Learning materials is one of the important components of learning. Learning materials based on Augmented reality is capable of accommodating the needs of learners. Augmented reality intends to insert virtual objects into the real environment. In recent activity, learning materials are still using conventional media such as presentation slides and the internet. Consequently, students do not obtain appropriate material for certain learning. Learning materials assisted by augmented reality can be a so- lution for students in understanding moving pictures. The development model used was the Lee & Owens model. It produces valid and effective learning material products with augmented reality.

This study examined whether high proficient students who are trained with the treatment of the combination of peer and self-directed feedback (PSF) have better writing ability than the high profi- cient students who are not trained with this treatment. Employing a quasi-experimental research, this study involved two groups of 28 students given a writing test. The results pointed out that the stu- dents who were trained with the combination of PSF had better writing ability than the students who were not trained with the combination of PSF. This study aims at investigating the rhetorical moves and steps of 24 undergraduate and graduate thesis abstracts. It mainly focuses on how the writers demonstrate the realization of linguistics yielding the conventional and standardized abstract writing convention. This corpus-based research utilizes the descriptive qualitative design. The result of this study reveals that most thesis abstracts have accommodated five moves. Interestingly, five out of eight abstracts written by students with low- level GPA come complete five moves, but only three out of five written by high-leveled GPA students present the complete five moves. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of role play integrated with word cards on students’ speaking skill for communication. A one group pretest-posttest design with the 23 students were given treatments for six meetings. To achieve the aim of the study, a pretest before the treatment, and posttest, after the treatment, are constructed. Then, the mean scores of both tests are compared. It is found that the mean score in the posttest is significantly higher than in the pretest. It means role-play integrated with word cards is effective in improving students’ speaking skill for communication.

Affective aspects are considered as one of the most influencing factor in learning foreign language. The aim of this study is to figure the model of affective aspects as factors in predicting writ- ing performance of the EFL college students. The sample of this study consists of 134 students of Eng- lish Department, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim. The result of this study confirms that writing anxiety, writing self-efficacy, and writing attitude contribute to and writing performance (39.2%). This research investigated communication strategies used by female and male students of ELT at Universitas Negeri Malang and their perception on the use of communication strategies in oral communication. This research employed descriptive qualitative research design. It used purposeful sampling technique. It was found out that both female and male students only used 10 out of 12 com- munication strategies. Both male and female students perceived that communication strategies were helpful to cope with difficulties, to maintain the conversation, to negotiate meaning, to solve problems, and to enhance the effectiveness of communication.

This descriptive qualitative study aimed to investigate the demotivating factors experienced by vocational high school students in learning English. Nineteen students of Department of Graphic Production students of SMKN 4 Malang were involved as research participants. The findings revealed that the students experienced both internal and external demotivation. External demotivation was more dominant compared to internal demotivation. External demotivation fell into four themes—i.e., teacher’s behaviour and competence, teacher’s teaching method, learning environment, and the materials of English lesson; while internal demotivation fell into three themes—i.e., students’ attitude toward English, students’ experience of failure, and students’ self-esteem. Urban Indian Organizations (UIOs) serve as community centers, providing culturally responsive services to urban American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) populations. The majority offer patient navigation, which helps clients with scheduling and understanding treatment plans. They also provide insurance navigation, assisting clients with accessing eligible health insurance plans. Given their unique standing in a competitive marketplace, and since most UIOs require their clients to be enrolled tribal members, providing enrollment verification services is needed. This study investigates the relationship between sinkhole occurrence and distance to drainage in the Sivrihisar region (Central Turkey) and evaluates the suitability of different regression approaches for modeling clustered count data in karst terrains. A comprehensive inventory of 104 sinkholes developed within the Neogene lacustrine limestones of the Akpınar Formation was compiled using official records, remote sensing analyses, and detailed field surveys. Sinkhole occurrences were analyzed relative to a drainage network derived from a high-resolution Digital Surface Model and grouped by proximity to drainage lines. This defensive publication describes systems and methods for extending the usable life of data storage devices, including heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) disk drives, by selectively identifying and logically depopulating heads which contain degraded recording, sensing, servo, or energy-delivery elements while maintaining continued device operation. By monitoring workload-normalized, per-element reliability metrics and applying standardized element depopulation, reporting, and restoration mechanisms, devices that would otherwise be removed from service due to element degradation can continue operating at reduced but usable capacity.
