Background: Internet addiction has emerged as a contemporary issue. Medical students in particular are at higher risk to internet addiction due to high academic pressures. Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted among medical students at Al-Kindy College of Medicine during the academic year 2024–2025. A total of 200 students completed the 10- item modified Internet Addiction Diagnostic Questionnaire survey which was disseminated through the official university platform. The closure, or preferred ending, of this story of a pilgrim’s clothes, would be a ceremonious disposal, like burning them. Pilgrims are reluctant to simply throw their clothes, boots, and gear away. Monastic botanical gardens serve as living proof of the relationship between humans, nature, healing, and spirituality. The purpose of this article is to present a methodological extension to video-cued ethnography, a qualitative approach that combines ethnography with a stimulus video to conduct focus groups, and share methodological insights drawn from our experience. In this extension, we center the knowledge of Latine immigrant parents and create dialogic opportunities between parents and teachers. We illustrate how the extension works by presenting a study that explores if and how this dialogical experience shapes bilingual/ESL teachers’ ideas and attitudes towards parents as educational partners. The purpose of this qualitative pragmatic inquiry was to explore how dynamic capabilities influence competitiveness and performance in U.S. telecommunications firms. Grounded in the dynamic capabilities view (DCV), the study addressed the overarching research question of how dynamic capabilities influence competitiveness and performance in telecommunications firms in the United States. This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project evaluated the impact of optimizing the charge nurse role on workflow efficiency and communication within a Community Living Center. Identified practice gaps included role ambiguity, inconsistent delegation, and communication breakdowns, which contributed to delays in care and decreased staff satisfaction. An evidence-based approach was used to standardize charge nurse responsibilities, strengthen leadership practices, and introduce structured communication processes. The project demonstrated that improving role clarity and leadership consistency supports more effective delegation, enhances team communication, and improves care coordination. Mental health disparities among African immigrant populations are often influenced by cultural stigma, limited mental health literacy, and providers’ insufficient understanding of culturally specific beliefs and help-seeking behaviors. In outpatient psychiatric settings, these gaps can negatively affect engagement, diagnosis, and treatment outcomes. The purpose of this quality improvement project was to evaluate whether a structured staff education program could improve provider knowledge of culturally responsive care for African immigrant patients. This evidence-based quality improvement (EBQI) project addresses the 36% telehealth no-show rate at an outpatient behavioral health clinic in Maryland. High attrition rates currently compromise continuity of care and result in a projected annual revenue loss of $124,000. The present project proposed a standardized workflow redesign in the current Integrated Care Approach (ICA) notes Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to address the manual outreach inconsistency. Significant interventions involved the activation of automated multimodal reminders at 72-hour, 24-hour, and 1-hour intervals, and the obligatory 24-hour technical pre-verification connection. This quantitative study examined the association between racial discrimination and pregnancy-related hypertension among women age 18–40 in the United States, and how this relationship is modified by age and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regions (states). Guided by the social ecological model, this research measured whether race, place, and lived experiences of discrimination contributed to disparities in maternal health outcomes. The study utilized the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System data set (2016–2022) which represented 81% of United States live births (n=249,970). Exposure to violence significantly influences adolescent delinquency, posing a critical public health concern. We examine the moderating role of expectations about the future in this context, particularly whether their impact differs between minor and severe delinquency. Analyzing data from the fifth wave of the National Survey of Child and Adolescent Well-Being (n=1,272), we employed hierarchical linear regression and the PROCESS macro. Our findings reveal that exposure to violence is positively associated with delinquency; meanwhile, expectations about the future are negatively associated with adolescent delinquency. Positive expectations about the future significantly mitigate the impact of exposure to violence on adolescent delinquency …

BACKGROUND: Parents of young children with type 1 diabetes (T1D) are vulnerable to experiencing fear of hypoglycemia (FH), an emotional condition that includes persistent and intense worry about hypoglycemia and/or use of unhealthful behaviors to avoid hypoglycemia. Despite greater uptake of continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and automated insulin delivery systems, FH remains prevalent and under-addressed in parents of young children. This paper presents a comprehensive optimization study of hydrogen production systems through alkaline water electrolysis powered by photovoltaic energy sources, with a specific focus on Central Asian applications. The research systematically investigates critical operating parameters including KOH electrolyte concentration (25-30 wt%), temperature effects (25-80°C), current density optimization (100-500 mA/cm²), and electrode material performance using cost-effective 316L stainless steel. Experimental results demonstrate that optimized systems achieve solar-to-hydrogen efficiency of 13-15%, with hydrogen production costs ranging from $2-8/kg depending on system scale. This paper examines the development of regularized algorithms for synthesizing control devices in control systems for polynomial objects, described by multidimensional Volterra functional series. The synthesis problem is solved using a two-stage procedure. In the first stage, the optimization problem is initially solved for an open-loop system. The second stage involves determining the parameters of the control device, i.e., its impulse response functions, by using the relationship between the characteristics of the open-loop and closed-loop systems.
