The study correlated the digital literacy skills of librarians in academic libraries in Taraba State, Nigeria and their services delivery. The correlational design was adopted in studying 112 librarians drawn from 11 academic libraries in Taraba State. A researcher-made questionnaire was used for data collection. 112 copies of the questionnaire were administered but 109 were retrieved. Data was analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The single null hypothesis was tested at 0.05 level of significance using the linear regression. Countries around the world su er from outbreaks of viral diseases. These outbreaks are worsened by socio-economic inequality, both nationally and internationally. To combat these outbreaks, scientific research is conducted. Our paper analyzes the NIH GenBank virus research network (a net record of virus research from 1992-2018) to discover viral outbreaks and ask how the network responded in the event of these outbreaks, with interest in the changes in collaboration between research teams, increased activity, and when + where this activity occurred with the objective of examining the equity of the international response to public health events. Scholarly communication librarianship is always evolving. It is inherently malleable and context-dependent. Relevant skills can be challenging to learn in most LIS programs.

As a result, the experiences that shaped our early careers in scholarly communication were essential. Time at institutions with well-resourced, well-established, and highly visible scholarly communication programs, at MIT, Harvard, and the University of Michigan, showed us what was possible with a team working toward shared goals: where to look for opportunities, how to engage in strategic decision-making, when to keep nudging, and when to back-burner an effort.

The goal of industrial/organizational (IO) psychology, is to build and organize trustworthy knowledge about people-related phenomena in the workplace. Unfortunately, as with other scientific disciplines, our discipline may be experiencing a “crisis of confidence” stemming from the lack of reproducibility and replicability of many of our field's research findings, which would suggest that much of our research may be untrustworthy. If a scientific discipline's research is deemed untrustworthy, it can have dire consequences, including the withdraw of funding for future research. In this focal article, we review the current state of reproducibility and replicability in IO psychology and related fields. …

The growth of scientific papers in the past decades calls for effective claim extraction tools to automatically and accurately locate key claims from unstructured text. Such claims will benefit content-wise aggregated exploration of scientific knowledge beyond the metadata level. One challenge of building such a model is how to effectively use limited labeled training data. In this paper, we compared transfer learning and contrastive learning frameworks in terms of performance, time and training data size. We found contrastive learning has better performance at a lower cost of data across all models. Our contrastive-learning-based model ClaimDistiller has the highest performance, boosting …
