Over the past few years, there has been a growing recognition of the importance of integrating technology into educational practices to engage students more effectively. Traditional PE methods and limited resources have hindered effective learning, necessitating new approaches. This research aimed to develop innovative, interactive learning media based on adobe animate to enhance elementary students’ learning outcomes in manipulative movement skills—a crucial component of Physical Education (PE) that fosters physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Utilizing the research and development (R&D) method with Borg and Gall's ten-stage model, the study involved experts and participants from five elementary schools in Purwokerto …

It is known that the function obtained by the action of the Calderon-Zygmund operator on a Lebesgue integrable function can be non-Lebesgue integrable. In this paper, we prove that the function obtained by the action of the Calderon-Zygmund operator on a Lebesgue integrable function is A-integrable and derive an analogue of the Riesz equality.

Uniqueness Criteria For Inverse Scattering Problem In Terms Of Transmission Matrix In Boundary Condition For A First Order System Of Ordinary Differential Equations, Gebze Technical University, Kocaeli, T¨Urkiye, M.I. Ismailov, Cihan Sabaz

The inverse scattering problem (ISP) involves the recovery of the matrix coefficient of a first-order system on the half-line from its scattering matrix. Specifically, when the matrix coefficient exhibits a triangular structure, the system possesses a Volterra-type integral transformation operator at infinity. This transformation operator facilitates the determination of the scattering matrix on the half-line through matrix Riemann-Hilbert factorization. Solving the ISP on the half-line entails reducing it to an ISP on the whole line for the considered system. This reduction involves extending the coefficients to the whole line by zero. The uniqueness criteria in terms of transmission matrix in …

On Combining The Stages Of Parametric Identification And Optimization Of Dynamic Processes, Azerbaijan State Oil And Industry University, Samir Guliyev, Seymur Mirzabayov
Baku Mathematical Journal
In the paper, we propose a method for jointly solving problems of parametric identification of a mathematical model’s parameters and searching for the optimal mode of a dynamic object. As a result of this joint process, we obtain a suboptimal solution to the problem of controlling a dynamic object in the vicinity of the optimal mode. We present computation formulas and algorithms for implementing the proposed approach, as well as the results of computer-based experiments.

Online shopping is becoming an everyday occurrence for an increasing number of people, and many activities are moving online. With the spread of running day-to-day errands online, the knowledge of consumer behaviour on websites and mobile apps is also advancing. However, the experiences of cognitive psychologists and sociologists are becoming an incentive for website owners and graphic designers to use social engineering to get users to act in accordance with the will of the entrepreneur. The use of ‘dark patterns’ raises the need to counteract their effects on consumers. Several tools are available to supervisory authorities to counteract the use …

Environmental Conditions Influencing Seasonal Population Dynamics Of Drosophila Suzukii (Diptera: Drosophilidae) In A Mid-Latitude Organic Farm Data, Eleanor Mccabe, Nicholas M. Teets, Jack J. Devlin, Megan E. Mccabe
Entomology Research Data
1. The local population dynamics of an invasive species are important for predicting impacts and determining proper management approaches. Temporal and spatial distribution can influence monitoring and treatment decisions and understanding climatic variables that affect population size can help predict peak population numbers.
2. Drosophila suzukii (Matsumara, 1931) is an invasive fruit pest, and its seasonal dynamics vary across its range. In this study, we conducted a three-year trapping study in conjunction with various modeling approaches to determine the environmental variables that influence population dynamics of D. suzukii across all seasons in central Kentucky.
3. Both male and female flies …

Design Of An Above Pavement Wireless Sensor Node (Apwsn) For Real-Time Roadway Monitoring Using Piezoelectric Energy-Harvesting, Jochy Jonathan Perez
Theses and Dissertations
The evolution of Smart Highway and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies offers new opportunities to improve the safety and efficiency of vehicular traffic on roads. This research effort describes the development of a wireless pavement sensor that provides a novel method to detect key pavement parameters while incorporating low-power energy harvesting that leverages the kinetic energy generated by vehicular traffic. The Above Pavement Wireless Sensor Node (APWSN) is the embodiment of the approach. APWSN can facilitate the strategic deployment of sensors on a wide variety of roads to enable real-time data collection to support decision-making processes for road infrastructure maintenance …

The gig economy consists of individuals, known as gig workers, who perform on-demand labor through digital platforms, such as apps or websites. This structure provides gig workers flexible employment opportunities and autonomy over their hours. However, employers often incorrectly label gig workers as independent contractors, allowing employers to avoid paying federal and state taxes while also withholding worker protections typically required by federal law. Mislabeling gig workers persists due to the lack of state regulations defining the scope of employment relationships in the emerging gig industry, and the enforcement of arbitration clauses between workers and employers hinders the enactment of …

Chemistry and Biochemistry
Background
Polymorphisms are common in nature, but they are rarely shared among closely related species. Polymorphisms could originate through convergence, ancestral polymorphism, or introgression. Although shared neutral genomic variation across species is commonplace, few examples of shared functional traits exist. The blue-orange petal color polymorphisms in two closely related species, Lysimachia monelli and L. arvensis were investigated with UV-vis reflectance spectra, flavonoid biochemistry, and transcriptome comparisons followed by climate niche analysis.
Results
Similar color morphs between species have nearly identical reflectance spectra, flavonoid biochemistry, and ABP gene expression patterns. Transcriptome comparisons reveal two orange-specific genes directly involved in both blue-orange …

Faculty Research 2024
The International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (IMPC) systematically produces and phenotypes mouse lines with presumptive null mutations to provide insight into gene function. The IMPC now uses the programmable RNA-guided nuclease Cas9 for its increased capacity and flexibility to efficiently generate null alleles in the C57BL/6N strain. In addition to being a valuable novel and accessible research resource, the production of 3313 knockout mouse lines using comparable protocols provides a rich dataset to analyze experimental and biological variables affecting in vivo gene engineering with Cas9. Mouse line production has two critical steps - generation of founders with the desired allele and …

The key informants consisted of 23 experts, selected through purposive sampling and the snowball sampling technique, and the selection criteria were those who had at least five years of experience in teaching physical education at the higher education level. The research instruments included a semi-structured interview form. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis, domain analysis and were validated with the triangulation technique by multiple …

The accuracy of single particle (SP) models for lithium-ion batteries at high C-rates is constrained by lithium concentration gradients in the electrolyte, which affect ionic conductivity, overpotential, and reaction rates. This study addresses these limitations using extreme gradient boosting machine learning (ML). By training our ML model with data from a comprehensive electrochemical (P2D) model and performing sensitivity analysis on key battery parameters, we enhance predictive accuracy. Compared to conventional SP and P2D models under constant current loading, our ML-based SP model achieves similar predictive accuracy to P2D, with significant improvements in computational efficiency. Additionally, the ML-based SP model demonstrates …
