According to the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, 2022), in the United States, flu season occurs in the Fall and Winter, and peaks between December and February. The influenza season is often accompanied by highly transmissible upper respiratory viral infections, which prompts infected people to seek medical treatment at doctor's offices. Annual seasonal influenza epidemics result in 290,000–650,000 deaths worldwide, while influenza pandemics have resulted in many more, the A(H1N1) pandemic of 1918–1919 caused 20–50 million deaths (Tyrrell, 2021). Purpose: A student preparation strategy of growing interest is the implementation of computerized curricular assistive tools (CCAT) into a nursing program’s senior-level curriculum.

Methods: This study investigated a Virginia baccalaureate nursing program’s integration of a CCAT into a senior-level course to assist students in preparing for the comprehensive exit and NCLEX-RN examinations while improving the program’s first-attempt NCLEX pass rate. This retrospective chart review examined female patients (N=25) who had a postpartum hemorrhage. Electronic medical records from Regional One Health were queried for ICD-10 072 related codes from January 1, 2021-October 31, 2023. Of those, a maximum of 25 charts were identified and the information was deidentified. All data was de-identified, coded, encrypted, housed, and locked securely. Selected records that met the above criteria were then queried for the following: Baseline demographics, gravida, para, amount of blood loss, pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, and timing of tranexamic acid (TXA) administration. The purpose of this study was to understand and answer the overarching research question: To what extent are PA educators prepared to recognize and respond to students impacted by trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)? This question is investigated using a mixed methods action research design on the preparedness of k-12 arts and non-arts educators within one school district. This study unpacks the level of preparedness of educators teaching students with trauma and adverse childhood experiences. The purpose of this quality improvement project is to provide and increase educational awareness and knowledge regarding iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in pregnant patients at an urban primary care clinic in Memphis, TN. This project is intended to decrease the number of individuals with IDA in pregnancy while decreasing the occurrence of IDA-related complications in pregnancy. The study aimed to introduce a cost-effective approach to help decrease or eradicate complications related to IDA during pregnancy.
