廢名（本名馮文炳）小說中的詩意或禪意表達總是為研究者稱頌，遣詞用句有其獨特風格。他一生創作了兩部長篇小說，《橋》和《莫須有先生傳》（下稱《莫》）。雖長篇小說數目遠遠不及其短篇小說，但已經展現出兩種截然不同的創作風格。簡而言之，前者比後者要晦澀很多（像《莫》這種帶點遊戲筆墨的可能更難懂），篇幅結構鬆散，一如普遍評論家的意見，像散文式小說。

關於作者的作品風格、意象、主題等表現，學界已有不少討論。本文嘗試把焦點回歸故事本身，重新審視前人研究中被忽略的人物和細節，輔以研究作者的創作觀等其他因素，觀察《橋》的故事或其變化可能隱含的意義。儘管作者寫長篇小說的技巧有所欠缺，但當中對於「人」和「苦難」的思考，卻是值得關注的。

In recent years, far right-wing political parties have gained power around the world. Far-right movements build a populist, anti-establishment support base through the use of ethno-nationalism and xenophobic policies and slogans. This article applies the models and party frames used to study European far-right movements and applies them to the case of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan (LDP), a party whose policies under prime ministers Junichiro Koizumi and Shinzo Abe have pushed the party from having a center-right stance to having more of a far-right nationalist and populist one. When the Qing dynasty fell in 1912, Chinese nationalist and communist forces fought to gain power. Both groups looked to build their base of support among the socially repressed, which included women and peasants. Thus, women’s emancipation became a central issue, and it remained primary until 1924, during an era known as the May Fourth Movement (Lan and Fong 1999, p. ix). During the past ten years, China has actively promoted its Confucius Institute (CI), a program of instruction in Chinese language and culture for college students outside of China. The program’s stated purpose is to meet an existing demand for education in Chinese language and culture, with the intent of strengthening relationships between China and other countries in order to promote a more harmonious world. China And The North Korean Refugee Crisis, Christina Ahn

On 8 May 2002, shocking images of five North Korean refugees at a Japanese consulate in northeast China were captured. Although two members of the party—both men—successfully made it inside the consulate, two women and a child were dragged away from the gate of their safe haven by Chinese police (Gittings 2002). All five individuals were eventually detained—and though their fates remain unknown, it is likely they were immediately deported to North Korea, possibly the worst outcome for any North Korean defector.

Until the seventeenth century, it was exceedingly rare to find art depicting everyday Japanese life. It was only when artists began painting scenes from the street life in Yoshiwara, the red light district in the capital city of the time, that the popular school of art known as “Ukiyo-e,” a highly fashionable style of Japanese woodblock prints, was formed (J.E.L. 1914, pp. 1–4). Despite the number of narratives regarding the negative outcomes and experiences of the Down to the Countryside Movement during the Cultural Revolution, there is a scarce amount of literature in the West regarding the fringe benefits of the movement. This long-form journalistic piece is about radioactive forests in Yamakiya, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, and how locals are dealing with it. Residents of Yamakiya were forced to evacuate their village in April 2011 following an explosion at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.

One Yamakiyan, Hidekatsu Ouchi, stepped into the role of community leader and is the focus of this story. He hopes Yamakiya can use the radiation, rather than condemning it. As a fixed 31-syllable form of short poetry, Japan's tanka is one of the world's oldest forms of still-practiced poetry, with examples perhaps dating back to the fifth century. In the modern periods of Meiji (1868-1912) and Taishō (1912-1926), poets radically reformed the genre, expanding diction beyond millennium-old classical limits, thereby allowing poets to write not only about cherry blossoms and tragic love but also about things like steam trains and baseball games; although today many tanka poets in practicing circles still employ classical Japanese, many modern masters innovated the genre by skillfully blending in colloquial language. 〈公共交通工具的社會建構及其他〉 : 新詩創作三十首, Ki Chau Hon

交通工具是日常生活中不可缺少的事物，除了是人們行走各處的途徑，也是公共空間的一種，其特性在文學作品中也多有表述。這次的創作計劃分三輯共三十首新詩作品，意在用不同角度敘述相關的香港故事，從而反思我們的日常生活，以及當中的歷史、文化論述。

第一輯的詩作回應了一些歷史／社會事件，包括六七暴動、移民潮、保育皇后 碼頭運動等，並用較抽離的視角反思它們對當下社會的影響。第二輯則更注視地方與交通工具的連繫，例如坪州、馬鞍山礦洞等地，除了有回顧歷史及城市變化的地文書寫，也關注當地人們的日常生活。第三輯以宏觀的角度，輔以平日的觀察，思考人與人／人與城市的關係，因而較多哲思及情感抒發，亦思考了汽車等工業產物以外的移動方式。整個創作計劃歷時近一年，希望聚焦在當下的香港故事，用現在的角度審視城市的身世，也並非漁翁撒網式地把所有交通工具都書寫一遍，而專注於主流聲音所忽略的事物。

坂口安吾隨筆對香港九十後身份認同的意義, Sin Ying Cheung

日本作家坂口安吾在太平洋戰爭期間及之後的混亂期，寫下不少向社會提出「墮落」倡議的隨筆作品，涉及身份認同的篇幅不少，在當時的日本社會中佔有獨特的席位。筆者認為，香港九十後面對身份認同困境，閱讀坂口安吾隨筆實有一定的意義。

本文首先解釋香港的身份認同問題，繼而指出香港九十後一代在香港身份認同歷程中的獨特地位。在論述坂口安吾隨筆和身份認同的關係之後，以坂口安吾在太平洋戰爭期間及之後發表的隨筆作品為主，例如〈墮落論〉、〈天皇小論〉及〈日本文化之我見〉等，分析坂口安吾為日本社會書寫的身份認同倡議，例如反思天皇制、放棄傳統等等，並根據香港九十後一代面對的身份認同問題，例如「中華民族」身份對香港人的影響，找出坂口安吾隨筆在身份認同上對香港九十後的意義，最後進一步說明文學與社會的關係。

The problematic relationship of Giuseppe Ungaretti (1888-1970) with Alexandria of Egypt – his city of birth – sheds light on the interplay between memory and oblivion in his poetry and prose. The shuttling back and forth between these poles marks the nature of his unfulfilled desire to recreate a lost Alexandrian atmosphere. In Ungaretti’s works, language opacity is coupled with his attempts to represent a city—as he writes—that is suffocated by the sun and whose hidden ancient port is submerged in the depth of the sea. Jane Geaney argues that early Chinese conceptions of speech and naming cannot be properly understood if viewed through the dominant Western philosophical tradition in which language is framed through dualisms that are based on hierarchies of speech and writing, such as reality/appearance and one/many. Instead, early Chinese texts repeatedly create pairings of sounds and various visible things. This aural/visual polarity suggests that texts from early China treat speech as a bodily practice that is not detachable from its use in everyday experience. 一個國家的文字往往反映其獨特的思想文化，漢代許慎的《說文解字》作為中國歷史上第一部有系統地考證字源的字書，當中對每個字的解釋都蘊藏了深刻的中國文化。本文以《說文解字》中的「女部」形容詞作為研究範圍。希望透過分析許慎為這些字所下的定義，配合歷史古籍，窺探古代女性的形象和地位，並嘗試探討背後的中國傳統文化思想。本文首先將《說文》「女部」可作為形容詞的字分為褒義及貶義，然後再按意義類別編排分類，其中褒義分為六大類，貶義分為五大類。由於《說文》「女部」中可以用來形容不同事物的字眾多，故本文只會抽取一部份來進行研究，詳細字義分類及解釋可參考附錄。

文字是文化的載體，也負著文化承傳的責任。透過文字研究，人們能夠了解古代社會發展的面貌。自古以來，水與人類的生活息息相關，也對古代文明產生重要影響。因此，古人創造了不少與水有關的文字用作日常生活的記錄。這些文字可反映古人和水之間的互動，並能呈現中國古代社會的面貌。本文以東漢許慎（58－147）所編的《說文解字》水部字例為研究對象，透過研究字義並引用相關史料及文獻作佐證，了解中國古代人類對水的認知，以及水對古代社會及文化發展的影響。

本文會先分析《說文解字》水部字的構字方式，並以其字義作分類整理。然後會從《說文解字》水部選取部份字例，解釋它們在《說文解字》中所記錄的字義，並以相關的文獻資料作補充，從中了解水與中國古代社會的關係。本文會就三個主題作分析和討論，以了解水對人類古代社會發展與生活的重要性。第一、古人對地理面貌的掌握和了解，以及水利工程的興建。第二、水在古代經濟活動如農業、紡織業等所發揮的功用。第三、古代人如何使用水去改善生活及所產生的文化意義。

《說文解字》省形字的說解系統研究, Hin Chi Tam

漢人許慎所著的《說文解字》為中國現存最早亦最完整的字書，許慎以「六書」、「省形」、「省聲」、「亦聲字」等概念為九千多個漢字的形音義作解析，其中「省形字」與「省聲字」並稱為「省變字」。從清代以來研究省聲字的學者很多，亦因而衍生出不少學說及理論，但對於省形字的分析卻未有跟上這樣的步伐，更有學者全面地否認省形字的存在 ，但大多的學者對於省形字都抱有肯定卻存疑的態度。大多數的學者對省形字的研究都環繞著將省形字重新歸納入「六書」中，但對於省形字所擁有的系統性及科學性卻沒有一個完整的說明，本文將就《說文解字》中「省形」說的系統作一淺述，包括省形字的內部系統和外部系統以及省形字出現的原因，以此來說明「省形說」的客觀性。

「鬼」字在香港粵語句子中的語法特性, Ka Yan Tsang

中國人對「鬼」字一般比較忌諱，但廣東話中，「鬼」字的用法卻多不勝數，除了有豐富的與「鬼」字搭配而成的俗語和詞彙外，在日常的口語中，「鬼」字的使用也十分普遍。在香港，「鬼」字的使用好像是一種語言習慣，不少香港人在說話時都會不自覺地在句子中加上「鬼」字。其中，有一些「鬼」字的用法更是廣東話獨有的，極具特色。因此，本文將會從「鬼」的基本義入手，進而分析「鬼」字在廣東話中的詞類轉變，以及「鬼」字在不同句子中的語法特色。

本文將集中討論「鬼」字在口語句子中的使用情況。本文會以詞類作為劃分，從名詞、副詞和助詞，羅列出「鬼」字會出現在香港粵語中那些句子結構，並從中分析「鬼」字的語法意義和功能，以及探討「鬼」字在不同詞類之間的關係。為確保所討論的「鬼」字用法是常見於香港的新聞和日常的溝通中，本文討論「鬼」字在不同的句子結構時，會附以多條相應的例句供參考，語料的來源主要是本地報章的報導內文的句子，也有少部分源自日常生活中的口頭例句。

成語大多起源於古代，是構成漢語詞彙體系中重要的一環。至今，我們還經常利用他們來行文造句。雖然大部分成語只是由四字形式，但其結構凝固、文字精煉、概括性強的獨特性，使成語具備歷久不衰的生命力。

相信不少人對成語的今義都很熟悉，但對於個別成語的出處、本義、甚至其語義的演變過程及原因，很多人只是一知半解。故此，本文以《詩經》成語的演變為題目，從歷時性的角度探析成語從雛形發展至今的意義轉變，全面地掌握成語的意義，有助我們更恰當地運用成語。

《詩經》是中國文學發展史上最早出現的詩集。從內容的角度來看，詩歌題材豐富，從各方面反映周代社會的生活面貌。從語言的角度來看，詩歌文字精煉優美，表現出上古詩歌活潑生動的一面。在漢語詞彙系統中，不少成語就是源自《詩經》，故此本文將以《詩經》為研究對象。

任何一種語言的發展都有其背後的原因，因此本文也會嘗試分析成語意義的演變與社會、心理、和語言自身的關係。

被神化的異僧 : 從《濟公全傳》分析濟公形象及其背後意蘊, Wan Ting Wong

濟公是中國家傳戶曉的人物，說起濟公，大多人的第一印象都是瘋瘋癲癲的。他衣著破舊、行為反常、酒肉不離身，是一個不守佛門戒律的和尚。然而，這位不受佛門認可的和尚卻在凡間混得如魚得水，不少高官顯貴都尊稱他一聲「聖僧」，而百姓更是視他如「活佛」。濟公看似是一個普通的和尚，但他卻擁有神通、仙藥，破爛的衣衫是降魔伏妖的神器。濟公身上充滿神秘色彩，亦具有極大的研究空間。本文以清代郭小亭《濟公全傳》（全稱《評演濟公傳》）為研究重心，分析濟公在作品中的不同形象，及與社會、佛教的關係。

本論文主要分為四部分：第一章為導言。第二章分析濟公的文本形象及其表達的社會意義，當中他的形象將會以丐、俠、藥、癲、聖五方面逐一剖析。第三章闡釋濟公和傳統佛教、民間宗教的關係。第四章則為全文總結。
