This staff education project focuses on improving depression detection in a primary care settings using Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) screening tool. Depression is a leading cause of disability worldwide, requiring reliable and adaptable screening tools. The diagnosis of depression is one of the most common mental health disorders in primary care but is poorly identified and frequently missed. The lack of consistent screening for depression among patients often results in delayed identification of symptoms, which postpones early treatment, increasing the risk of complications associated with untreated depression. For many educators of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, a persistent dissonance exists between the secular textbooks we utilize and the restored truths we cherish. Traditional science often presents the universe as a closed, material system where learning is merely the acquisition of data. However, as we align our academic pursuits with the light of the Restored Gospel, we discover that scientific inquiry is not independent of spiritual growth. Rather, it is a primary mechanism through which we experience a fundamental shift in our very nature—moving from "knowing" to "becoming."

PURPOSE: The purpose of the study was to evaluate factors influencing outpatient follow-up adherence among patients receiving ophthalmology consultations in the emergency department (ED).

MATERIALS AND METHODS: This retrospective cohort study collected data from the Chang Gung Research Database. Patients who received ophthalmology consultations at the ED of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Linkou Medical Center from January 1, 2010, to December 31, 2019, were included. Greater adherence to plant-based diets is associated with health benefits. Dietary intake can modify DNA methylation patterns, but it is unknown whether plant-based diets in a largely non-vegetarian population are associated with DNA methylation-based epigenetic aging measures. We examined the associations between 4 different types of plant-based diets indices (PDI) [overall PDI, provegetarian diet, healthy PDI, and unhealthy PDI] and epigenetic aging. We used data from the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) Study (N=2,810) and National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES, N=2,056). Exploring The Connection Between Cultural Humility And The Hexaco 60 Pi-R Among Licensed Professional Counselors In The United States, Debbie Franzen Franzen-Lang

Cultural humility is essential to effective counseling across diverse populations, yet its dispositional foundations remain unclear, limiting the development of evidence based, personality informed training strategies in counselor education. Grounded in Foronda’s Cultural Humility theory, this quantitative, nonexperimental study examined the relationship between personality traits and cultural humility among licensed professional counselors in the United States. The participants included 125 licensed professional counselors who completed the HEXACO PI R 60-item inventory and Foronda’s Cultural Humility Scale. The results of a multiple linear regression were statistically significant for the overall model, F(6,118) = 6.165, p < .001, R² = .239, accounting for 23.9% of the variance in cultural humility. Openness to experience was a significantly negative predictor (B = –.519, p < .001), indicating that higher openness scores were associated with lower cultural humility; honesty-humility was not statistically significant (p = .052), and the remaining traits also were not significant predictors. These findings complicate assumptions about the dispositional roots of cultural humility and suggest potential implications for counselor education, including experiential learning, reflective supervision, and skills-based training that may support cultural humility development. The results suggest that personality traits may play a role in cultural humility and may have implications for integrating personality-related insights into multicultural frameworks, conceptualizing humility as a dynamic construct influenced by both traits and context.

This work aims at synthesizing chalcone derivatives using Acetophenone and benzaldehyde derivatives as the primary components. The chalcone compounds [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] have been produced through Claisen-Schmidt condensation reaction, which involves combining benzaldehyde derivatives (such as 4-bromobenzaldehyde, 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde, 4-(dimethyl amino)benzaldehyde, and o-Nitro benzaldehyde) with acetophenone or its derivatives. This reaction takes place when an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide and ethanol are combined at room temperature. This study aims to examine the blood levels of some biochemical markers in rheumatoid arthritis patients with and without depression compared to healthy group. Levering cutting-edge high-performance liquid chromatography techniques with a C-18 column, we meticulously crafted a gradient of MeOH and glacial CH₃COOH (96–5%), pulsating through at a mesmerizing 1.2 ml/min. With ultraviolet detection at a precise wavelength of 245 nm, we unraveled the mysteries of these vital nutrients. Thiamine reveals itself at a retention time of 3.5 min, followed by Riboflavin at 8.1 min and Niacin at 10.8 min. The findings of this study were not just a spectacle of scientific powers but were also rigorously benchmarked against commercial drugs, ensuring accuracy and reliability in our analysis.

Twenty-two samples were collected from cases suspected of amoebic keratitis in Kirkuk Hospital to investigate the presence of Acanthamoeba . Cultivation process was carried out directly on non-nutrient agar (NNA) medium supported with killed Escherichia coli bacteria. Informal caregivers for individuals with Alzheimer’s and related dementias (ADRD) experience increased time demands and poorer well-being, especially when caregiving is combined with paid employment. Subjective feelings of high time pressure, which include feeling rushed and short on time, relate to poorer self-reported measures of mental health more than objective task load.
