The paper considers the approximation of repeatedly differentiable two variable functions by Mellin’s double singular integrals. The order of approximation of repeatedly differentiable functions by means of Mellin’s double singular integrals is obtained. The proven theorems apply to specific double singular integrals.

In this article, we offer the M-Sturm Liouville problem for the diffusion operator depending on initial condition. We obtain the representation of the solution of the M-Sturm Liouville problem for diffusion operator through the M-Laplace transform. The purpose of this article is to advantage demonstrate a more generalized version of the representation of the solution of the Sturm Liouville problem for diffusion operator in classical analysis.

On An Inverse Scattering Problem For A System Of Dirac Equations With Nonlinear Dependence On The Spectral Parameter, Sinop University, Sinop, T¨Urkiye, A Chol, Khanlar Mamedov, Igdir University, Igdir, T¨Urkiye
Baku Mathematical Journal
This paper explores an inverse scattering problem for a system of Dirac equations with boundary condition depending on spectral parameter nonlinearly. We provide the scattering data corresponding to the boundary value problem and investigate some properties. In order to discuss inverse problem, the main equation is derived and its unique solvability is proved. As a consequence, we present the reconstruction of the potential matrix function from scattering data uniquely.

Bear Essentials is an online newsletter published by the Student Activities Council of Des Moines Area Community College. The newsletter was established in early 2020 when DMACC closed its facilities due to the coronavirus pandemic. The newsletter covers topics such as upcoming virtual activities and events, college resources, and community service opportunities. When asked about the origins of the newsletter, Student Activities Advisor Erin Smith said, "We wanted students to know they were not alone, the entire DMACC Community was coming together to help support one another in any way possible."

Lung nodules are frequently detected on low-dose computed tomography scans performed for lung cancer screening and incidentally detected on imaging performed for other reasons. There is wide variability in how lung nodules are managed by general practitioners and subspecialists, with high rates of guideline-discordant care. This may be due in part to the level of evidence underlying current practice guideline recommendations (primarily based on findings from uncontrolled studies of diagnostic accuracy). The primary aims of lung nodule management are to minimize harms of diagnostic evaluations while expediting the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of lung cancer. Potentially useful tools such as …

Silica and silicate scale deposition in the production systems resulted in reduced production rates and equipment damages. Chemical scale inhibition using squeeze method is advantageous for petroleum reservoir conditions. This paper aims to assess the adsorption and squeeze performance of developed scale inhibitors that consist of polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers and pteroyl-L-glutamic acid (PGLU). Commercial inhibitor, diethylenetriamine penta(methylene phosphonic acid), also known as DETPMP, was also used to benchmark the laboratory findings. Static adsorption test and core flooding were performed to investigate the adsorption characteristics and retention of the inhibitors in Berea sandstone cores. The process of improving the strength of granular soil by utilising microorganisms is known as the biocementation process. This method involves the precipitation of calcium carbonate into the soil matrix structure through microbial calcite precipitation, resulting in the cementation of soil particles and subsequent improvement in strength and reduced permeability. This study investigated the potential of using Sporosarcina pasteurii, a microorganism strain with urease activity, to stabilise residual soil through urea hydrolysis. The cementation reagents used consisted of urea and calcium chloride at various concentrations ranging from 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, and 1.0 to 1.5 M. These concentrations were varied to …

This paper presents the results of an investigation into the influence of aggregate and binding material type on the mechanical properties of hardened concrete. Four different types of coarse aggregate (Brick Aggregate, Recycled Brick Aggregate, Black Stone and Shingles) and eight types of binding material have been used to perform this investigation. Aggregates were collected and prepared according to the grading requirements of ASTM C33-03. Several tests were performed for coarse aggregate, such as specific gravity, absorption capacity, unit weight, and abrasion resistance. The study explores the enhancement of geotechnical characteristics of lateritic soil sourced from a popular burrow pit site in Kano State, Nigeria, by incorporating Periwinkle Shell Ash (PSA). The soil sample was mixed with 0 to 10% PSA content at 2% increment by dry weight of the lateritic soil. The prepared samples were subjected to natural moisture content, specific gravity, particle size analysis, Atterberg limits, compaction California bearing ratio (CBR), and unconfined compressive strength (UCS) tests following standard procedure outlined in BS1337 (1990), BS1924 (1990), and ASTM D3282. This study aims to develop and analyse the effect of single- and double-layer smart coating systems on enhancing the corrosion protection of carbon steel pipelines in oil and gas applications, addressing the challenge of corrosion in such harsh environments. Benzotriazole (BTA) is loaded into halloysite nanotubes (HNT) using a vacuum cyclic method to form BTA-HNT, and boiled linseed oil (BLO) is encapsulated within urea-formaldehyde microcapsules, referred to as MC-BLO. The oil and gas industry faces significant challenges due to pipeline corrosion, resulting in substantial economic losses and safety risks. This study investigates the effectiveness of smart coatings containing varying concentrations of benzotriazole-loaded halloysite nanotubes (BTA-HNT) and boiled linseed oil microcapsules (MCs) in mitigating corrosion and to investigate the impact of different mixing techniques on the performance of these coatings. The oscillating water column (OWC) device is one of the most promising ocean wave energy extraction technologies. Most OWC studies focus on high-wave density areas, but there is limited research in low-wave density regions. This study evaluates the hydrodynamic efficiency of a 1:40 scale offshore OWC model in low-wave climates.
