Transformational leadership (TL) is a leadership approach that inspires followers and encourages their effective engagement to contribute adequately to organizational goal achievement. By inspiring followers to pursue and attain exceptional performance levels, TL accrues high follower satisfaction in their jobs and with their organizations (Asencio, 2016; Banks et al., 2016; Barnett, 2017; Bass & Riggio, 2006). This study examined faculty perceptions/ratings of transformational leadership behaviors of their department chairs at two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the southeastern United States.

The study aimed to evaluate antibiotic susceptibility patterns and extended-spectrum beta-lactamase prevalence in Escherichia coli isolated from urinary tract infections. Total fifty (50) samples of E. coli were obtained from urinary tract infection specimens in Hayatabad Medical Complex and private clinics in Peshawar, Pakistan. The present study obtained 50 E. coli isolates from 100 UTI specimens. The plates were incubated at 35 to 37°C for 24 to 48 hours. Different biochemical tests were carried out to identify the isolates. Antibiotic susceptibility testing and ESBL screening were done per the CLSI (2023) guidelines. Background: Lymphoid enhancer-binding factor 1 (LEF1)/T cell factor (TCF) family members are key transcription factors in malignant tumors. In this study, the role of T cell factor 4 (TCF4) in the progression of gastric cancer (GC) cell migration and invasion was investigated.

Methods: Fifty-five pairs of GC tissues and adjacent non-tumor tissues were collected for evaluating the expression of LEF1/TCF family members, which were also evaluated by the Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA) database, an online analysis platform based on The Cancer Genome Atlas and Genotype-Tissue Expression databases.

We obtain the representation of the solution of the M-Sturm Liouville problem for diffusion operator through the M-Laplace transform. The purpose of this article is to advantage demonstrate a more generalized version of the representation of the solution of the Sturm Liouville problem for diffusion operator in classical analysis.

This paper explores an inverse scattering problem for a system of Dirac equations with boundary condition depending on spectral parameter nonlinearly. We provide the scattering data corresponding to the boundary value problem and investigate some properties. In order to discuss inverse problem, the main equation is derived and its unique solvability is proved. As a consequence, we present the reconstruction of the potential matrix function from scattering data uniquely.

Bear Essentials is an online newsletter published by the Student Activities Council of Des Moines Area Community College. The newsletter was established in early 2020 when DMACC closed its facilities due to the coronavirus pandemic. The newsletter covers topics such as upcoming virtual activities and events, college resources, and community service opportunities. When asked about the origins of the newsletter, Student Activities Advisor Erin Smith said, "We wanted students to know they were not alone, the entire DMACC Community was coming together to help support one another in any way possible."

Lung nodules are frequently detected on low-dose computed tomography scans performed for lung cancer screening and incidentally detected on imaging performed for other reasons. There is wide variability in how lung nodules are managed by general practitioners and subspecialists, with high rates of guideline-discordant care. This may be due in part to the level of evidence underlying current practice guideline recommendations (primarily based on findings from uncontrolled studies of diagnostic accuracy). The primary aims of lung nodule management are to minimize harms of diagnostic evaluations while expediting the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of lung cancer. Low-dimensional hybrid organic–inorganic perovskites (HOIPs) are promising electronically active materials for light absorption and emission. The design space of HOIPs is extremely large, as a variety of organic cations can be combined with different inorganic frameworks. This not only allows for tunable electronic and mechanical properties but also necessitates the development of new tools for in silico high throughput analysis of candidate materials. In this work, we present an accurate, efficient, and widely applicable machine learning interatomic potential (MLIP) trained on 86 diverse experimentally reported HOIP materials. BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Human brain aging is a complex process that affects various aspects of brain function and structure, increasing susceptibility to neurological and psychiatric disorders. A number of nongenetic (e.g., environmental and lifestyle) and genetic risk factors are found to contribute to the varying rates at which the brain ages among individuals.

METHODS: In this paper, we conducted both an exposome-wide association study (XWAS) and a genome-wide association study (GWAS) on white matter brain aging in the UK Biobank, revealing the multifactorial nature of brain aging. This paper looks at how Malaysia has improved its efforts to protect the welfare of migrant workers in line with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Since 2019, Malaysia has implemented three policy changes, including expanding the national social protection systems to migrant workers, amending the Employment Act, and implementing the employer-paid model for recruitment costs.
