As emerging software vulnerabilities continuously threaten enterprises and Internet services, there is a critical need for improved security research capabilities. This paper introduces the Security Exploit Telemetry Collection (SETC) framework - an automated framework to generate reproducible vulnerability exploit data at scale for robust defensive security research. SETC deploys configurable environments to execute and record rich telemetry of vulnerability exploits within isolated containers. Exploits, vulnerable services, monitoring tools, and logging pipelines are defined via modular JSON configurations and deployed on demand. Compared to current manual processes, SETC enables automated, customizable, and repeatable vulnerability testing to produce diverse security telemetry. This …

The principal objective of this study was to use network analysis to identify spatial, geomorphic, physical, and chemical patterns in Virginia’s mineralogical systems. Mineralogical and locality data from mindat.org were visualized as a bipartite force- directed network of the minerals and the counties of Virginia in which they occur. Mineral nodes were sized to represent the number of counties the minerals are found in (i.e., frequency of occurrence) and county nodes were sized to represent the number of minerals found in that county (i.e., mineral diversity). Does Restricting Access To Credit Affect Learning Outcomes? Evidence From A Regulatory Shock To Microfinance In India, Muneer Kalliyil, Soham Sahoo

Working Papers

This study examines how restricted access to microfinance by households affects children’s learning outcomes, utilizing a unique natural experiment that halted all microfinance operations in Andhra Pradesh (AP), India, in 2010. The analysis exploits quasi-random variation in district-level exposure to the shock in states other than AP, as the regulation affected lenders’ liquidity nationwide. Using difference in-differences and event study designs, we find a significant and persistent decline in children’s learning outcomes. The restoration of credit access does not fully reverse these effects, highlighting the long-term consequences of short-term financial disruptions. The structure of event knowledge plays a critical role in prediction, reconstruction of memory for personal events, construction of possible future events, action, language usage, and social interactions. Despite numerous theoretical proposals such as scripts, schemas, and stories, the highly variable and rich nature of events and event knowledge have been formidable barriers to characterizing the structure of event knowledge in memory. We used network science to provide insights into the temporal structure of common events. The population of Poland could be of particular interest to researchers studying religion and spirituality. Catholicism has played a significant role in shaping the country’s culture, history, and tradition and is considered a national religion. More recently, however, the processes of moving away from regular participation in religious services and loosening ties with the institution of the Catholic Church are marked (Polish Public Opinion Research Center, CBOS). Most rural Nebraskans are somewhat or very concerned about their household’s cost of living, their household income, and their household’s financial situation. This was particularly true for certain groups, including persons with lower household incomes, younger persons, and persons with construction, installation, or maintenance occupations.

When asked about the impacts of international trade, most rural Nebraskans think it is good for Nebraska’s economy. Residents of the Panhandle are the regional group least likely to think trade is good for the state’s economy.

The explosive growth in e-commerce, the increasing urgency of de-carbonization, the rapid advances in UAV technology, and the continuous disruptive development of the gig economy create needs and opportunities for dramatic improvements in urban package delivery. E-commerce may greatly increase the demand for such deliveries, traditionally made by truck and van, as urban residents substitute purchases made over the Internet for those acquired in brick-and-mortar stores. The Kenya Gender and Education Roadmap is a series of four evidence briefs designed to provide a comprehensive analysis of the gender and education landscape in Kenya. Drawing from a variety of key data sources, including the Population Council’s Evidence for Gender and Education Resource (EGER) Database, DHS and national-level datasets, and recent literature from East Africa the series provides data-driven insights into gender-related barriers to schooling, especially for girls. Exploring Preservice Elementary Teachers' Reflections Following Facilitation Of Mathematics Discussions In Mixed-Reality Simulations, Liza Bondurant

This article investigates preservice elementary teachers' (PSTs') reflections after facilitating mathematics discussions within a mixed-reality simulation (MRS) environment. The study aims to explore the immediate and delayed reflections of PSTs. The findings provide insights into the affordances and constraints of MRSs. PSTs' immediate reflections focused on the themes of preparation, questioning skills, and understanding the content, with delayed reflections indicating positive experiences, including improved content knowledge, and discussion facilitation skills. Findings suggest that with enhanced preparation and additional practice opportunities, integrating MRSs into teacher preparation programs has the potential to improve the mathematical discussion facilitation skills of PSTs.

This study investigates the experiences of a professional learning community (PLC) com- posed of six secondary math teachers enrolled in a graduate math methods course. Through the discussion of educational texts and collaborative inquiry, the teachers identified classroom challenges they aimed to address through individual action research projects. The PLC provided a supportive environment for teachers to share their processes, receive peer feedback, and collectively reflect. This study underscores the value of action research and PLCs in driving educational improvement. By en- gaging in structured inquiry within a collaborative setting, teachers gained insights into pedagogical issues, developed targeted incremental interventions, …
