Performance of generative models (GMs), such as Large Language Models (LLMs), is highly dependent on the quality of the input prompt that is processed using the GM. However, manual prompt engineering is often inefficient and requires specialized expertise. This disclosure describes a method for the automated optimization of structured prompts through an iterative evaluation process. A structured prompt template is initially populated using task descriptions and reference data to generate candidate seed prompts. The present disclosure is related to a process for optimizing grinding operations that reduce the overall coefficient of friction and prevent cracking. It was found that changing the grinding direction to be perpendicular to the local sheet metal flow significantly reduces the coefficient of friction and helps prevent stamping cracks. For example, optimizing the grinding direction can help entrap lubricant, which has an observed effect on friction. In some critical areas, grinding along the feed direction can reduce wrinkling.

Actively venting high temperature deep-sea hydrothermal vent deposits along tectonic spreading centers and in backarc basins harbor a rich diversity of thermophilic Bacteria and Archaea, many of which have no representatives in cultivation nor any genomic representation in databases. Here, in order to produce a global-scale time series metagenomic resource for studying the microbial functional and genomic diversity in these high temperature ecosystems, we obtained 70 metagenomes from collections across spatial and temporal gradients from 21 different vent fields spanning 16 years (1993-2009). Non-state actors can look and operate like governments, yet without formal statehood, they exist in a regulatory gray area. Non state actors play an increasingly influential role in international law, yet they remain largely unregulated. This paper examines non-state actors as a class, with particular attention to non-State armed groups (NSAGs), and analyzes the regulatory gap they occupy specifically within international health law. The paper first surveys the rise, diversity, authority, and legitimacy of non-state actors in relation to States, highlighting their growing involvement in governance functions traditionally reserved for States. Background: Optimized vancomycin dosing is associated with improved clinical outcomes, especially decreased acute kidney injury. Free, online, grey literature training materials are available for vancomycin dosing; however, their utility is unclear. Objectives: This study evaluates the utility of these tools for just-in-time (e.g. refresher courses) training for general clinicians dosing vancomycin. Methods: A structured grey literature review of websites was performed, and the Online Course Quality Review (OSCQR) rubric was modified for this study. Although reported in children, acquired and acute-onset isolated unilateral palatal palsy is a clinically rare condition. It is typically caused by involvement of the pharyngeal branch of the vagus nerve, with presenting symptoms primarily including acute-onset hypernasal speech and ipsilateral nasal regurgitation of fluids. While the etiology is often considered idiopathic, several pathologies, such as infections, trauma, tumors, and brainstem lesions, must be excluded, as direct associations have been established in literatures. We report a case of a 13-year-old girl who developed acute-onset left sided isolated palatal palsy following mild rhinitis with non-conclusive neuroimaging and negative routine serology. Aging of the blood system impacts systemic health and can be traced to hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). Despite multiple reports on human HSC aging, a unified map detailing their molecular age-related changes is lacking. We developed a consensus map of gene expression in HSCs by integrating seven single-cell datasets. This map reveals previously unappreciated heterogeneity within the HSC population. It also links inflammatory pathway activation (TNF/NFκB, AP-1) and quiescence within a single gene expression program. This program dominates an inflammatory HSC subpopulation that increases with age, highlighting a potential target for further experimental studies and anti-aging interventions.

Fourier-transform spectrometers are widely used for spectral measurements. Changes in the field of view during measurement introduce oscillations into the measured spectra known as scene-change artifacts. Field-of-view changes also introduce uncertainty about which target the measured spectrum represents. Though scene-change artifacts are often present in dynamic data, their significance is disputed in the current literature. This work presents a theoretical framework and experimental validation for scene-change artifacts. Field-of-view changes introduce variable interferogram offsets, which standard processing techniques assume are constant. Diabetes is a developing global health concern that cannot be cured, necessitating frequent blood glucose monitoring and dietary management. Photoacoustic Spectroscopy (PAS) in the mid-infrared (MIR) region has recently emerged as a viable noninvasive blood glucose monitoring technique. However, MIR-PAS confronts significant challenges: (i) Water absorption, which reduces light penetration, and (ii) interference from other blood components. This paper systematically analyzes the background of photoacoustic signal generation and proposes a differential PAS (DPAS) in the MIR region for removing the background signals arising from water and other interfering components of blood, which improves the overall detection sensitivity.
