從也斯看飲食文學的後殖民書寫 : 以《蔬菜的政治》、《帶一枚苦瓜旅行》為例, Wing Yan Tsui

也斯是香港的重要作家和文學家，他在詩歌、小說、散文、戲劇等方面都有所成就，其作品更被翻譯成多種外國語言，包括英、德、法、日語，可謂中外著名。也斯作品的內容大多離不開兩個關鍵詞：香港和飲食。尤其他的詩作，經常以飲食為主題，開創了「食物詩」的寫作風格，在飲食中反思文化、歷史、社會、人生等等。後殖民是當代文學研究的常見議題，香港也正處於後殖民狀態，如此更有特別意義。也斯自己亦對後殖民和飲食的結合感興趣，著有小說集《後殖民食物與愛情》，前人對也斯作品的後殖民研究也多以此為文本，故本文特意採用其詩作為研究對象，嘗試新的角度，旨在從香港文學出發，探討飲食文學中的後殖民書寫，思考飲食文學如何呈現後殖民元素，以及飲食對後殖民的意義。

本文可分為五個部分，第一部分是緒論，包括研究動機、文獻回顧和研究方法。第二部分闡述後殖民的相關概念，整理中西學者以往的後殖民理論。第三部分從文本入手，選取也斯詩集《蔬菜的政治》和《帶一枚苦瓜旅行》中與以飲食為主題的詩作，詳細分析飲食文學中的後殖民書寫，當中又可分為三個論點：香港本土文化形成的基礎、多元飲食文化並存的現象、由食物貴賤看文化階級的觀念。第四部分連接也斯的文本和其他學者的飲食文學理論，整體地探討飲食在後殖民書寫的角色和意義。第五部分為結論，總結全文重點。

WWII saw the forced removal of around 120,000 Japanese Americans to concentration camps across the United States. Despite being incarcerated in often unforgiving social, political, and physical environments, many incarcerees developed means of continuing Japanese cultural traditions and music. Since that time, former incarcerees have largely avoided detailed discussion of their experiences of imprisonment, and as such, there is little information to determine what kind of impact incarceration had on their individual and collective musical worlds.

Memory Bread, constituting a daily performance ritual and the post-action objects, seeks to address the generational decline of mother language use in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, a post-colonized province of China. I chose to eat sliced white bread in the performance and later casted concrete sculptures as the extension of the action for both substances’ capitalistic nature. Being an invasive material that took over the traditional architectural lifestyle, the use of concrete mirrors the pervasive cultural and ethnic assimilation in China. At the dawn of the twentieth century, the Chinese formulation of art history underwent dramatic changes. It moved away from the traditional narratives that did not follow a strict chronology to adopt the Western linear model which emphasizes progress and national identity. Based on the premodern tradition, the modern formulations of Chinese art history began as a political strategy for nation building amid the political upheavals, including military attacks on China that led to the end of Qing imperial rule and the beginning of the Republican era (1912-1949).

Although they started due to an extradition bill, the demonstrations are deeply rooted in larger concerns regarding Hong Kong’s place within China and its future. The global responses to the protest, from Beijing to London, reveal a complex web of relationships and interests. งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์สองประการ ประการแรกเพื่อศึกษาอุปลักษณ์เชิงมโนทัศน์ในนวนิยาย จีนเรื่อง “เทียนถางซฺว่านถายจือเกอ” ประการที่สองเพื่อวิเคราะห์อุปลักษณ์เชิงมโนทัศน์ในนวนิยายจีน เรื่อง “เทียนถางซฺว่านถายจือเกอ” เปรียบเทียบกับการแปลเพื่อการสื่อสารในฉบับแปลภาษาไทยเรื่อง “ลำนำกระเทียม” ผลการศึกษาพบว่า อุปลักษณ์เชิงมโนทัศน์ในนวนิยายจีน “เทียนถางซฺว่านถายจือเกอ” สามารถ แบ่งออกเป็นสองประเภทหลัก ได้แก่ มโนอุปลักษณ์สิ่งมีชีวิตและมโนอุปลักษณ์สิ่งไม่มีชีวิต มโนอุปลักษณ์ส่วนใหญ่ที่พบคือมโนอุปลักษณ์สิ่งมีชีวิต มโนอุปลักษณ์ดังกล่าวที่พบทั้งสองสะท้อนถึง วัฒนธรรมด้านต่าง ๆ ของชาวจีน เช่น ชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ สิ่งแวดล้อม สภาพภูมิอากาศ และความคิดและ ความเชื่อ เป็นต้น จากการเปรียบเทียบอุปลักษณ์เชิงมโนทัศน์ในต้นฉบับกับฉบับแปลดังกล่าวข้างต้น พบการแปล สองประเภทหลัก ได้แก่ 1) การแปลที่พยายามรักษารูปแบบการใช้อุปลักษณ์ของต้นฉบับและ 2) การ แปลแบบเอาความ การแปลที่พยายามรักษารูปแบบการใช้อุปลักษณ์ของต้นฉบับสามารถแบ่งออกเป็น (1) แปลตรงและภาษาไทยใช้ตัวเปรียบเดียวกัน (2) แปลตรงแต่ภาษาไทยไม่ได้ใช้ตัวเปรียบเดียวกันและ (3) แปลตรงบางส่วน ส่วนการแปลแบบเอาความสามารถแบ่งออกเป็น (1) แปลแบบอธิบายความและ (2) แปลด้วยถ้อยคำ ภาษาไทยในลักษณะเดียวกัน จากการศึกษาพบว่าส่วนใหญ่ผู้แปลใช้การแปลแบบ เอาความ เนื่องจากวัฒนธรรมที่แตกต่างกันระหว่างไทยกับจีนทำให้อุปลักษณ์เชิงมโนทัศน์ของจีนต่างกับ ไทย รองลงมาได้แก่การแปลตรงและภาษาไทยใช้ตัวเปรียบเดียวกัน เพราะแม้วัฒนธรรมส่วนใหญ่ แตกต่างกัน แต่อุปลักษณ์เชิงมโนทัศน์ก็มีความคล้ายคลึงกันอยู่บ้างหรือการใช้อุปลักษณ์ของต้นฉบับจีน สื่อความหมายได้เห็นภาพตรงไปตรงมาที่ผู้อ่านชาวไทยเข้าใจได้ และยังรวมถึงการที่ผู้แปลต้องการรักษา อรรถรสของเรื่องจึงต้องการคงอุปลักษณ์ในต้นฉบับไว้

Tracing Dao: A Comparison Of Dao 道 In The Daoist Classics And Derridean “Trace”, Steven Burik

This paper attempts to draw a comparison between Derrida’s idea of “trace” (in connection to his more famous ideas of différance, supplement, and deconstruction) and the idea of dao in classical Daoism (Laozi and Zhuangzi). I explore the viability of applying Derrida’s thoughts with regard to “trace” to Daoism. It is argued that if dao is read in a non-metaphysical way, then the Derridean idea of “trace” will show large overlaps with dao. I then try to show how, despite some obvious differences, a “trace” reading of dao enables a clearer understanding of dao that would see it not as …

Luxurious Surfaces: Chinese Decorative Arts from the Fifteenth to the Early Twentieth Century is a highly anticipated exhibition that highlights student learning in the art history program. The curators, William Caterham ’20, Ashley Jeffords ’20, Merlyn Maldonado Lopez ’22, Sarah Paul ’22, James Raphaelson ’21, Megan Reimer ’22, Shannon Zeltmann ’21 and Tianrun Zhao ’20, are students enrolled in the Art History Method class in Fall 2019. The exhibition examines the quintessential characteristics and the meaning of Chinese decorative arts embedded in the luxurious surfaces of sixteen carefully selected works from Gettysburg College’s Asian Art Collection.

朱自清先生《詩言志辨》，認為“詩言志”之基本内涵是言説思想意志用以教化，强調其思想旨趣在於政教。這個學術影響巨大的認知，其實是對漢代詩學思想的整理和提煉,與“詩言志”之本義不完全相符。本文從先秦“詩言志”之實踐和闡説、詩人自道“詩言志”之内涵以及“詩言志”訓詁三個方面，重新梳理“詩言志”之本義，以為其不僅包含“表達思想意志”之義，也包含“抒發情感”和“紀事論理”之義。

In Shiyanzhibian, Zhu Ziqing believes that the essence of shiyanzhi is that the purpose of expressing thoughts and ideas is to emphasize the significance of official propaganda. This conviction, which has major academic influence, is actually an induction of the overall poetic thoughts of Han Dynasty, rather than aiming at the essence of shiyanzhi. This essay holds this argument from three aspects: the practice and interpretation of shiyanzhi of pre-Qin period, the illustrations of shiyanzhi of poets themselves, and exegetical studies (xungu) of shiyanzhi. 廣義的叙事覆蓋抒情，狭義的叙事與抒情並列，目前已有將抒情問題納入叙事學理論體系的努力。在叙事傳统之外提出抒情傳统，在西方或許没有多大必要，在中國則有助於穿透史官文化的影響，從詩學而非史學的角度去尋找文學傳统的真正源頭。叙事學不應是“無情”之學，叙事傳统研究也不應忽視自身文脈的個性，注意聆聽抒情與叙事兩大傳统的“交響共鳴”，或可避免從單一角度看問題的片面。

Narrative covers lyricism in the broad sense, while it is juxtaposed with lyricism in the narrow sense. In today’s scholarship, the efforts have been made to integrate issues related to lyricism into the theoretical system of narratology. It may not be necessary to put forward lyrical tradition beyond narrative tradition in the west, but in China it is important to pervade the culture of historiography and seek the real source of literary tradition from the poetic perspective. Narratology should not be a “heartless” science, and the study of narrative tradition should not ignore the distinguished features of its own …

同志文學的翻譯、再版與重譯 : 一個叙事建構的視角, Bo Li

同性戀一直以來都是敏感話題，甚至是社會禁忌；同志文學的境遇亦然。雖然近年西方翻譯研究學界愈來愈關注同志文學翻譯議題，相關研究在中文學界卻並未得到重視。同志文學的書寫和翻譯始終是在文化與意識形態纷繁衛突的語境下進行。本文探討同志文學的奠基之作的中文翻譯。英國作家E•M•福斯特 (E.M.Forster) 於1913年寫下的頗具自傳色彩的同名小説，按照作者意願直到1971年作者去世之後纔正式出版。原作中的很多同性戀互文性符號在建構作品主題上發揮了重要作用，而中文翻譯中，譯者通過腳注等方法，重新建構了主題的呈現。另外，出版商通過譯者的“譯後記”和其它副文本，對小説的同性戀主題進行了重新建構。通過分析Maurice的中譯，我們考察於21世紀初，當譯入文化對同性戀接受程度提高，小説原文中的互文性符號如何於譯文中得到“同志主題強化” (gayed translation) 的處理。同時，因應讀者和其他社會因素影響，當Maurice的中譯文再版時，譯者同出版商如何對譯作進行重新建構以做出回應。

This paper aims to study the Chinese translation of Maurice. Homosexuality has been a sensitive topic, a taboo in many social contexts. Translation Studies in the West witnesses increasing academic attention in the translation of gay literature in the past two decades, while it has remained largely neglected in the Chinese context. The writing and translation of gay literature has always been closely associated with conflicts, culturally and ideologically. Maurice, by British novelist E. M. Forster, is considered as the founding work for contemporary gay literature. Though it was finished in 1913, it had …
