Improved Time-Related Checking In Routing Solvers, Steven Gay

To solve routing problems with given constraints, an initial routing solution is obtained in a construction phase and iteratively improved in a subsequent improvement phase. With O(1) time complexity to check for constraint satisfaction per change with p being the total length of all paths changed between a known solution and a new candidate solution, current approaches have O(p²) time and space complexity when replacing the current solution with a new one. The data quality of open-ended answers gathered via online surveys can be low because of a large proportion of blank, short, or ambiguous responses. However, online surveys do not provide an opportunity to resolve ambiguities or seek elaboration by prompting respondents for additional information. While conversational surveys can overcome this limitation, they are generally not suitable for close-ended questions. This disclosure describes techniques to augment open-ended questions within traditional online surveys by embedding conversational capabilities enabled via an AI agent or chatbot that can be based on a large language model. The purpose of this paper is to investigate information privacy and security awareness among online social media (OSM) users in the Ibadan metropolis, Nigeria. Building upon the social exchange theory, some factors that could influence the disclosure of private information on social media were identified. Findings from the analysis of data of 255 respondents revealed that most were aware of information privacy and security measures available on OSM, and the risks associated with the disclosure of private information on OSM. Using de-identified reports from the Statewide Planning and Research Cooperative System (SPARCS) data, this descriptive study will identify the impact of socioeconomic status (SES) metrics on the follow-up prostate cancer screening care within 3 years of index prostate cancer screening test in NYS. The socioeconomic status metrics will be subclassified into race, insurance, and ethnicity and each of these sub-components will be evaluated for its impact on the follow-up cancer screening care. Due to advances in microscopic imaging, there are a plethora of biological molecules that can now be tagged and subsequentially imaged from almost any cell, organism, or tissue. However, the ability of software to analyze these images remains to be a challenge. ImageJ is open source software that allows for the processing of these images, but faces challenges when dealing with images that show weak contrast between objects of interest and background. DeutJ is an ImageJ plugin that color corrects and brightness corrects gradients that inhibit segmentation in confocal microscopy images. It can analyze hundreds of images from a given …

Political legitimacy-building and tourism studies help to explain how and why China’s governing regime advanced Red Tourism to justify and reinforce its governance and legitimacy. A historical analysis of multilevel Chinese sources shows that the expressivity and value-ladenness that characterize visits to select historical sites permit governing regimes to softly augment their political legitimacy via political identity formation, political meaning framing, and nationalistic mobilization.

This paper revisits the proposal for the classification of meditation methods which we introduced in our initial 2013 publication, “Toward a Universal Taxonomy and Definition of Meditation”. At that time, we advanced the thesis that meditation methods could be effectively segregated into three orthogonal categories by integrating the taxonomic principle of functional essentialism and the paradigm of Affect and Cognition; and we presented relevant research findings which supported that assertion. The typical collegiate introductory statistics course poses significant challenges for students. Many do not fully comprehend key course skills, and it is common for students to exit the class with a neutral or negative attitude toward statistics.
