Diarrheal diseases caused by Salmonella sp. and Shigella sp. are among the most significant public health challenges worldwide, especially among children. To identify these bacteria, Salmonella-Shigella (SS) and Xylose Lysine Deoxycholate (XLD) agar media are used, which are selective and differential for Salmonella sp. and Shigella sp. Although these media share similar properties and functions for growing Salmonella sp. and Shigella sp., results from previous studies differ from those obtained in tests conducted by the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia. Abstract Small business owners often face challenges when implementing accounting information systems, resulting in inefficiencies and reduced competitiveness. The study was grounded in the technology acceptance model (TAM), which guided examination of how small business owners implemented, evaluated, and sustained accounting software use while addressing implementation challenges and leveraging internal and external support. Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of mortality worldwide, driven by complex, multi-scale mechanisms that span molecular, cellular, and organ-level dysfunction. Effective therapeutic strategies therefore require integrative approaches that link fundamental biology to translational applications. The 8th UC Davis CardioVascular Symposium gathered experts in ion channel biophysics, Ca2+ signaling, arrhythmia mechanisms, and cardiovascular physiology to discuss recent advances and define emerging priorities. Neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC) is a highly aggressive and lethal subtype of prostate cancer (PCa) that often emerges in response to androgen receptor pathway inhibitors (ARPIs), which are widely used in treating metastatic castration-resistant and hormone-sensitive prostate cancer. The incidence of NEPC is increasing, yet effective therapeutic strategies remain limited due to an incomplete understanding of its molecular drivers. Through transcriptomic analyses of human prostate tumor samples, we identified the histone lysine demethylase KDM4A as uniquely overexpressed in human and mouse NEPC compared to prostate adenocarcinoma. In this Essay, we explore the question of how to assess the independence of debtor’s counsel in Chapter 11. The question has arisen in recent high-profile bankruptcy cases, attracting renewed attention from commentators. We examine these cases and revisit the unique role that debtor’s counsel serves.

From this analysis, a few guiding principles emerge for determining independence and managing conflicts that may arise. First, consistent with the rules outside of bankruptcy, sophisticated parties are capable of waiving conflicts and should be free to do so when their interests alone are affected by the conflict. Each year, approximately 1.2 million students drop out of high school in the United States—about one every 26 seconds (National Center for Education Statistics, 2023). This trend calls for a reexamination of how we understand and support students labeled “at-risk.” Traditional deficit-based models focus narrowly on challenges, often overlooking how students actively build resilience to navigate adversity. Background: Invasive meningococcal disease (IMD) remains a life-threatening infection associated with high mortality and long-term morbidity. Effective vaccines are available but meningococcal vaccination in Saudi Arabia is not mandatory outside specific high-risk groups. Public knowledge, attitudes and behaviors (KAB) toward IMD and its vaccination play a pivotal role in disease prevention and vaccine uptake. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 382 residents of Saudi Arabia between July and August 2024 using a validated, Arabictranslated questionnaire distributed via social media. In an article published in Nature titled “ChatGPT listed as author in research papers” Stone-Walker (2023) shocks the academic community with the fact that GenAI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini have gained a substantive role in the production of knowledge and academic writing. He reports that one research company has published 80 articles produced by GenAI in academic journals.  In the wake of Stone-Walker’s article, many publishers and journal editors set guidelines in relations to the role of GenAI in academic writings. Twenty-year uninterrupted endeavor of titanium alloys printing has opened up a new paradigm in metal additive manufacturing (AM) to fabricate engineering components with required strength–density–corrosion combinations. Despite the remarkable advances in titanium AM, controlling the grain structure to print the parts with engineered microstructures, tailored mechanical properties, and minimum anomalies remains challenging. Numerous approaches have been implemented to address this challenge, such as printing parameter control, post-AM heat treatments, and thermomechanical processing. Organizations struggle with data quality problems that cost them millions of dollars annually. Manual data cleanup and standardizing, also known as reconciliation, can take skilled analysts days to complete and can still contain human errors. This dissertation addresses this challenge by developing and validating the Origin Data Management System, which automates processes that traditionally require days of manual work. The system achieved up to 100% accuracy in standardizing vendor names and identifying CEO information across real-world test datasets from Jefferson County Public Schools, Forbes, and Fortune Magazines. Processing time dropped from days to minutes—a 96-fold improvement over manual methods. These …

Medication non-adherence affects 49% of psychiatric patients and contributes to poor outcomes and increased hospitalizations. At the project site, 40% of patients demonstrated suboptimal adherence and 12 medication-related incidents occurred. Nursing staff lacked specialized training in motivational interviewing and comprehensive adherence assessment. This project developed and implemented an evidence-based educational program to enhance nursing competencies in psychiatric medication adherence counseling. Seven nursing staff members (5 registered nurses, 2 licensed practical nurses) participated in a 90-minute session incorporating the four-domain assessment framework, motivational interviewing techniques, and psychoeducational strategies. This article provides an overview of structural composition, performance advantages, research progress, ion conduction mechanism and existing issues of ISMs, primarily classifying them according to the matrix structure. This study examines the impact of ski tourism on Colorado’s retail marijuana (RMJ) sales, leveraging county-level sales data and ski resort characteristics. Using a two-way fixed effects model, we analyze seasonal variations in RMJ sales across counties with differing ski resort acreages. Our findings indicate that ski resort counties experience significant increases in RMJ sales during peak ski months (December–March), with the most prominent effects observed in counties with the largest ski resorts. The largest ski resort county– Summit County– sees an estimated seasonal increase of $4.35 million in RMJ sales. We estimate the isolated extra-state ski tourism effects and …

At the end of the interview, Boakye explains what he wants for Kwasi Paul in the future, both in the Bronx and in the fashion industry. For the Bronx, he wants it to represent Ghanaian fashion, something Ghanaians in the Bronx can be proud of. As a leader, Rahman plays many roles beyond leading prayers. He serves as a counselor, advisor, and guide, especially for immigrants and first-generation college students who may lack extended family support. He helps community members navigate not only education but also careers, marriage, and faith-based decisions through an Islamic lens. At Fordham University, he works to build a Muslim community through programs such as Ramadan events, spiritual counseling, mentorship initiatives, and multifaith dialogue.
