The purpose of this quantitative, nonexperimental descriptive study was to find the correlation between teacher empowerment (TE) when using the Özkan Hıdıroğlu and Tanrıöğen's (2020) TE Scale and culturally responsive education (CRE) from NYU’s Culturally Responsive Curriculum Scorecard. The one-time cross-sectional study examined the curriculum adoption practices of local education agencies (LEAs) within New York State public schools with Grades 3-5 after receiving instructional policies from the New York State Education Department (NYSED) and the United States Department of Education’s (USDOE) Every Student Succeeds Act.

Malware authors may frustrate analysts through obfuscation methods such as packing. The field of malware research on Windows is well-established but is less so on the macOS platform. Obesity is a serious medical condition resulting from excess body fat that triggers changes in both quantity and quality of various cells that reside in adipose tissue, including adipose stem cells. Adipose derived stem cells are multipotent, self-renewing cells that have the ability to differentiate. This process can be controlled by environmental stimuli, transcription factors, and signal cascades that lead to gene transcription and protein expression specific to the cell’s fate. Effects Of Breakfast Delivery Systems And School Poverty On School And Student Outcomes In Arkansas, Matthew Mellor

This study investigated the effects of the breakfast in the classroom model and school poverty on attendance, discipline referrals, and fourth-grade literacy scores. The sample was composed of data from Arkansas elementary schools. Overall, the three hypotheses had no significant interaction effect. The main effect of the breakfast delivery system was not significant for discipline referrals and fourth-grade reading but was significant for school attendance. However, the practical significance was negligible. In contrast, school-wide poverty level significantly affected the percentage of scores for fourth-grade literacy in the Ready and Exceeding categories as measured by the ACT Aspire Summative Literacy Assessment …

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that there are around 1.7 million beds in certified nursing homes across the United States and approximately 1.3 million residents in long-term and end-of-life care. There could be several factors causing a delayed recovery in such patients, such as decreased ambulation, multiple comorbidities, and polypharmacy. An 83-year-old Caucasian woman sustained a fall resulting in compression fractures of the thoracic and lumbar spine. She had multiple comorbidities, including anemia of chronic disease, malnutrition, and a significant weight loss of 30 lbs over the four months prior to hospitalization. One strategy that has been shown to promote long-term retention is spaced retrieval practice. In this study, we used standard and dropout procedures of spaced retrieval training to examine whether they produce superior retention and transfer relative to repeated restudy in novel vocabulary learning. Across three sessions spaced two days apart, participants learned 30 Swahili words with their English definitions via spaced testing or by restudying. Definitions were the same (fixed) across days in Experiment 1 and different each day (variable) in Experiment 2. We introduce a new quantized enveloping superalgebra $\mathfrak{U}_q\mathfrak{p}_n$ attached to the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{p}_n$ of type P. The superalgebra $\mathfrak{U}_q\mathfrak{p}_n$ is a quantization of a Lie bisuperalgebra structure on $\mathfrak{p}_n$ and we study some of its basic properties. We determine representations of the superalgebra $\mathfrak{U}_q\mathfrak{p}_n$ and derive its Drinfeld-Jimbo relations. We prove the triangular decomposition of $\mathfrak{U}_q\mathfrak{p}_n$ and introduce some preliminary results concerning the highest weight representation of $\mathfrak{U}_q\mathfrak{p}_n$. We also introduce the periplectic q-Brauer algebra and prove that it is the centralizer of the $\mathfrak{U}_q\mathfrak{p}_n$-module structure on $\mathbb{C}(n|n)^{\otimes \ell}$. Much of this support is borne out of Information Technology (IT) initiatives that would turn into projects.
