Officials at ETSU have narrowed the suggested names, submitted by nearly 500 viewers in recent weeks, for the female eagle Boone has chosen as his mate.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 9, 2022) – Officials from East Tennessee State University (ETSU) and Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) signed an articulation agreement today that expands admissions opportunities for ETSU students who are interested in a career in medicine.

The agreement creates a “Guaranteed Admissions Interview Program” for ETSU undergraduates who have applied to attend medical school at VCOM. Students who meet the criteria for the program will interview on campus at VCOM with three VCOM faculty/administrators and participate in the designated interview day activities.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 7, 2022) – Math education major Tataya Johnson isn’t sure where she wants to eventually teach.

She does want to be wherever “the biggest need is.” 

“I want to help those who need it most because I was once the young girl from an inner city who did not have access to support systems that every child needs to be successful,” said Johnson, a junior at East Tennessee State University.

Recently, firms have increasingly approached their own customers for assistance with corporate political activities—a strategy known as constituency building. While constituency building efforts targeting shareholders and employees have been well-studied, relatively little is known about the impact of approaching consumers. Hence, this paper examines why consumers participate in corporate political activities on behalf of a brand, and we present three studies to explore this increasingly popular practice. First, Study 1 utilizes qualitative interviews with actual campaign participants to provide initial insights to develop our theoretical model, which we subsequently test in two experiments. This dissertation aims to investigate the relationship between managerial cultural intelligence, marketing agility and innovation capability of foreign subsidiaries. Based on upper echelons theory (UET), I argue that managerial cultural intelligence facilitates marketing agility. Moreover, marketing agility is positively associated with innovation capability of foreign subsidiaries. Using two-wave survey data of 110 foreign subsidiaries in China, this study verified the theoretical model. It is found that managerial cultural intelligence is positively associated with marketing agility, and marketing agility is positively related to innovation capability of foreign subsidiaries.
