Linking Sport Simulation Games To Real-World Sport Consumption: The Role Of Passion And Sport Enjoyment, Jeeyoon Kim

This study examines the potential of utilizing sport simulation games in promoting real-world sport consumption. Drawing on diversification theory, we examine whether psychological experiences (arousal, belonging, achievement) in simulated sport play leads to sport enjoyment and subsequently increases sport consumption intentions (participating, spectating, media viewing); passion-type (harmonious vs. obsessive) is set as a boundary condition based on the dualistic model of passion. Using online survey data from 431 US/Canadian adults who regularly play sport simulation games, multi-group SEM was conducted. Recent changes in intercollegiate athletics have significantly impacted the economics of college football. Heightened competition and increased operational costs have necessitated greater revenue generation through ticket sales, as ticket sales contribute a significant amount of revenue to college athletic department’s budgets. Therefore, this study utilizes self-determination theory to investigate factors influencing football season ticket holders’ intentions to renew. The United States 911 emergency response system is an interconnected web of public services that seeks to provide its community with care, resources, and safety in times of need. However, the impact of this support on the employees providing the service often goes unnoticed. This review identifies and analyzes the unique strains on first responders' physical and mental health using the Job Demand-Control Model and the Allostatic Load Model. A review of available research literature supports the conclusion that occupational-related stress, including trauma exposure, shift work, poor leadership, and inadequate communication, can have long-lasting negative impacts on provider health.

This study examines the duality of presence and absence in Al-Mutanabbi’s poetry as a central framework for understanding his poetic, philosophical, and existential vision. The research aims to explore how these opposing yet interconnected concepts shape the poet’s perception of self, authority, and human existence. This study employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach by analyzing selected poems through thematic interpretation, stylistic analysis, and semiotic reading. The analysis focuses on figurative language, rhetorical structures, symbolism, irony, and contrast as poetic strategies used to construct meaning. Contemporary visual art is not only understood as an aesthetic object but also as a medium for social reflection and critique. This article analyzes Angry Mum (2024), a painting by Fadjar Djunaedi, using Feldman’s art criticism approach, which consists of four stages: description, formal analysis, interpretation, and evaluation. This study employs a qualitative method through visual observation of the artwork, interviews with the artist, and a literature review. The Single Story In Translation: Domestication As A Tool Of Colonial And Neocolonial Hegemony, Younes Aich

This study examines how translation has been used to sustain colonial and neocolonial hegemony by producing reductive representations of the East. Drawing on Adichie’s notion of the “single story” and postcolonial translation theory, it argues that domestication may function as a hegemonic strategy when foreign texts are adjusted to the expectations, values, and stereotypes of the dominant target culture. Such practice constructs the West as the universal model of progress while positioning Eastern cultures as inferior, exotic, or dependent. This capstone project investigates how mid-level employees perceive leadership management styles and how these approaches shape the nonprofit work environment. Employees in nonprofit organizations are often passionate about the mission. Good leaders use that passion to foster engagement and satisfaction. Toxic leadership, however, leaves employees less passionate and motivated. Existing literature suggests that this passion may be taken advantage of, leading to increased stress, burnout, and lowering workplace morale.
