Court granted respondent's motion to dismiss no-grounds/non-renewal of tenancy holdover, holding that the failure to attach the Good Cause Eviction Law Notice required by RPL § 231-c to the predicate 90-day notice of termination served under RPL § 226-c was a fatal, non-amendable defect requiring dismissal. Court sharply admonished and cautioned landlord's counsel for repeatedly refusing to withdraw the defective proceeding despite demonstrating an inadequate grasp of basic GCEL principles, directing counsel to disclose the decision if accused of professional misconduct.

Development And Effectiveness Of Spatial Learning Module To Enhance The Students’ Spatial Reasoning, Mathematics Problem-Solving, And Higher-Order Thinking Skills, Rizky Oktaviana Eko Putri
Student Works (2020-2029)
The primary aim of this study is to develop a mathematics learning module that utilizes spatial reasoning as an intervention for learning, which is called the Spatial Learning- Integrated Mathematics (SLIM) learning module. The SLIM learning module is expected not only to enhance the quality of mathematics education but also to support students’ spatial reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). This objective is based on the understanding that teachers, as learning designers, must ensure students achieve their educational goals. Teachers should offer various forms of innovative teaching, including learning modules, enabling students not only to reach their learning …

School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences
At the transition between the third and the fourth millennium BC, there is evidence for a population decline concurrent with the end of megalith building across continental northwestern Europe. In Scandinavia this ‘Neolithic decline’ is followed by a massive population turnover, as farming communities disappeared and were replaced by people with steppe ancestry. In western Europe, however, ancestry associated with Neolithic farmers persisted beyond the Neolithic decline, and it remains unclear whether a similar demographic replacement occurred. To investigate the population dynamics around the Neolithic decline in present-day France, we sequenced 132 ancient genomes from the allée sépulcrale at Bury. …

Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office regarding the presence of misnamed phrases and the accuracy of several references cited in this paper [1]. In accordance with the journal’s standard procedures, the Editorial Office and Editorial Board conducted an investigation that confirmed the presence of a misnamed phrase for ROSE model and significant number of non-existent references, which were determined to undermine the overall reliability of this study. In addition, the investigation identified indications of generative AI use …
Gender-Based Violence And Botswana's Constitutional Failure To Protect Women's Rights, Cameron Mcdonald
Gender-Based Violence And Botswana's Constitutional Failure To Protect Women's Rights, Cameron Mcdonald
Immigration and Human Rights Law Review
Gender-based violence (“GBV”) remains a pervasive human rights issue throughout Botswana. When it comes to gender equality, Botswana’s dual constitutional and customary legal system is a paradox. Despite its commitment to equality and nondiscrimination, Botswana’s Constitution allows customary courts to discriminate freely to preserve traditional practices that disadvantage women. These traditional practices affect women’s right to property, inheritance, marriage, legal representation, and personal safety. Customary law continues to constrain women’s right to economic autonomy and access to justice, leaving many women dependent on the men who abuse them. As a result, many Batswana women experience structural discrimination in both their …
The International And Comparative Aspects Of United States V. Skrmetti: The Detrimental Rise Of Anti-Trans Sentiment In The United States, Julia Parrey
Immigration and Human Rights Law Review
In recent years, anti-trans sentiment has significantly increased in the United States. This Article examines the legal advocacy by the LGBTQ+ community that laid key legal groundwork for basic protections through landmark US Supreme Court decisions like Lawrence v. Texas and Obergefell v. Hodges and analyzes how recent judicial and legislative actions signal a dangerous reversal of that progress.
The central analysis focuses on the consequences of United States v. Skrmetti, where the Supreme Court upheld Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming care for minors by applying rational-basis review, concluding that the law classified based on age or medical diagnosis, rather …

Silencing Liberty: Why Curtailing Noncitizens' Speech Is Un-American, Erin Gray
Immigration and Human Rights Law Review
Since the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel thousands of students across the world protested Israel’s involvement in the war on Gaza. Many of these protests occurred at American universities. When President Trump returned to the White House in 2025, he publicly threatened to and deport noncitizen students who participated in these protests. Following through with his promise, President Trump revoked multiple students’ visas after they participated in some form of Pro-Palestine advocacy. This Article explores whether President Trump’s actions are constitutional under the First Amendment. Ultimately, this Article concludes that President Trump violated the First Amendment by targeting noncitizen …
The Myth Of The Immigrant As A Criminal: Rhetoric, Otherness, And The Legal Construction Of Danger, Katerina Fernandez
The Myth Of The Immigrant As A Criminal: Rhetoric, Otherness, And The Legal Construction Of Danger, Katerina Fernandez
Immigration and Human Rights Law Review
The figure of the “criminal immigrant” occupies a central place in contemporary U.S. immigration discourse, shaping public perception, enforcement priorities, and legal doctrine. Yet a substantial body of empirical research consistently demonstrates that immigrants—both documented and undocumented—commit crimes at lower rates than native-born citizens. This Note examines why the narrative of immigrant criminality persists despite this evidence and how it influences the development and operation of immigration law. It argues that “immigrant” functions not only as a legal category but also as a socially constructed marker of Otherness, encompassing perceived differences in race, language, culture, and religion. Through this lens, …
The Expanding Digital Border: Ai, Surveillance, And The Fight For Justice, James Chesser
The Expanding Digital Border: Ai, Surveillance, And The Fight For Justice, James Chesser
Immigration and Human Rights Law Review
As artificial intelligence transforms the mechanisms of immigration control, the modern border has become a digital filter—one governed less by geography and more by code. This Article examines the legal, technical, and ethical implications of AI-driven systems now central to global border enforcement, including biometric surveillance, algorithmic risk scoring, and predictive profiling. It explores how states use these technologies not only to manage irregular migration, but to compete for global talent—constructing migration regimes that reward capital and compliance while eroding transparency, due process, and equality.
Through an international and comparative lens, the piece highlights the expansion of algorithmic decision-making across …

The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly: Pentecostal Leaders' Attitudes Towards Pentecostalism., Franklin A. Markow
Spiritus: ORU Journal of Theology
This article reveals the often self-disparaging perceptions Pentecostal leaders have of the movement and the psycho-social strategies they use to position themselves within it. Qualitative and quantitative research conducted among seasoned Pentecostal leaders and renewal-oriented seminary students reveals how these leaders both identify with and distance themselves from Pentecostal identity.
Remembering The Past: The Origins Of The Pentecostal Church In South Travancore, Viju Wilson
Remembering The Past: The Origins Of The Pentecostal Church In South Travancore, Viju Wilson
Spiritus: ORU Journal of Theology
Early Pentecostals in the Thiruvananthapuram district (South Travancore) of Kerala state, India, embraced the Pentecostal faith in a context where traditional denominations held enormous power, resources, and social recognition. C. Manasseh played a significant role in spreading the Pentecostal faith and establishing the first congregation in the region. This forms an important part of the global Pentecostal heritage. Remembering the life and ministry of Manasseh, as well as the past and present journey of the first congregation, carries significant implications for the witness of Pentecostals today. Remembering the past is both a biblical and theological act, calling believers to participate …
The Modern Shift In The Roman Catholic Understanding Of Speaking In Tongues, John Gresham
The Modern Shift In The Roman Catholic Understanding Of Speaking In Tongues, John Gresham
Spiritus: ORU Journal of Theology
Over the course of the twentieth century, the Roman Catholic understanding of speaking in tongues shifted from viewing the gift as always and exclusively xenolalia (infused knowledge of foreign languages) to a view of tongues as primarily glossolalia (inspired praise not in any known human language). This theological shift is reflected in standard Catholic reference works and in the ordinary teachings of the Catholic magisterium. This shift was a result of Catholic acceptance of historical-critical study of Scripture, a new understanding of charisms, ecumenical openness to the gifts of other Christian traditions, and most significantly, the rise of the Charismatic …
A Globally Informed Theological Method For Locally Lived Pentecostal Theology: Worship, Witness, And Work, Kenneth J. Archer
A Globally Informed Theological Method For Locally Lived Pentecostal Theology: Worship, Witness, And Work, Kenneth J. Archer
Spiritus: ORU Journal of Theology
This article advocates for a globally informed yet locally experienced “Pentecostal theology” rooted in a specific theological approach. This Pentecostal approach shapes and re/shapes lived theology. Lived spirituality-theology is relational, emphasizing proper worship of the living God (orthodoxy), effective witness (orthomartus), and productive work (orthoergon). This represents a lived theology that is both personal and communal. All of this is expressed through labor (orthoergon) and witness (orthomartus), which form our “missional work” with the Lord God for the betterment of all creation. It proposes a method focused on worship, witness, and work, which are organically connected to the spirituality of …

Exploring Scms And Fibers For Structural Build-Up In 3d Printing Using Penetration Test, Shiva Kumar Goud Kasani
Exploring Scms And Fibers For Structural Build-Up In 3d Printing Using Penetration Test, Shiva Kumar Goud Kasani
Miners Solving for Tomorrow Research Conference
Additive manufacturing with cementitious materials advances rapidly, but predicting structural build-up is critical for 3D printed structure buildability. Various supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) and fibers are commonly used to enhance structural build-up in 3D printing. Evaluating their effects is necessary for successful printing. In this research, this effect is studied for common SCMs, including fly ash and silica fume, and fibers including polypropylene (0.375% and 0.75% by volume), steel (0.75% and 1.5% by volume), and hemp fibers (0.375% and 0.75% by volume). The Structural build-up was quantified through continuous static yield stress measurements (via vane rheometer, penetration, and slump) during …
Synthesis And Hydrothermal Evaluation Of Poly(Styrene Phosphonate) For Conformance Control In Geothermal Reservoirs, Sara Mccauley
Synthesis And Hydrothermal Evaluation Of Poly(Styrene Phosphonate) For Conformance Control In Geothermal Reservoirs, Sara Mccauley
Miners Solving for Tomorrow Research Conference
As atmospheric carbon dioxide levels continue to rise, geothermal energy has emerged as a promising energy alternative to fossil fuels. A barrier to widespread implementation and energy production efficiency is macro-heterogeneity of the rock matrix. Cracks, void spaces, and flow conduits divert fluid flow away from unswept portions of the geothermal reservoir and can cause cooling of the reservoir. Flow heterogeneity has been treated in oil reservoirs by injecting hydrogel particles that travel preferentially to ultra-high permeability zones and selectively block fluid flow in these regions. We are applying polymer hydrogels that withstand hydrothermal conditions of 225 up to 275°C …
Adaptive Parallel Downloader For Large Genomic Datasets, Rasman Mubtasim Swargo
Adaptive Parallel Downloader For Large Genomic Datasets, Rasman Mubtasim Swargo
Miners Solving for Tomorrow Research Conference
Modern next-generation sequencing (NGS) projects routinely generate terabytes of data that researchers download from public repositories such as SRA and ENA. Existing download tools typically employ static concurrency settings, leading to inefficient bandwidth utilization and prolonged download times under dynamic network conditions. We introduce FastBioDL, a parallel downloader for large biological datasets with an adaptive concurrency controller. FastBioDL frames downloading as an online optimization problem, using a utility function and gradient descent to adjust the number of concurrent socket streams during runtime. This approach maximizes throughput while minimizing resource overhead. Evaluations on public genomic datasets show that FastBioDL achieves up …
