Early Intervention System Contextual Factors Contributing To Treatment Attendance And Clinical Outcomes, Anthony Eldridge
Early Intervention System Contextual Factors Contributing To Treatment Attendance And Clinical Outcomes, Anthony Eldridge
Theses and Dissertations
Early Intervention Programs (EI) are an established method of addressing and treating earlier childhood developmental problems that involves a system of complex processes which families must navigate to secure and maintain care. Extensive wait times and multiple service providers burdensome caregivers which may impact treatment engagement. Telehealth offers some clinical utility for improving EI service provision. However, little is known how system contextual factors predict a child’s Part B Eligibility and level of engagement with treatment. The primary aim of this study is to describe the effect that wait time, number of service providers, number of treatment services, and treatment …

The Amount Of Determination Of Some Bio-Kinematic Variables In The Accuracy Of The Skill Of Aiming When Jumping High With A Handball, Zubaida Salah Hadi
Modern Sport
The introduction to the research summarized that the most important science that contributed to the progress of movement in the sports field is biomechanics, as studying movement according to scientific foundations requires knowledge of the laws and mechanical factors affecting the motor performance of sports events. Therefore, those working in the sports field were interested in studying, analyzing, evaluating and developing skills through diagnosing areas of strength and weakness in these skills in order to improve the level of technical performance. The problem with the research is that most players lack full awareness and understanding of how to invest in …

BISNIS & BIROKRASI: Jurnal Ilmu Administrasi dan Organisasi
This study evaluates the impact of the Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) policy in preventing stunting in Jember, East Java. Stunting, a result of chronic malnutrition, remains a significant public health challenge in Indonesia, with Jember exhibiting higher prevalence rates than the national average. The UCT policy aims to improve the welfare of low-income families by providing direct financial assistance, allowing them to meet basic needs, including nutrition. This research utilizes a qualitative approach through case studies and interviews with relevant stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of UCT in enhancing children's nutrition and health. The findings indicate that while UCT has …

New Hampshire's Well Educated, Underpaid Child Care Workforce, Rebecca Glauber, Jess Carson
Carsey Publications
In this primer, authors Rebecca Glauber and Jess Carson discuss New Hampshire’s child care workforce. They report that New Hampshire child care workers are more likely than other workers to have at least some college experience, but they earn far less. Annual earnings among full-time child care workers are just $32,310, about half those of other workers in the state. Although child care and early educators express high job satisfaction, the field is subject to turnover and short staffing as workers seek opportunities that better match their education and the cost of living in New Hampshire. They conclude that continued …

Designing A Best Possible Caregiver History To Facilitate Disposition Planning For Older Adults In Emergency Departments, Karen De Sola-Smith, Matthew Growdon, Anita N. Chary, Jennifer D. Portz, Kenneth Lam
Journal of Geriatric Emergency Medicine
Introduction and Background
Detailed information about caregivers is crucial for planning disposition from emergency departments (EDs), but it is unclear what specific information is useful for ED clinicians and how that information should be presented.
Methods
We used a Design Thinking approach to develop a standardized format—which we call a “Best Possible Caregiver History” (BPCH)—for displaying useful caregiver information to ED clinicians. The key steps of this approach are needfinding, followed by iterative cycles of ideation, rapid prototyping, and testing. For needfinding, we used semi-structured interviews of four ED clinicians on current practices for discovering and documenting caregiver information. For …

Effect Of Citrus Sinensis And Musa Textilia Consumption On Lactic Acid Levels And Muscle Tension In Fish Auction Workers, Bina Kurniawan, Mohammad Zen Rahfiludin, Yuliani Setyaningsih, Nurjazuli Nurjazuli
Media Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia
Potassium deficiency is known to induce muscle fatigue, necessitating the inclusion of potassium-rich foods, such as orange (Citrus sinensis) and banana (Musa textilia) in diet. Previous studies have shown that consuming 150 g and 300 g of banana is effective in preventing muscle fatigue, with orange containing 237.4 mg of potassium per 300 ml. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between lactic acid concentration and muscle tension reduction in fish auction workers after the administration of orange and banana. The study procedures were carried out with a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test group design, and …

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a public health problem with increasing prevalence and incidence. About 1 in 3 adults with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) has CKD. This study aims to determine the risk factors for Chronic Kidney Disease in Diabetes Mellitus (CKD-DM) patients in Indonesia. A cross-sectional study was conducted with secondary data, Indonesia Basic Health Research 2018. Data analysis was carried out univariate, bivariate, and multivariate. Also, spatial analysis was carried out to map the prevalence of cases. Among 14.932 samples, the prevalence of CKD-DM in Indonesia was 1.8%. Multivariate analysis results found that gender (aPR=3.24; 95%CI 3.182-3.306), every day …

Final Report - Mixed Reality For Beyond Visual Line-Of-Sight Bridge Inspection Using Robot-Assisted Nondestructive Evaluation, Genda Chen, Joel Runji
Project IM-5
To improve data consistency, work efficiency, inspector safety, and cost effectiveness during routine inspections, drones have been increasingly used in recent years to support imaging and scanning over the surface of various elements in a bridge for surface condition assessment. Most drones are operated manually within a visual line of sight and unable to inspect river-crossing bridges completely since not all elements can be viewed by a drone operator using a binocular. Even for autonomous drones with collision-avoidance features, physical interaction with a bridge for nondestructive evaluation (NDE) is currently impossible in practice. An alternative solution with robot-assisted remote nondestructive …

Egypt is famous for its fish wealth, given its large coasts and freshwater resources, especially of Nile Tilapia and Mugilid fish. It was estimated that domestic fish production increased from 889 thousand tonnes in 2005 to 1620 thousand tonnes in 2016. Thousands of tonnes of fish are consumed yearly, generating substantial amounts of fish waste and residues. Some 26% of the fish consumed is a typical waste. Fish wastes have a significant role in many processes and applications. They are used as feedstock for producing fish meals, a major by-product of fish waste oil. Fish oil is extracted for medical …
