This study is an analysis of the compositional structure of Jupiter’s icy moon, Europa, by utilizing multi-wavelength spectroscopy. The objective of this study is to enhance our understanding of Europa’s compositional and potential biological characteristics.
Spectral data was obtained from various space missions and instruments. We are looking at imaging and spectroscopy-focused instruments RALPH, LORRI, LEISA, ALICE, and MVIC which were all part of the New Horizons spacecraft that launched in 2006. The data collected was from the Jupiter fly-by in February-March 2007.

The Hazel Green Academy Revitalization Project is a community service-based project focused on restoring and repurposing the Hazel Green Academy (HGA). Established in 1880, HGA was a residential college-preparatory school located in Eastern Wolfe County, KY. At its height, HGA served not only as a school but also as a source of education and community events. Throughout the years, the academy expanded its facilities and resources to benefit both the students and the community. However, as free public schools emerged in the surrounding area during the 1930s, HGA faced a decline in enrollment. Consequently, HGA struggled for the next few …

Ictalurus punctatus, more commonly known as the Channel Catfish, is common throughout the Savannah River Basin. Fifteen specimens were captured by hook and line from the Little River in McCormick County, South Carolina. The gills and viscera were examined for metazoan parasites and prevalence and mean intensity were computed. The monogenean Ligictaluridus pricei and the copepod Ergasilus arthrosis were recovered from the gills. Two digenetic trematodes (Megalonia ictaluri and Alloglossidium corti), one tapeworm (Corallobothrium fimbriatum), two nematodes (Camallanus oxycephalus and Spinitectus carolini) and one acanthocephalan (Neoechinorhynchus cylindratus) were recovered from the …

Purpose Statement: Several studies have shown that aerobic exercise can have a positive impact on alleviating symptoms experienced by individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD). Despite this evidence, the potential benefits of exercise for both PD patients and their care partners (PD dyad) remain unexplored. This research project investigates the effectiveness, therapeutic collaborations, and physical outcomes of a virtual reality (VR) tandem cycling program specifically designed for PD dyads.

BACKGROUND: To prepare for physically challenging environments, it is expected that military personnel achieve higher levels of physical fitness than the general population. The recent COVID-19 pandemic impacted physical activity levels among many of America’s youth, and thus, new recruits may be entering military service with lower fitness levels. Background: In South Carolina (SC), 42% of youth are overweight or obese. Two sets of modifiable behaviors contributing to obesity are physical activity (PA) and dietary habits. School-based interventions have successfully improved these behaviors. The purpose of this study was to identify SC public school personnel perspectives on the most common barriers and facilitators to regular PA and healthy eating behaviors in schools.

How does peer support effect the ability of students to seek out mental health help from a professional? In this study, the experimenter investigates the type of support the students receive from their peers and how that affects their ability to seek out help from a professional. Accurate intention-seeking of students was recorded for both the behavioral concerns and their support types. A Mental Help Seeking Intention Scale was used to measure the data collected in this study. School leaders must make decisions and implement strategies to improve a school climate and student achievement, and it benefits them to understand which areas of school climate have the greatest impact on student achievement. The State of Georgia measures school climate and student achievement with its school accountability measure, the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). This study employed a quantitative research design using archival data that was publicly available from CCRPI data for a two year span to examine the relationship between school climate and student achievement statewide in the middle grade sector. These programs enable students to earn both high school and college credit and get a head start on their college education. High school bands have evolved greatly since the first band boom in the early 1920s. Beyond the performance responsibilities and commitments to football and sporting events, bands have their own cultural elements that only band members, band staffs, and families of band students truly understand. This thesis will demonstrate that high school band culture since the 1920s developed alongside the changing fortunes of the U.S. military. The aim of the work is to study the chemical composition of essential oil samples of four endemic species of wormwood growing in the Central Kopetdag, to determine the main components. Using the method of steam distillation, essential oil samples were obtained from four endemic species of Artemisia turcomanica, Artemisia kopetdagensis, Artemisia ciniformis, Artemisia badhysi of the Central Kopetdag Artemisia, and the dependence of the yield of essential oil on the type of wormwood, place of growth was studied, the appearance and limits of change in the refractive index were characterized. Bismuth vanadate (BiVO4) and its hybrids have strong photocatalytic effect on water splitting and photodegradation of organic pollutants under visible light. The main goal is design of efficient electrocatalysts containing different metal ions and functional groups which are capable of catalysing the electrochemical reactions at low overpotentials especially for hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions. The objects of the study are visible–light photocatalyst – BiVO4, novel cobalt and palladium substituted phthalocyanines ([poly(Co(II)TPpPc)] - phenolphthalein-embedded cobalt phthalocyanine polymer, PdTAHAPc - palladium amide bridge hippuric acid phthalocyanine). The aim of the study is to develop the composition of sulfur polymer concrete (SPB) based on the waste "cake" from the production of sulfuric acid from sulfur dioxide, steppe quartz sand, as well as the pyrolysis residue of polymer production. Some identified features of solid-phase processes controlled by the chemical interaction of the SPB charge components with liquid (molten) sulfur are presented, as well as the results of scientific studies of factors affecting the quality of the SPB samples.

This research focused on Grade 12 students who participated in a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in Media and Information Literacy (MIL) during the school year 2022-2023. The study involved 259 learners from Talipan National High School – Senior High School and employed a quantitative method with a descriptive research design. Input data included the average mean, mean percentage scores (MPS), and mastery level of students. The process involved collecting data from a summative test, item analysis, and grades/ratings from the online course. The study examines the concept of civic identity using latent content analysis that emerged from the 16 success stories journals of Grade 12 students in the Philippine Science High School - Ilocos Region Campus based on Bengtsson’s (2016) four-step-process data procedure. This study aimed to enhance the academic performance in Practical Research 2 of SHS students in Canda NHS through Project REIGNS (Research Enhancement through Intensifying Goals for the Needy Students). It identified the problems encountered by the students in making research, attained 100% enhancement of papers, and increased knowledge in all parts of research. This study used a mixed-method, quasi-experimental research design, purposive sampling, and dependent t-test with 88 respondents from Grade 12.
