While the original Star Wars films have long been seen as a modern fairy tale (Gordon, 1978, p. 314), I argue that the animated television show Star Wars Rebels could also be considered a modern fairy tale due to its narrative structure. To evaluate Star Wars Rebels' structural elements, I examine its plot through Vladimir Propp’s functions of a folktale, as fairy tales and folktales share many structural elements. Vladimir Propp defined folktales around a series of 31 functions, with an emphasis on the importance of their order. Additive manufacturing is increasingly being adopted in prosthetic manufacturing because digital workflows can reduce production time and improve repeatability compared to traditional lamination. This study measured two FDM polymers—polylactic acid (PLA) and polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG)—against a baseline of Perlon epoxy laminate (not including carbon reinforcement) using standardized coupon tests (n = 3 per test). PLA and PETG samples were printed at 100% fill with a 0.6 mm nozzle, while laminate coupons were prepared by wet layup and cut to the required geometry. Techniques described herein define a law-enforcement framework for multi-agent artificial intelligence (AI) systems that enables lawful, proportionate, and auditable access to digital intelligence generated within distributed AI environments. The framework introduces a structured separation of responsibilities across multiple cooperating agents, ensuring that legal authorization, data observation, AI-based analysis, intelligence correlation, and oversight are logically and operationally decoupled.  No single agent is permitted to authorize, collect, analyze, and report intelligence, thereby reducing abuse risk and single points of failure.

This article examines The Smarter Sentencing Act of 2026, a bill that proposes to reduce minimum sentence requirements for certain drug offenses—particularly those that are nonviolent. Research has shown that prolonged prison sentences often do not lead to its intended effects and even tend to cause increased recidivism and criminogenic effects. Additionally, by reducing minimum sentencing requirements for these nonviolent drug offenses, judges are given more discretion when sentencing drug offenders, which allows for the branches of government to be more balanced and promotes leniency where judges believe it is warranted. Emergence agitation (EA) is a post-anesthetic complication that occurs when the patient is in a self-limited, nonfluctuating state of excitement while transitioning into a state of consciousness. EA can lead to negative adverse outcomes including, accidental invasive line removal, bleeding, respiratory depression, unintentional extubation, and injury to the staff and the patient. EA is often observed in military veterans who have a medical history of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). For patients with a history of military exposure undergoing elective general anesthesia who also have PTSD, anxiety, and or depression, the incidence of EA was estimated to be around 27%. The …

Journal of King Abdulaziz University: Meteorology, Environment and Arid Land Agriculture

This study examines the spatial and temporal variability of dust (DU) and dust-storm (DS) activity across Saudi Arabia using surface observations for the period 1979–2008, with a focus on the spring season (March–May). The study area was divided into three latitudinal zones from south to north (Zones 1–3). Monthly, seasonal, and annual frequencies of DU and DS events were analyzed to identify spatial differences, seasonal patterns, extreme events, and long-term trends. The results reveal strong spatial variability in dust activity across the three zones, with a clear latitudinal gradient with increasing dust activity toward northern regions. What is more valuable—the right to protect yourself, or the right to seek medical treatment? Presently, law abiding Floridians must choose between the two. Because the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (“ATF”) classifies medical marijuana patients as “unlawful drug users,” Floridians enrolled in the State’s medical marijuana scheme are prohibited from lawfully owning firearms. A lawsuit currently pending before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals seeks to address this constitutional conflict. This Article discusses that lawsuit, the legal framework in which it’s proceeding, and how courts may decide the appropriate balance between such fundamental questions.

This paper reviews the benefits of incorporating developmentally appropriate practices into the classroom through a play-based approach. This is a controversial topic, as most teachers are more concerned with teaching to the standards than with the needs of students as a whole. Fifteen studies, including qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, and action research, were used to examine what developmentally appropriate practices are. Three themes emerged from the studies: play-based learning, professional development, and teacher-student collaboration. In the play-based theme, a sub-theme emerged which focused on games and gaming. The findings showed that students thrive more in an environment where play-based learning is …

• While it is logistically feasible to grow and harvest two short-season maize crops during the dry season in the West Kimberley, growing a single crop with high yield potential is a more efficient use of machinery, labour and inputs.
• Total biomass yield from a double cropping trial east of Broome generated 20.8t/ha dry matter and 59.7t/ha of silage over a seven-month period but this did not exceed the yield achieved from growing a single crop with a longer-season phenology and best practice agronomy.

To support this growing investment, the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) carried out replicated, randomised trials on irrigated Rhodes grass near Broome.

The purposes of this descriptive, retroactive, and quantitative study were to create a risk index to predict 30-day readmissions to a state psychiatric hospital and to lend clarity to the conflicting research on 30-day readmissions. This study assessed discharges from 2006-2019 (N = 4,555) across over 28 variables ranging from patient, hospital, and discharge domains. This study created a model comprised of significant variables and converted it into a weighted risk index. These significant variables included: circulatory disease diagnosis, previous admissions to hospital, number of psychiatric diagnoses, region of discharge, PACT referral, and level of placement.
