The goal of this thesis is to examine the civil rights movement in sociopolitical and embodied contexts. Positioning dance as a method of data collection, analysis, and interpretation; as well as a competent means of trauma-informed intergenerational healing. It builds upon the principles of arts-based research, dance/movement, therapy, polyvagal theory, and the body as an informed living archive of social experiences. Patterns And Drivers Of Cladocera Community Structure In The Black Sea, Elena Bisinicu, Luminita Lazar

Cladoceran community dynamics were examined in the Romanian sector of the Black Sea during the warm seasons of 2013– 2020, using Marine Reporting  Units (MRUs) to evaluate spatial heterogeneity across transitional, coastal, and  marine waters. Analyses of density, biomass, mean individual biomass (MIB), and  species composition revealed interannual fluctuations superimposed on strong  nearshore–offshore gradients, with higher values in transitional and coastal MRUs.  The assemblage was consistently dominated by Pleopis polyphemoides and Penilia  avirostris, which together accounted for most of the total abundance and biomass.  Multivariate analysis identified significant differences in taxonomic composition  across MRUs and years, while correlation analyses highlighted …

Endemism Patterns Of Leaf Beetles (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) In Türkiye, İsmai̇l Şen, Ali̇ Gök

In this study, the distribution of endemic leaf beetles in Türkiye was analyzed  holistically at the provincial scale using species richness (ENR), corrected weighted  endemism (CWE), and range-restricted endemism (RRE) indices. A total of 95  endemic taxa were found in Türkiye and these taxa exhibited significant spatial  heterogeneity in terms of richness and extent of distribution. The Western and  Central Taurus Mountains and the Eastern Black Sea Region were found to be the  main centers of endemism, with high densities of narrowly distributed and  geographically restricted species. Global warming and extreme heatwaves, which can alter species distribution and ecosystem dynamics, have profound effects on forest ants. T‍his study investigated the impact of summer and autumn 2024 heatwaves on the activity, prey transport, and nest-building of Formica rufa Linnaeus, 1761 and Lasius fuliginosus (Latreille, 1798) in deciduous forests of Kyiv, Ukraine. Fieldwork was conducted from June to September 2024 in Holosiyivo Forest and the Feofaniya tract. Ant colonies were assigned to experimental plots, where logs were placed along foraging trails, or to control plots with unmanipulated ground-floor trails. Understanding species-specific habitat preferences provides essential ecological  information about interactions among habitat components. In South Korea, roe deer  (Capreolus pygargus) and water deer (Hydropotes inermis argyropus) are the  dominant large herbivorous mammals of the family Cervidae. The increasing populations of these species have led to ecological and economic  challenges. Prior research has shown suboptimal health and longevity among Native Americans in the Four Corners region of the United States, which encompasses Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah. Our study (1) investigates how life expectancy trends and disparities changed among non-Hispanic Native Americans and Whites in the Four Corners States (FCS) during the COVID-19 pandemic and (2) examines the extent to which longevity changes are directly attributable to COVID-19, relative to other causes of death. Despite the formal adoption of gender policies by significant climate funds and international agreements aimed at promoting equity, only 2.3% of global climate finance is explicitly allocated to gender equality, and women remain significantly underrepresented in climate-related decision-making processes. Although several climate funds, such as the Green Climate Fund and the Adaptation Fund, have successfully integrated gender components, implementation often remains symbolic rather than transformative. Drawing on a critical ecofeminist framework, this article examines how climate finance mechanisms, particularly in the Global South, can inadvertently reinforce existing gender inequities. Inflammation is a major driver in many aspects of recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) pathology, including impaired wound healing, fibrosis, and potentially cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma development. Fibroblasts, as key stromal cells in the dermis, are responsible for orchestrating inflammatory responses through the secretion of cytokines and chemokines upon stimulation with IL-1α or IL-6. Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling 3 (SOCS3) functions as a negative feedback regulator of cytokine signaling and has emerged as a key modulator of inflammatory responses in immune cells and fibroblasts. The Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD), established at COP28 in 2023, represents a historic diplomatic breakthrough in multilateral climate finance, yet its design reflects the compromises necessary to secure political agreement rather than a just institutional architecture. This thesis evaluates the FRLD and two prominent reform proposals—the Bridgetown Initiative 3.0 and Esther Duflo's Grand Bargain—against a novel framework that provides a more precise way to evaluate the “justness” of different arrangements. This research examines whether the auto-specific provisions introduced under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) have had a measurable regionalizing effect on North American export flows. The USMCA's auto-specific provisions, established in the rules of origin requirements (ROOs), increase regional value content requirements (RVC) while imposing new requirements for labor value content (LVC), steel and aluminum sourcing, and core parts. This research assesses whether these provisions are associated with a distinctive pattern of intra-regional export concentration not present in other sectors.

This thesis evaluates whether the Russo Ukrainian war represents a revolution in military affairs (RMA) by testing Stephen Biddle’s "modern system" theory of battlefield outcomes against recent combat operations. Applying Biddle’s formal model to the 2023 Ukrainian offensive in Zaporizhia, the thesis finds that the offensive's failure conforms closely to Biddle’s causal logic, with force employment variables drawn from 20th century combat sufficient to account for the outcome. Biddle's model in military power argues that force employment has explained victory and defeat since World War I, rather than technology or numerical preponderance alone. This study presents a techno-economic analysis (TEA) and life cycle assessment (LCA) of the electrocatalytic reduction of CO₂ to ethanol, a multi-carbon (C₂) product with significant market value. Prior TEA studies have relied on simplified lump-sum separation cost estimates, and prior LCA studies have rarely examined the combined effect of CO₂ source and electricity supply on carbon intensity gaps that this work addresses through process-simulation-grounded analysis. Near-miss events, defined as errors intercepted before reaching the patient, offer valuable opportunities for learning and prevention, particularly in high-acuity intensive care units (ICUs). Despite the availability of electronic reporting systems and national emphasis on patient safety, near-miss reporting remains inconsistent in many critical care settings. This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) quality improvement project evaluated the impact of a structured educational intervention on near-miss reporting within a cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) at a large academic medical center.
