The study examined library security mechanisms as a predictor for combating book theft and vandalism among undergraduates in university libraries in Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria. The survey design was adopted in the study, the study population consisted 16,293 undergraduates from the University of Ibadan, Kola Daisi University and Lead City University. The systematic sampling with sampling fraction of 5% was used to select a sample of 353 undergraduates used in the study. Over the years, there has been an increase awakening on plagiarism and the need to curb it, especially among postgraduate students. Hence, the need for them to have a good knowledge of plagiarism software.

This study investigates the adoption and use of plagiarism software among postgraduate students in universities in South-west Nigeria. Employing a survey research design and random sampling, thirty-four postgraduate students from each of the universities were selected.

The study explored the use of Wikipedia as a source of information by the engineering students at Nellore dist in Andhra Pradesh. The study also tries to examine the reasons to prefer Wikipedia over the traditional encyclopaedia by the engineering students. The study adopted survey method and an online questionnaire for collecting the data from the respondents. After analysing the data the results revealed that ‘easy to understand’ was the reason to prefer Wikipedia to the traditional encyclopedia. The study sampled views from 200 undergraduate students at the School of Pharmacy and School of Basic and Biomedical Sciences. This study’s aim was to explore students’ access and usage of electronic resources in the University of Health and Allied Sciences’ library to make recommendations based on the results for a successful electronic resource provision and access. The study found that about 80% of students were aware of all the e-resources available in the University library, 46% use them daily, and 94% use HINARI, JSTOR, MEDLINE and PubMed. The semantic web environment's world connecting identifiers are critical components. Linked open data is based on the URI and URL of multiple digital library repositories. The article discusses how to integrate ILS-OPAC using open source tools and how to search for linkage identifiers in ILS-OPAC. Authority and bibliographic linking are enabled using MarcEdit's Bibframe-based structure, linking IDs, and the SPARQL browser. It is simple to transfer linked data from library MARC records to IDs. Purpose: This article examines the self-efficacy and research output of librarians in polytechnic libraries in South-South Nigeria.

Design, methodology, and approach: This study adopted an ex-post facto research design and used a questionnaire to collect data from librarians in Polytechnic Libraries in South-South, Nigeria.

Findings: This study showed a moderate relationship between self-efficacy and the research output of librarians in polytechnic libraries in southern Nigeria. The study also revealed that self-efficacy will significantly predict research output among librarians in polytechnic libraries in southern Nigeria.

This study investigated user perceptions and challenges associated with accessing and utilizing electronic resources at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), including their implications for remote users. Using a quantitative research approach and survey methodology, the study involved 1,680 participants: 1,513 students, 140 academic staff, and 27 academic librarians. Employing a combination of probability (stratified random and systematic) and nonprobability (purposive) sampling ensured comprehensive representation. Participants completed self-administered closed-ended questionnaires distributed through online platforms, primarily Google Forms. This article showcases a prototype VPN-based cloud strategy that uses SoftEther VPN and Microsoft Azure to manage and exchange library management systems and repositories. The prototype was tested for performance, security, and scalability, and the results suggest that the VPN-based cloud strategy is a viable solution for managing distributed library repositories. By using SoftEther VPN and Microsoft Azure, the prototype provided secure communication and scalability to handle large numbers of concurrent users. Future research can explore other VPN technologies and cloud platforms to enhance the prototype's capabilities and evaluate its performance in various scenarios.

The purpose of this work is to do an exploratory descriptive analysis of topics included in Artificial Intelligence (AI) electronic library guides of academic libraries. AI library guides from members of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) are chosen for selection. Of the 48 libraries randomly selected, 25 have AI guides. Data collected was subject to a content analysis process which included the use of terms co-occurrence using the VOSviewer software. The results show three clusters of terms, which are complemented with the discussion of materials found in the guides.
