The story we read in books about the Renaissance tells us that Petrarch and Poggio rediscovered the books of antiquity that had been copied for centuries in medieval abbeys. The re-introduction of Greek science and philosophy, however, began in the twelfth century but occurred mainly in the thirteenth century. These works were first translated into Syriac and Arabic in the eighth and ninth centuries and stored in the House of Wisdom in Baghdad. There they were read, used, and commented on by Arab philosophers, of whom the most famous was Averroes (1126–1198), who lived in Cordoba. The translation of his …

As we meditate these vocal repetitions, we undoubtedly perceive the degree of the depth of the harmony and consistency of the text's structural components, and consequently the impact of repetition and its endless effect on scaffolding the poem's structure. This study aims to identify the nature of the administrative and legal procedures that the British Mandate applied to the Palestinian Municipalities during the British Mandate in Palestine between 1917 - 1948, that has resulted in the establishment of the Zionist State of Israel on the greatest and major part of the Palestinian homeland. The study shows that the British administration restricted the power of the Palestinian Municipalities through issuing laws and regulations by the British governor. Racial disparities in breast cancer are well-documented, and Black women assume a disproportionate burden of breast cancer mortality. Black women also commonly use hair products containing endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) more often at an increased rate, as compared to other racial/ethnic groups. Emerging findings have reported the use of hair and other personal care products containing EDCs may contribute to breast cancer risk. While some sociocultural perspectives about hair and identity have been explored, the role of beauty expectations upheld by males has not been studied. Asking “is what is being demanded politically realistic?” or “politically possible?” is a persistent problem with the ways many liberals who imagine themselves as progressive still think about ending systemic racial discrimination, and about protests against racism. Such questions ask us to measure “the realistic” and “the possible” prior to making political demands, and presume that the efficacy of social protest movements correlates with a tacit agreement between activists and those in power about what politics should look like. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على أهم السمات العامة والمهنية والأخلاقية للشبكات الإخبارية الإلكترونية الأردنية فضلاً عن دراستها لمدى اعتبار تلك الشبكات مصدراً موثوقاً للمعلومات. استخدمت هذه الدراسة الوصفية المنهج المسحي، والاستبانة كأداة لجمع المعلومات على عينة متاحة من الصحفيين الأردنيين، بلغ عددها 245 مفردة. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن نسبة 14.7% من أفراد عينة الدراسة، يعدُّون الشبكات الإخبارية الإلكترونية الأردنية مصدراً موثوقاً للمعلومات بصورة دائمة، في حين يرى 72.7% أنها تعد "أحياناً" مصدراً موثوقاً للمعلومات، بينما يرى 10.6% منهم أنها ليست مصدراً موثوقاً للمعلومات. ويرى 56.3% من أفراد عينة الدراسة، أن الشبكات الإخبارية الأردنية تقدم "أحياناً" رؤية للأحداث تختلف …
