This thesis presents a system that allows large AI models to run directly on personal devices instead of relying on cloud servers. Recent advances in artificial intelligence, especially large language models (LLMs), have made it possible to build powerful applications such as chatbots, coding assistants, and intelligent agents. However, most of these systems run in the cloud, which raises concerns about privacy, latency, and cost.

During a crisis, nonprofit organizations must communicate quickly and ethically with their stakeholders to maintain a good relationship. Data was collected from nonprofit organizations’ Instagram and X accounts during a one-month period surrounding Hurricane Helene in 2024 to see how organizations were communicating with their stakeholders during a crisis. This study found that nonprofit organizations were implementing elements of dialogic communication and renewal into their social media messages. It was also found that national and global organizations were more vocal than local and regional organizations during the crisis. Energetic Eutectics: An Experimental And Computational Investigation On Explosive Deep Eutectic Solvents, Connor J. Parker

This study reports on the incorporation an extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) machine learning strategy tailored to identifying potential high-energy, insensitive explosive deep eutectic solvents. 1,1-diamino-2,2-dinitroethylene (FOX-7) was investigated as the explosive of interest in our eutectic modeling. The resulting predictions highlighted a wide range of binary compositions demonstrating significant depression from the FOX-7 melting temperature with >70% probabilities of formation. Subsequent computational investigation into select mixtures provided underlying stabilization energies and optimized mixture geometries, which were then assessed experimentally with near simulant compounds oxalyldihydrazide and 1-methyl-3- nitroguanidine replacing FOX-7.

The integration of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) into the national airspace presents new challenges for pilot training that are not adequately addressed by current commercial flight training standards. AAM aircraft, such as electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, differ significantly from conventional aircraft in terms of design, propulsion, and automation. As a result, pilots will require new training that goes beyond the traditional fixed-wing or rotorcraft training offered under 14 C.F.R. Parts 61 and 141. The liver plays an essential role in regulating metabolism. Though, when the physiology of the liver is thrown off, this can lead to pathological states. Metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) can be a consequence of irregular physiological state in relation to metabolism. MASLD is the leading chronic liver disease globally with estimated 30% of patients affected, and incidence rates expected to rise. MASLD is diagnosed when there is a >5% build up of lipids in the hepatocytes and is not associated with high alcohol consumption. This paper will explore whether collegiate student-athletes at the University of Northern Colorado (UNCO) engage with art-based pre-performance rituals (PPRs) and, if so, examine their perceived effects on mental preparation prior to competition. Research has discussed traditional preparatory routines (PRs)—breathing techniques, visualization, goal setting, and problem-solving—creating a gap for understanding how creative or symbolic rituals function in the realm of collegiate sports. Crops are continually challenged by biotic stresses, including fungal, bacterial and viral pathogens and insect pests, which cause substantial yield and quality losses worldwide. WRKY transcription factors constitute a plant-specific and functionally diverse family that is central to immune regulation. Recent advances in genomic resources and multi-omics approaches have accelerated the identification and functional characterisation of WRKYs in crops. This review summarises the structural features and classification of WRKY genes and their genome-wide distribution across crop species. Renaissance art historical scholarship has largely ignored the political and cultural significance woven into the representation of textiles, as well as their communicative potential in paintings. In this study, I examine how textiles in their various forms carry the potential to go beyond their normative categorization as decoration. Through a comparative analysis of the paintings produced in two politically distinct polities—Florence and Venice—during the sixteenth century, I integrate Louis Althusser’s theory of ideology and Michael Baxandall’s period eye to elucidate how painted fabric was not the representation of a passive decorative ornament. Hagens added in the edits Mary Brennan Clapp wrote on her original manuscript and included chapter subheadings. Sleep disturbances are among the most prevalent and burdensome non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease (PD), yet the contribution of prior traumatic brain injury (TBI) to these problems remains poorly understood. The purpose of this study was to examine whether the number and severity of lifetime head injuries predicted sleep disturbances in individuals with PD. Data from 3,055 PD patients enrolled in the Fox Insight study were analyzed, including 1,593 with a history of head injury. Participants completed self-report questionnaires assessing head injury history, motor and cognitive symptoms, and sleep disturbances. The present study examined equity and inclusion in early childhood special education through the lived experiences of administrators, educators, and caregivers. Despite decades of legislation, preschool students of color with dis/abilities continue to experience disproportionate identification for special education, exclusionary discipline, and limited access to inclusive settings (DHHS & DE, 2023; NCD, 2018). In recent decades, the United States has seen a growing anti-immigration climate marked by restrictive policies, racialized political rhetoric, and public discourse targeting immigrant communities. God’s revelation in Jesus Christ both discloses and obligates, presenting an alternate view of reality to be seen and an ethical command to be done. The Gospel of John weaves the motifs of “seeing” and “doing” into a single disciple-making process. It aims to transform a person’s identity, worldview, and understanding of God before inviting ethical emulation. This sequence evokes a moral response, calling disciples to do “just as” Jesus and His Father have done, particularly in love, unity, mission, and otherworldliness. T his study explores the role of mentorship and peer-led initiatives in fostering spiritual growth among Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) youth, drawing insights from the epistle of 1 John. Adolescence presents spiritual challenges due to societal pressures, media influences, and peer expectations. The research highlights mentorship as providing spiritual guidance and intergenerational learning, while peer-led initiatives promote mutual encouragement and accountability. The study evaluates program effectiveness, challenges, and solutions using a case study survey approach among 61 Ghanaian SDA youth, ages 15–25.
