Flow Of Quantum Genetic Lotka-Volterra Algebras On M2(ℂ), Sondos Muhammed Syam
Theses
In this thesis, a class of flow quantum Lotka-Volterra genetic algebras (FQLVG-A) is investigated and its structure is studied. Moreover, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the associativity and alternatively of FQGLV-A are derived. In addition, idempotent elements in FQGLV-A are found. Also, derivations of a class of FQLVG-A are described. Also, the automorphisms of a class of FQLVG-A and their positivity are examined.

Misrecognition And Historical Forgetting: The Case Of San Mateo, Rizal During Filipino-American War, 1899-1901, Herald Ian C. Guiwa
Journal Article
The present article is primarily study the attempts to explain how the events in San Mateo (then part of the Manila Province) during the early American colonial period (1899-1901) encouraged among its people the forgetting of the war against American aggression. Forgetting in the context of this research pertains to the act of letting go of the overt resistance and accepting the way colonial order under the American regime. Drawing from Reynaldo C. Ileto's study on the protected zone, this study reiterates the idea that the Americans immediately forged forgetting at the onset of their occupation in the town of …

Vicious And Virtuous Epistemic Egoism, Nicolo M. Masakayan
Vicious And Virtuous Epistemic Egoism, Nicolo M. Masakayan
Journal Article
Epistemic egoists are individuals who believe that there are no prima facie reasons why we should accept testimony. I need paper I examine the question "is epestemic egoism, an intellectual virtue?" I assert that a variant of epistemic egoism, called weak epistemic egoim, satisfies reliablist conditions for intellectual virtue. I also assert the extreme epistemic egoism, characterized as a blanket rejection of all testimony, is an intellectual vice. I also examine the possibility that extreme epistemic egoism is an intellectual virtue in rare situations. I argue that extreme epistemic egoism can be valuable, but not for strictly epistemic reasons.

Journal Article
The school-on-the-air (SOA) is a pioneering broadcast program developed by Radyo DZLB in the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines. Its history dates back to 1967 when the first SOA and dairy farming was launched. Over the years, SOAs were redesigned until a formal structure was arrived at. Radyo DZLB faced challenges that compelled SOA continuously find its rightful place in the airwaves. Now that it is off the air, how can Radyo DZLB sustain its advocacy of educating farmers, homemakers, and children, among others, through SOA? As the voice development, how can Radyo DZLB recover its lost …

Management Strategies For Improving Survival Of Piglets From Hyperprolific Sows, R.N. Kirkwood, P. Langendijk, J. Carr
The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine
In efforts to improve profitability, sows have been subject to ongoing selection for larger litters. The current dogma is that larger litters improve sow productivity. This review, however, will question the validity of this assumption. It is inescapable that very large litters will have longer farrowing durations, lower average and more variable birth weights, and the sows will have insufficient teats available to feed their piglets. This is a recipe for increased piglet mortality with associated ethical considerations. This review will examine methods employed to address these challenges posed by larger litters in order to improve piglet survival. Producers, however, …

The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine
The objective of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic performance of a basal serum thyroxine (T4) and thyrotropin (TSH) combination test for the diagnosis of canine hypothyroidism in clinical practice. It was hypothesized that the usefulness of basal T4 and TSH combination test in dogs with suspected non-thyroidal illness syndrome would be different with that in previous studies. The data of this study were searched for dogs who underwent both TSH stimulation test and basal serum T4 and TSH combination test. Forty-four cases were classified into either of three groups (hypothyroid, intermediate, or euthyroid) according to the results of …

The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine
Canine vector-borne diseases (CVBDs) are prevalent worldwide, including Thailand. Vectors can transmit more than one pathogen, and coinfections between blood parasites and/or filariae have been reported. Pathogenesis may affect the health status of infected dogs. Hematological, blood chemistry, and serum protein profile abnormalities can be used to screen for underlining causes of CVBDs. The aim of this study is to analyze the hematological and serum protein profiles as well as CRP in CVBD coinfection cases. In this study, 22 blood parasite coinfection cases are examined and classified into two groups: blood parasite coinfection (group 1: n = 16) and blood …

Activation-Induced Cell Death Of Nk Cells In Canine Atopic Dermatitis Revealed By Droplet-Sequencing Data Of Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells, Natthaporn Kuendee, Denis Puthier, Catherine Nguyen, Kaj Chokeshaiusaha
The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a mutual allergic skin disease between humans and dogs manifesting varieties of similarities in their immune responses to the disease. Recently, activation-induced cell death (AICD) of NK cells was acknowledged as a novel disrupted immunoregulation in human AD. To gain insight into its plausible commotion in canine AD, NK cell expression profiles extracted from PBMC Drop-Sequencing (Drop-Seq) data of normal and AD dogs were analyzed along with human NK cell profiles of healthy and AD patients previously reported. According to the results, a total of 2,689 differentially expressed genes (DEG) between healthy and AD conditions (P≤0.0001) …
