Barycentric interpolation, which comes from Lagrange interpolation, is a useful method in numerical analysis. In this research paper, we explain how the barycentric interpolation formula is derived and discuss its features. We compare its stability and performance with the traditional Lagrange formula. First, we show how to get the barycentric formula from the Lagrange polynomial and present it as a rational function. We also provide an estimate of the error. Then, we use numerical examples to show that the barycentric formula is more stable and works better, especially when the degree of interpolation is high. Our results show that the …

Control Strategies For 6-Dof Quadcopter Uavs: Cascade Pid Stabilization In White Noise Conditions, An Vo Van, Hung Ha Duy

In this study, a cascade PID control structure is proposed and implemented for a 6-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to enhance stability and trajectory tracking capabilities under both noise and non-noise conditions. The controller was designed based on the Tyreus–Luyben tuning method and was evaluated using quantitative metrics, including rise time, settling time, overshoot, and steady-state error. Simulation results on MATLAB/Simulink show that the controller achieves high performance in angular channels (ϕ, θ, ψ) and altitude (z) with a short rise time (< 2s), slight overshoot (< 1%), and nearly eliminated steady-state error. However, the horizontal position channels (x, y) have a longer settling time (~110s) and are sensitive to white noise. Quantitative comparisons with other control methods show that the cascade PID outperforms the standard PID in terms of accuracy and stability, achieving a performance comparable to LQR under noise-free conditions, but is less robust in the presence of noise than advanced methods like SMC and MPC. These results confirm the feasibility of cascade PID in UAV applications and indicate potential future improvements by integrating nonlinear, adaptive, or intelligent control strategies.

This study analyzes students’ problem-solving skills on Work and Energy using a quantitative descriptive design, profiling performance across five indicators without causal claims. Participants were 85 students from SMA Negeri 1 Barru, South Sulawesi (30 males, 55 females) who answered five essay items scored on useful description, physics approach, specific application, mathematical procedure, and logical progression. Overall means were 57.73 (females) and 60.73 (males); an independent t-test showed p = .333 > .05 with Cohen’s d = 0.22 (small), indicating no meaningful overall difference. This study explores how Filipino Generation Z college students in Metro Manila utilize dark humor as a coping mechanism for stress management, mental health resilience, and navigating social dynamics. Drawing on a descriptive phenomenological approach, in-depth interviews with nine students aged 21 to 23 years old revealed that dark humor operates as both an emotional outlet and a cultural expression rooted in Filipino values. Observations of third-grade students at SD Negeri Gedongtengen were conducted using in-depth interviews within a Design Thinking approach to explore their fears, difficulties, and concerns about learning. This study aimed to analyze the use of Quizizz Paper Mode as an evaluation medium in mathematics learning. A quantitative descriptive method was used with 28 students as participants. The research instruments included evaluation questions, questionnaires, and structured interviews. The findings showed that Quizizz Paper Mode was effective for evaluating mathematics learning, with an average student score of 78.5 and most scores above 70. Students’ perceptions were highly positive: 80% considered the method easy to use, 85% stated that the questions were clear, and 70% felt more motivated. This study aimed to assist students who had not yet met the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) through a Design Thinking approach consisting of the empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing stages.
