In 2018 Providence launched its Digital Commons Institutional Repository (IR) becoming one of only a small group of large health systems providing such a service. In nearing the end of Year 4 there has been sustained growth and continued engagement of this initiative. Expanding on the initial ask from senior leadership to simply track and compile Providence scholarly activity, subsequent years saw significant development in scope and scale of the IR. Purpose:-The present study aims to report the academic use of social media by medical students in the government medical college, Kozhikode, Kerala-India.

Methodology:-Electronic questionnaires using Google Forms were distributed to collect data from the targeted participants and data were analysed with the help of IBM-SPSS using descriptive statistics including frequency and percentage methods.

Quality Evaluation Of Consumer Health Information Websites Found On Google Using Discern, Craap, And Honcode, Ivan A. Portillo, Catherine V. Johnson, Scott Y. Johnson

Library Articles and Research

Online health misinformation is a growing problem, and health information professionals and consumers would benefit from an evaluation of health websites for reliability and trustworthiness. Terms from the Google COVID-19 Search Trends dataset were searched on Google to determine the most frequently appearing consumer health information websites. The quality of the resulting top five websites was evaluated. The top five websites that appeared most frequently were WebMD, Mayo Clinic, Healthline, MedlinePlus, and Medical News Today, respectively. All websites, except Medline Plus, received HONcode certification. Based on DISCERN and CRAAP scores, MedlinePlus was found to be the most reliable health website.

The research looks into the information literacy skills of students at RIPANS Aizawl, Mizoram. To accomplish the goal, structured questionnaires were distributed to 150 respondents, of which 144 received questionnaires. There were 6 departments, and 25 questionnaires were distributed to students from each department. The results show that several students understand how to access and use information to meet their needs. They go on to say that they needed more information literacy awareness to become information literate, and that they needed a large number of books with the most recent editions in the library to have reliable information. Introduction: Library branding is a strategy that creates a positive and long-standing image towards the provided services in the minds of users. The present study aimed to explore the barriers and facilitators of branding in libraries and medical information centers in Iran.

Design/materials: This is a qualitative study with the deductive approach conducted using semi-structured interviews with some managers in libraries and medical information centers. Faculty librarians at the Greenblatt Library implemented two innovative approaches for incorporating virtual reality (VR) experiences in health sciences education. The first project involves using VR to develop an escape room that introduces players to research data management principles and best practices. The second project incorporates curriculum-based VR experiences developed for the university’s undergraduate medical students and makes them available through a public space in the health sciences library. The library is centrally located on campus and is open extended hours, allowing for increased access to the VR experiences. Objective: In order to determine the status of scholarly efforts on health literacy by librarians, researchers examined the characteristics of health literacy publications authored by librarians from 2000 to 2020.

Methods: Bibliometrics were used to assess the productivity, affiliations, collaboration, and citation metrics of librarians in health literacy-related research. Data were collected using the Scopus database and articles were screened for inclusion in Rayyan software before importation into Microsoft Excel for analysis. SPSS statistical software used to run basic descriptive statistics.

One question asks residents which types of articles or sources they use to find information. Objective: To discuss the development, perception, and impact of a stand-alone workshop intended to introduce faculty and graduate students to systematic review methodology.

Methods: Development/revision of the workshop was examined through content analysis of lesson plans, PowerPoints, class examples and handouts. A short questionnaire was sent to participants within a few days of most workshops since 2018; all responses were analyzed to explore participant perceptions. Impact was assessed with an additional questionnaire sent in 2021 to all previous participants asking about progress and/or intentions to complete a systematic review.
