Temporal Dynamics Of Irrigation Characteristics In South Carolina, Selvalakshmi Selvaraj, Jose O. Payero, Dana B. Turner
Journal of South Carolina Water Resources
Irrigation plays a vital role in stabilizing crop production under climatic variability in the southeastern United States. However, limited long-term empirical evidence exists on how irrigation practices, water sources, and energy demands have evolved in South Carolina. The aim of this study was to examine temporal changes in irrigation characteristics in South Carolina. The analysis utilized two decades (2003–2023) of data from the United States Department of Agriculture – National Agricultural Statistics Service, Irrigation and Water Management Surveys. The rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education presents new opportunities for teachers to enhance creativity, efficiency, and student engagement. While much of the existing research focuses on secondary and postsecondary applications, AI use in elementary can integrate AI tools such as ChatGPT, MagicSchool.ai, Curipod, and Diffit into daily practice to support lesson planning, differentiation, and classroom community building. Guided by the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework and grounded in constructivist learning theory, this paper connects technology integration to pedagogical decision-making and reflective teaching.
