Polarization in the political sphere, seen through combative communication and stalemate, may impose negative social impacts on the population. Attempting to measure political polarization in the masses through self-reported surveys and interviews can present response biases of social desirability. The classification of thought freely written online allows political polarization to be measured in an impartial manner. Reddit is one application that enables users to share opinions and create discussions anonymously; this text can be used to measure the political climate at any given time. The University of Mary Washington is a liberal arts institution founded in 1908 as a normal and industrial school for women (Our History - About UMW, 2015). Because of its small size, Mary Washington was historically known as Virginia’s “undiscovered gem” (Boyer, 2011). Mary Washington is described as a place built to support the “innovative, passionate, intellectual, and genuine” (Boyer, 2011). The purpose of this project is to understand how the progressive nature of Parkinson’s Disease affects the occupational performance of affected individuals, as well as review resources and survey participants to identify possible gap areas in services provided by Rock Steady Boxing. Recommendations based on survey responses and relevant research will be compiled and provided to Rock Steady Boxing in order to enhance the occupational well-being of those affected by Parkinson’s Disease.

This doctoral capstone project included creation of 20 conservative and post-surgical occupation-based and occupational therapy focused treatment protocols covering diagnoses affecting the upper extremities as well as a comprehensive protocol manual accompanied by a guide for use. Patients with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 have germline mutations in the neurofibromin gene (NF1) and are prone to develop tumors in the nervous system and elsewhere throughout their lifespan. Loss-of-function mutations of the remaining functional copy of the NF1 tumor suppressor gene in the Schwann cell lineage results in development of benign tumors known as dermal and plexiform neurofibromas. Mutations in additional tumor suppressor genes, like p53 and CDKN2A, subsequently transforms plexiform neurofibromas into highly aggressive malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (MPNSTs). At present, no effective treatments are available for MPNSTs, in fact some approaches make these tumors more aggressive. Since …

The study investigated the need for career guidance in the Almajiri school system as perceived by teachers in Kebbi State, Nigeria. The population consisted of all teachers within the state. The researchers purposively selected six large schools in Brinin Kebbi which is the state capital, and another six large secondary schools in Argungu. Fifty teachers were picked in each of the schools using simple random sampling technique. Thus, a total of six hundred respondents partook in this study. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan respons siswa dalam aktivitas pembelajaran, permasalahan, dan faktor penyebab permasalahan terhadap proses pembelajaran daring menggunakan aplikasi Zoom Cloud Meeting. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah 29 siswa menengah atas bahasa Jerman di SMA Laboratorium UM yang berada pada tingkatan kebahasaan setara A1 GER. Data diperoleh dari observasi, kuesioner tertutup dan wawancara, dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Within the Gulf of Mexico, forage fish species serve as an important link between lower trophic levels and higher trophic levels, supporting economically valuable predator fish, birds, and mammals. Despite the key ecological role of forage fish, fisheries management efforts are often directed elsewhere; as a result, input data for fisheries models is unavailable for many forage fish species. Rhenium (Re) is a group 7 heavy 5d transition metal in the same family as manganese (Mn) and technetium (Tc). Re-carbonyl complexes are known to be catalysts for many different kinds of reactions from C-C bond formation to reduction reactions like CO2 reduction (CO2RR)1,2. With this in mind, we have prepared a set of six Re-carbonyl complexes of 2,2′-pyridyl-1,6-naphthyridine (1,6- pynap) and 2,2′-pyridyl-1,8-naphthyridine (1,8-pynap), a redox non-innocent ligand containing a bpy moiety as well as an additional aryl nitrogen binding location at which another metal-ligand bond could form. Public health insurance programs like Medicare and Medicaid have been shown to help reduce household debt caused by healthcare costs. The impact of health insurance literacy makes the relationship between public health programs and debt more ambiguous. The increasing complexity of Medicare raises the question of whether cost savings associated with enrollment might be mitigated by the complexity of choosing the ideal plan for those with low health insurance literacy. Nononcogenic somatic mutations are thought to be uncommon and inconsequential. To test this, we analyzed 43,693 National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute Trans-Omics for Precision Medicine blood whole genomes from 37 cohorts and identified 7131 non-missense somatic mutations that are recurrently mutated in at least 50 individuals. These recurrent non-missense somatic mutations (RNMSMs) are not clearly explained by other clonal phenomena such as clonal hematopoiesis. RNMSM prevalence increased with age, with an average 50-year-old having 27 RNMSMs. Inherited germline variation associated with RNMSM acquisition.
