antigens. Clinical trials have demonstrated remarkable efficacy, with significant rates of complete remission and durable responses observed in patients who have relapsed or are refractory to conventional therapies. We report a case of a 55-years-old man with tension pneumothorax and extensive subcutaneous emphysema. He had cardiac arrest on arrival due to severe upper airway obstruction. During the CPR, airway management became extremely challenging due to severe upper airway emphysema. Common conventional airway techniques failed due to distorted airway anatomy. A quick surgical airway (percutaneous tracheostomy) saved his life. He was discharged home without any neurological deficit.
