Chromolithography was used in the nineteenth century to create full-color and realistic images of the world. A Pageant of Spectacles: Chromolithography in Nineteenth-Century America, an exhibition at the Osher Map Library from November 30th, 2023 - June 29th, 2024, explained the printing process and explored some of its particular applications to maps and bird’s-eye views. This exhibition catalog features the companion article Mapping, Printing, and Color, which explores the history of different printing processes used in mapmaking throughout history, as well as a catalog of the items displayed in the exhibition.

Environmental impoverishment is a model of early life stress with direct consequences across a wide range of neurological and physiological conditions. Neuron morphology and density as well as anxiety disorders and addiction have shown to have significant relationships with environmental impoverishment models. Conversely, environmental enrichment confers therapeutic benefits that are protective across these conditions. There is an observed spectrum of resistance or vulnerability to the effects of housing conditions across populations, indicating genetics as an influential factor. Human gesture inference has broad applications ranging from sign language interpretation to device control. Traditional methods often rely on extensive manually labeled hand datasets for deep learning. Furthermore, they are typically limited to a discrete set of gestures existing in these datasets. Large Language Models (LLMs) created by enterprise companies such as OpenAI have demonstrated positive results in many artificial intelligence tasks, with a notable strength being their adaptability. Research has shown that attainment of higher education reduces the likelihood of recidivism, which is also known as reoffending (National Institute of Justice, n.d.). The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine educator perceptions of intervention strategies designed to reduce student dropout rates and improve student engagement in rural school settings. Rural schools often face unique challenges, including limited resources, geographic isolation, and socioeconomic factors that may contribute to student disengagement and increased dropout risk. This study sought to identify strategies educators perceive as effective in supporting at-risk students and promoting persistence toward graduation. This qualitative study explored educator perceptions of the impact of intracurricular and extracurricular activities on student academic achievement in a rural high school in Eastern North Carolina. Grounded in Bandura’s (1986) Social Cognitive Theory and Maslow’s (1962) Hierarchy of Needs, the study examined how structured school-based programs influence student motivation, engagement, and academic performance. Data were collected through three rounds of semi-structured interviews with purposive groups of core teachers, elective teachers/sponsors, and school administrators, followed by a culminating focus group to confirm emerging themes. The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore how district leaders respond to literacy gaps among kindergarten through fifth-grade students in a small, rural school district in Northwestern North Carolina. While previous research has focused specifically on classroom practices, less is known about the role of district leadership in shaping system-level approaches to literacy improvement. For over a decade, drone delivery has been heralded as the next frontier of commercial transportation and logistics. However, drone delivery companies have been unable to scale their operations. Part of the problem, from the perspective of the companies invested in drone delivery, were federal regulations that in effect prohibited drones from making deliveries. In 2025, following years of effort by industry and allies in Congress to create new rules governing drones, the second Trump Administration proposed a new set of drone regulations pursuant to the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024. This article examines the landscape of historical research in Thailand between 2013 and 2022 by analyzing academic articles, research projects, and theses that employ historical approaches. The study identifies three defining characteristics: a continued emphasis on Thai history, the increasing prominence of cultural history, and the significant influence of domestic contexts on research agendas. To explore ways of enhancing scholarly engagement, it conducts a comparative analysis of how leading international history journals frame research questions, engage with literature, and structure arguments. This study maps English‑language research outputs by Thai Library Science (LIS) faculties from 2018 to 2022 using a descriptive‐mapping approach. A dataset of 197 articles was gathered from Web of Science, Scopus, and the Thai Journal Citation Index. After data cleaning (removing non‑research items, duplicates, and normalizing affiliations), articles were coded as LIS or Information Science under the ALISE Taxonomy (2023) with 94% intercoder reliability. Three analytical dimensions were examined: (1) author and institutional productivity; (2) thematic emphases; and (3) dissemination channels.
