Landscaping Of Mcp: An Overview Of Mcp Mitigations And Tools, Arden Michel Apr 2026

Landscaping Of Mcp: An Overview Of Mcp Mitigations And Tools, Arden Michel

Cybersecurity Undergraduate Research Showcase

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) has quickly become the standard for enabling agentic AI systems to interact with external tools, data sources, and services. Since its debut in 2024, MCP has been adopted by companies such as Google, Apple, Meta, and IBM. While this integration greatly improves the capabilities of large language models (LLMs), it also creates a new attack surface that the security community is only beginning to understand systematically.

A key architectural challenge is MCP's fundamental reliance on implicit trust: servers often run locally with high privileges, tool descriptions are accepted without question, and external servers are presumed …

Knowledge, Attitude And Practice Towards Sarcopenia Among Diabetic Patients Attending Outpatient Department Of A Tertiary Care Centre In Kerala, India, Vysakh Ts, Ajas Sn, Asha Raby N

Muthanna Medical Journal

Background: Sarcopenia is a progressive skeletal muscle disorder increasingly seen in individuals with diabetes, leading to functional decline and poor quality of life. Despite Kerala's high diabetes burden, sarcopenia remains underrecognized. This study assessed knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) regarding sarcopenia among diabetic patients and examined inter-domain relationships. Methods: A 6-month institutional cross-sectional study was conducted in the Family Medicine outpatient department of St. Joseph's Hospital Trust, Kochi. Using consecutive sampling, 154 diabetic patients (type 1 or 2) aged ≥ 40 years were enrolled. Data were collected using a pilot-tested questionnaire covering sociodemographic and clinical details, knowledge (12 items), attitude …

Regulatory Role Of Il-1Β And Cxcl8 In Inflammatory Cell Dynamics And Gingival Inflammation In Gingivitis, Dhuha Mahmood Ali Apr 2026

Regulatory Role Of Il-1Β And Cxcl8 In Inflammatory Cell Dynamics And Gingival Inflammation In Gingivitis, Dhuha Mahmood Ali

Muthanna Medical Journal

Background: Gingivitis is a common inflammatory disease of the periodontal tissues characterized by immune responses triggered by microbial biofilm. The inflammatory process involves the release of several cytokines and chemokines, including interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β ) and chemokine CXCL8, which play crucial roles in regulating leukocyte recruitment and inflammatory signaling within the gingival tissues. These biomarkers are considered important indicators of periodontal inflammation and may reflect the progression of periodontal diseases.

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the levels of inflammatory biomarkers IL-1β and CXCL8 and investigate their role in gingival inflammation.

Materials and Methods: This case-control study included subjects diagnosed …

Prevalence And Clinical Significance Of Anti-A And Anti-B Haemolysins In Group O Voluntary Blood Donors: A Cross-Sectional Laboratory-Based Study From South India, Resmi T Mony Apr 2026

Prevalence And Clinical Significance Of Anti-A And Anti-B Haemolysins In Group O Voluntary Blood Donors: A Cross-Sectional Laboratory-Based Study From South India, Resmi T Mony

Muthanna Medical Journal

Background: Group O blood donors are considered universal red-cell donors due to the absence of A and B antigens on erythrocytes. However, their plasma contains naturally occurring anti-A and anti-B isoagglutinins, which may exhibit complement-mediated haemolytic activity. Transfusion of plasma-containing components from such donors to non-O recipients-especially platelets or large plasma volumes—can result in passive haemolytic transfusion reactions. Data on the prevalence of high haemolytic potential in South India remain limited. Methods: This observational cross-sectional laboratory-based study was conducted from November 2017 to November 2019 at the blood bank of Sree Gokulam Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. A total of 106 …

Race Evasion In White Student Affairs Professionals In Minnesota Higher Education: A Phenomenology, Cindy Boe Apr 2026

Race Evasion In White Student Affairs Professionals In Minnesota Higher Education: A Phenomenology, Cindy Boe

Dissertations, Theses, and Projects

Language that includes race-evasive frames is used by White individuals to maintain a status quo wherein White individuals hold greater access to societal power and resources than people of color. Race-evasive frames include abstract liberalism, naturalization, cultural racism, and disconnected power-analysis. In higher education, use of race evasive frames has been primarily documented in White college students and White faculty members. This study addressed in a gap in the literature related to race evasion in White student affairs professionals. Student affairs professionals provide direct support to college students. Scholars have suggested that student affairs professionals carry responsibility for advancing equity …

On Track But Too Slow? The Dynamics Of Eu Decarbonization, Parisa Pakrooh, Matteo A. Manera Apr 2026

On Track But Too Slow? The Dynamics Of Eu Decarbonization, Parisa Pakrooh, Matteo A. Manera

Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei Working Papers

Despite the strong commitment of European countries to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, the extent to which key policies and drivers jointly shape emissions dynamics remains insufficiently investigated. To fill this gap, the study investigates the combined effects of the circular economy, energy transition, emissions trading systems, carbon tax, and digitalization on carbon reduction in the EU member states. Using annual data from 2000 to 2023, the analysis integrates causal discovery, time-varying dependence modeling, and machine learning methods to unravel system-level causal structure, dynamic connectedness, and future emission trajectories. The Directed Acyclic Graph method, especially the Fast Adjacency Skewness algorithm, …

Sulfuric Acid Mist Generation, Calculation, And Suppression Mechanism And Methods In Electrowinning: A Review, Ashish Kakoria, Mirza Muhammad Zaid, Guang Xu Apr 2026

Sulfuric Acid Mist Generation, Calculation, And Suppression Mechanism And Methods In Electrowinning: A Review, Ashish Kakoria, Mirza Muhammad Zaid, Guang Xu

Mining Engineering Faculty Research & Creative Works

This review discusses the events of acid mist production at the final stage of hydrometallurgical metal production in copper electrowinning. This review entails the complete process of oxygen bubble generation on the anode and its stages to form into acid mist at the surface of the electrolyte. When these bubbles burst at the solution/air interface, fine acid-containing liquid droplets become airborne and spread throughout the workspace, with the impact factors suppressing the acid mist produced during the process. Also, parameters such as bubble size, temperature, surface tension, and visco-elasticity also affect the acid mist. Sulfuric acid affects the tank houses …

New Arrivals Trust In Government In Country Of Origin And Chicago, Connor W. Wood, Anna E. Bullock, Cristian L. Paredes Apr 2026

New Arrivals Trust In Government In Country Of Origin And Chicago, Connor W. Wood, Anna E. Bullock, Cristian L. Paredes

Sociology: Faculty Publications and Other Works

Trust in government refers to individuals’ willingness to place confidence in governing institutions. This research brief examines whether new arrivals trust government both in their countries of origin and in the City of Chicago. Using descriptive statistics from the 2025 New Arrivals/Asylum Seeker Survey Project, the study compares reported levels of trust across these two contexts. The findings show that most respondents distrusted governments in their countries of origin—suggesting distrust as a key push factor—while expressing substantially higher trust in Chicago’s government, highlighting the city’s role as a sanctuary city.
