Supporting employees who are parents is essential. Harvard data shows 73% of employees have caregiving responsibilities, highlighting the need for proactive strategies. First, communicate with employees to understand their needs for flexibility. Consider offering flexible schedules, part-time roles, and on-call staff to manage absences. Partnering with local childcare providers for sick coverage and allowing children at work occasionally can also help. Clear communication and defined parameters for flexibility are crucial. Implementing these strategies can build a supportive culture, enhancing employee retention and commitment.

Disparities in employee representation persist in higher-level organizational positions despite recent attention to workforce diversity and its associated benefits. This study uses an experiment to examine how offering managers financial incentives to accomplish diversity initiatives (hereafter, “diversity incentives”) and initiative specificity interact to influence managers’ promotion decisions and employees’ effort choices in a promotion setting.
The results suggest that as underrepresented employees’ pre-promotion efforts increase relative to overrepresented employees’ efforts, …

Overall organizational stability (i.e., productivity and financial capabilities) is maintained when skilled employees are successfully recruited and trained as …

I analyze the S&P 500 from 2011 – 2021 utilizing the within estimation method for fixed effects regression models to find that a one point increase in a firm’s ESG disclosure score is associated with a 0.49% increase in CEO compensation, ceteris paribus. However, certain S&P 500 industries have an advantage in boosting their ESG disclosure score relative to other industries. After including interaction terms between industry and ESG disclosure score, I find that, for the median industry, a one point increase …

However, despite its importance, the link between safety climate and non-safety outcomes remains underexplored in the literature. In response, this study proposed a model based on social exchange theory, which highlights the crucial role of organizational support in explaining the relationship between safety climate and …
