The study explores the enhancement of geotechnical characteristics of lateritic soil sourced from a popular burrow pit site in Kano State, Nigeria, by incorporating Periwinkle Shell Ash (PSA). The soil sample was mixed with 0 to 10% PSA content at 2% increment by dry weight of the lateritic soil. The prepared samples were subjected to natural moisture content, specific gravity, particle size analysis, Atterberg limits, compaction California bearing ratio (CBR), and unconfined compressive strength (UCS) tests following standard procedure outlined in BS1337 (1990), BS1924 (1990), and ASTM D3282. This study aims to develop and analyse the effect of single- and double-layer smart coating systems on enhancing the corrosion protection of carbon steel pipelines in oil and gas applications, addressing the challenge of corrosion in such harsh environments. Benzotriazole (BTA) is loaded into halloysite nanotubes (HNT) using a vacuum cyclic method to form BTA-HNT, and boiled linseed oil (BLO) is encapsulated within urea-formaldehyde microcapsules, referred to as MC-BLO. The oscillating water column (OWC) device is one of the most promising ocean wave energy extraction technologies. Most OWC studies focus on high-wave density areas, but there is limited research in low-wave density regions. This study evaluates the hydrodynamic efficiency of a 1:40 scale offshore OWC model in low-wave climates. Experiments were conducted using five different relative gaps (i/d) between the model and horizontal bottom plates, each with three distinct shapes (cone-shaped, circular-shaped, and flat), across seven wave periods in a wave flume. Primary intraocular lymphoma (PIOL) is a rare form of primary central nervous system lymphoma that poses diagnostic challenges due to its nonspecific clinical features and complex imaging characteristics. This paper presents a focus case and two companion cases, highlighting the complexities in identifying and treating PIOL. In the focus case, A 66-year-old male experienced gradual painless vision loss with choroidal thickening on funduscopic exam and subsequent follow-up MRI. Trans-vitreal biopsy confirmed PIOL, and the patient was treated with intravitreal steroids and systemic rituximab without recurrence. Improper nutrient management cause yield reduction in black seed yield and quality. Therefore, a field trial was executed in the growing season 2022-23 at The University of Agriculture Peshawar to inspect the effects of different phosphorus (P) and boron (B) levels on black seed (Nigella sativa L.). The COVID-19 pandemic presented unprecedented challenges particularly among group homes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) given the close interactions and living arrangements of residents. Thus, the purpose of this project was to determine if an educational intervention focused on COVID-19 and COVID-19 infection control practices increased knowledge and awareness among caregivers working in a group home. A total of 10 individuals who worked as a caregiver in a group home agreed to participate in the educational intervention. Their average age was 43.30 (SD = 8.65), ranging from 31 to 57 years old. Punitive disciplinary approaches have been used for decades in primary grades with little improvement in behavior and negative impacts on classroom climate. This qualitative case study explored the perspectives of administrators and educators implementing restorative practice (RP) with fidelity in the primary grades of urban public elementary schools. The study addressed the restorative principles of norm setting, community-building circles, restorative chats, and restorative conferences for implementing restorative justice with fidelity. Unplanned or early hospital readmission have become factors used to measure standard of care in acute care settings. Because unplanned or early hospital readmission are costly, the Medicaid Hospital Readmission Reduction Program applies fines to hospitals that have early or unplanned readmissions. This collaborative autoethnography analyzes the role of self-efficacy within our teacher identity crisis. As English teachers in training, we have experienced situations inside and outside the classroom that motivated a professional identity crisis and led us questioning our efficacy as teachers. Through this study we explore the intricacies of our very own selves as prospective English teachers. We blended storytelling and analysis through a set of data generation procedures that included collaborative witnessing, written personal narratives and semi-structured interviews, which allowed us to co-construct our stories. Plant genetic diversity aids in the creation of new varieties that are more resistant to pests and unfavorable climatic conditions. In order to discover varied parents and assess their cross-performance, the current study was carried out. The water quality and macroinvertebrates from the downstream section of Eniong Creek were studied for six months, between August 2022 and January 2023 in three sampling stations/ points; to evaluate the ecological integrity and its suitability for habitation of aquatic organisms. Assessing students' mathematical literacy requires the use of mathematically specific tasks. This research aimed to: (1) develop principles for task design and a prototype task, and (2) examine the implementation of task in assessing the mathematical literacy of lower-secondary students. The study comprised three phases: preparation and design, task implementation, and retrospective analysis. Participants included mathematics educators, teachers, and students. Research tools encompassed tasks and semi-structured interviews. Data analysis used descriptive statistics (frequency and percentage) and content analysis. This article discusses the issue of permissibility of the termination of contracts concluded by entrepreneurs with consumers for an indefi nite period of time. The article presents the previous line of decisions of the President of the Offi ce of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) and the case-law of Polish courts concerning the so-called ‘valid reasons’ as a basis of such termination, both from the perspective of termination clauses and modifi cation clauses.
