This article focuses on the process of professionalization of investigative journalists in Morocco, exploring the different educational pathways, access routes, and qualifications obtained by these professionals. Access to the journalism profession can be achieved through various avenues: professional schools, university disciplines, or learning on the job. In this article, we will try to work on the intercultural identity that characterizes the two main characters in the novel Eldorado by Laurent Gaudé, a contemporary French writer. In this polyphonic text, two narrative voices take turns to oppose two different points of view of the illegal immigration that has grown in the last decades. Gaudé cries out, through this novel, for human injustice and for the fate of immigrants who arm themselves with an armful of utopian dreams to reach El Dorado. Christian Garland teaches precariously at Queen Mary, University of London and has degrees in Philosophy and Politics from the University of East Anglia (UEA) and Social and Political Thought from the University of Sussex.
