This disclosure presents a Tone-Induced Compliance Risk Detection framework designed to identify situations in which large language models exhibit elevated compliance behavior in response to politeness weighted or socially engineered prompts. While modern AI safety mechanisms primarily focus on explicit prompt injection and rule violations, emerging evidence suggests that subtle tone manipulation such as excessive politeness, deferential framing, gratitude signaling, and rapport-building language can measurably increase model willingness to provide borderline or policy-sensitive outputs. This phenomenon, referred to as the “Politeness Exploit,” represents a soft-signal attack surface that often operates below traditional guardrail thresholds. This disclosure presents a Human-AI Trust Misalignment Detection System designed to identify and mitigate conditions in which human operators develop excessive or unwarranted reliance on AI generated recommendations within decision workflows. As artificial intelligence systems become increasingly embedded in operational, analytical, and supervisory environments, a critical socio technical vulnerability emerges when human oversight weakens due to overconfidence in automated outputs. Traditional AI safety efforts have largely focused on model robustness, accuracy, and infrastructure security; however, comparatively little attention has been given to monitoring the human behavioral response to AI recommendations in real time. This disclosure introduces a Confidence–Reliability Divergence Detection framework designed to identify conditions in which artificial intelligence systems express high apparent certainty while underlying predictive reliability degrades. As modern AI models increasingly expose probability scores, verbal certainty cues, or calibrated confidence metrics, human operators and downstream systems frequently treat these signals as reliable proxies for correctness. However, real-world deployments demonstrate that model confidence can become systematically misaligned with true performance under conditions such as distribution shift, adversarial prompting, long-context reasoning saturation, data sparsity, or environmental volatility. This paper presents a method for capturing and recycling mechanical energy from interactions between permanent magnets and ferromagnetic components using a mechanical storage and redistribution system. The system achieves high efficiency through controlled motion, flywheel energy storage (or similar methods), and precise energy transfer mechanisms. While not generating energy from the magnets themselves, this approach allows nearly complete capture of the energy released during motion for practical work.

Bridges are considered one of the major infrastructure projects that pose many challenges for design and construction. This is because they require highly efficient structural systems that last for many years, require minimal maintenance, and provide a short construction period. Thin-walled steel circular hollow sections (CHS) with concrete infill have been widely investigated in previous research. The aim of this study is to investigate the behavior of axially loaded thin-walled CHS tubes filled with lightweight concrete, with the goal of achieving the lightest possible column weight while providing optimal axial capacity. Three concrete mixes incorporating Expanded Poly-Styrene (EPS) aggregates instead of conventional gravel were used. The dry densities of the mixes were 1000, 1100, and 1400 kg/m$^3$, and their compressive strengths were 3.8, 6.3, and 13 MPa, respectively. Human Bone Marrow-Mesenchymal Stem Cells Differentiation Into Brain-Like Endothelial Cells, Yomna Soliman, Güli̇n Baran, Nur Mustafaoğlu

Background/aim: Brain microvascular endothelial cells (BMECs), which constitute the blood–brain barrier (BBB), are essential for maintaining central nervous system homeostasis. Like BMECs, multipotent mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) originate from the mesodermal lineage. Thus, MSCs may serve as a direct and efficient cellular source for BMEC-like differentiation. Notably, differentiation of human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) into BMECs typically involves a 2-step protocol: inducing mesodermal commitment followed by endothelial specification. In contrast, direct differentiation from MSCs could bypass the initial mesodermal induction step, offering a streamlined alternative. A Capability Maturity Model For Artificial Intelligence Integration In Supply Chain Management, Lordt Becklines

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming Supply Chain Management (SCM), yet many organizations struggle to assess their readiness for AI adoption and to understand how AI capabilities develop across maturity stages. This dissertation addresses this gap by developing a Capability Maturity Model (CMM) for AI integration in SCM, grounded in Organizational Information Processing Theory (OIPT), the Resource-Based View, and related capability frameworks. The model provides a structured approach for evaluating an organization's information-processing requirements, resource configurations, and alignment needed for effective AI-enabled supply chain operations.

Community Engagement
For decades, the dominant paradigm in community engagement, education, and social work has relied heavily on the concept of "empowerment" to address the systemic gaps hindering marginalized populations. However, the etymological and practical applications of empowerment have increasingly devolved into a paternalistic, deficit-based model, implying a directional transfer of authority from a privileged institution to a subjugated community. As recent scholarship confirms, historically marginalized groups—such as first-generation and low-income students—continue to face persistent structural barriers despite decades of these traditional institutional interventions (López et al., 2023). Pharmacy Faculty Scholarship
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is the most lethal form of pancreatic cancer, with poor prognosis driven by late diagnosis, therapeutic resistance, and an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. Interactions between tumor cells and immune cells promote immune evasion and tumor progression, limiting the efficacy of immune checkpoint blockade and other immunotherapies. Given the high expression of trophoblast cell surface antigen 2 (TROP2) in PDAC, we developed a TROP2-targeted Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) agonist (E104) designed for selective accumulation within the tumor microenvironment to activate antitumor immunity.
