Formative Experiences, Belief Formation, And Entrepreneurial Success: An Upstream Development Perspective For Entrepreneurship Education, Johan C.G. Eriksson

This research examines how formative experiences inform the formation of entrepreneurial beliefs and how those beliefs relate to a practitioner-informed understanding of entrepreneurial success. Using a mixed-methods design, the study began with semi-structured interviews with 25 experienced entrepreneurs. Participants reflected on how they define entrepreneurial success and which formative experiences they associate with achieving it. Inductive thematic analysis produced a practitioner-informed definition of entrepreneurial success and identified twelve formative experiences connected to entrepreneurial development. The rest-frame ultraviolet (UV) spectra of star-forming galaxies are increasingly important as they become one of the primary windows to probe the physical properties of cosmic dawn (z > 8) galaxies with the James Webb Space Telescope. However, the systematic discrepancies between UV and optical gas-phase metallicity measurements remain poorly understood in the local universe, partly due to challenges in achieving precise comparisons between UV and optical spectra for the same objects. Environmental upbringing could potentially influence experiences with nature and scientific identity. Individuals raised in a rural environment are expected to engage with nature more than people with an upbringing in a suburban or urban area. Undergraduate students randomly enrolled in environmentallyrelated science courses at a predominately white institution and Historically Black College/University in the Southeastern United States were asked to complete a Qualtrics survey containing sociodemographic and likert scale questions. Background: North Carolina’s Care Management for High-Risk Pregnancy (CMHRP) program provides community-based care management to Medicaid-enrolled pregnant individuals with high-risk medical conditions or health-related social needs. Obstetric providers complete a standardized screener, with eligible beneficiaries referred to the CMHRP program housed in Local Health Departments (LHDs). While prior studies demonstrate positive maternal health outcomes, limited evidence exists on implementation mechanisms and contextual barriers.

Methods: This analysis represents the quantitative phase of a mixed-methods study. A cross-sectional survey was completed by 42 CMHRP stakeholders representing 50 North Carolina counties, including care managers (45.2%), administrators (28.6%), nurses, and social workers (7.1%). The …

Self-employment is commonly equated with being one’s own boss. This implies that, compared to employees, the self-employed have greater freedom to make their own decisions on key aspects of their job, including how they do their work and when they work. In this paper, we use information from a large, nationally representative survey, collected as part of the American Job Quality Study, to examine the degree to which workers in various self-employment arrangements do, in fact, control their own work. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is an endocrine disorder among women of reproductive age and is associated with insulin resistance, menstrual irregularities, hyperandrogenism, and metabolic dysfunction. Dietary modifications targeting glycemic response have emerged as a nonpharmacologic approach for PCOS management. However, long-term randomized controlled trials targeting young adult populations remain limited.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate long-term effects of adherence to a low-glycemic index diet on the frequency and severity of PCOS symptoms among female college students ages 18-22. Teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18 are particularly susceptible to inflammatory skin disorders such as acne vulgaris and atopic dermatitis, which can have a detrimental effect on their physical and mental health. Emerging evidence highlights the importance of the gut-skin axis, indicating that the makeup of the gut microbiota affects both skin health and systemic inflammation. Adolescent-specific research is still limited even though probiotic supplementation, especially Lactobacillus strains, has demonstrated anti-inflammatory effects in laboratory, animal, and small clinical studies.

The landlord commenced a plenary action against a former tenant seeking recovery of rental arrears, damages, and legal fees. The landlord moved for summary judgment and to strike the tenant's answer. The court denied both motions, finding material issues of fact regarding the amount of debt owed. The landlord's rent ledger did not credit payments made after May 2022, whereas the tenant provided checks for payments made subsequently, creating a factual dispute requiring a trial. From individual planetary systems to the Milky Way's structure, stars are the linchpin connecting astrophysical scales. Through three complementary projects, my thesis leverages these connections and large stellar surveys to offer insight into the Galaxy's dynamical and chemical history and its role in shaping planet formation and evolution. (I) I developed Protify, an automated pipeline to measure stellar rotation periods in TESS light curves, enabling rotation-based ages for thousands of stars. Applying it to overdensities of stars in eccentric Galactic orbits, thought to be post-resonant signatures of spiral arm passages, revealed unexpectedly young rotators in dynamically old populations. Ultra-endurance (UE) participation among female athletes has increased substantially, yet research examining health awareness and physiological risk in this population remains limited. Excessive training combined with inadequate energy intake places ultra-endurance female athletes at elevated risk for the Female Athlete Triad (FAT) and Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S), both driven primarily by chronic low energy availability (LEA) and associated with menstrual dysfunction, impaired bone health, metabolic disturbances, and reduced performance.

Large Language Models (LLMs) have witnessed significant adoption across numerous domains since 2020, but their proclivity to hallucinate creates unacceptable dangers in high-risk environments like healthcare, where wrong outputs can directly jeopardize human safety. While present systems focus on pre-generation mitigation strategies, they cannot ensure the safety of individual outputs during inference. We provide a post hoc Hallucination Risk Scoring (HRS) methodology that intercepts questionable outputs before they reach patients via an agentic pipeline. Epilepsy affects over five million people globally each year, yet consistent clinical diagnosis remains a persistent challenge due to the lack of standardized classification workflows across medical institutions. The Four-Dimensional Epilepsy Classification (4D-EC) framework, developed by Lüders et al., provides a comprehensive structure for characterizing paroxysmal events across four dimensions: seizure semiology, epileptogenic zone, etiology, and comorbidities.
