Creating a 'multi-dimensional doctoral object' was a creative research activity developed for Doing Doctorates Differently. The piece explored how doctoral thought might be encountered as a material, spatial and dimensional object rather than only as written argument. Working with fragments from five years of doctoral notes, the activity considered how a thesis accumulates, tears, folds, exceeds, and re-forms through the pressures of study.The work asks what happens when a doctorate is not treated as a linear document moving toward completion, but as a multi-dimensional object in formation: part archive, part method, part conceptual experiment. Source code security auditing is essential before software release in order to identify programming faults that may lead to vulnerabilities and functional failures. In this paper, we present a structured security assessment of the Windows App SDK by integrating multiple static analysis tools with a context-aware and disagreement-aware Large Language Model (LLM) interpretation layer. Although static analyzers are effective in reporting potential weaknesses, their raw outputs often contain redundant alerts, limited contextual explanation, and inconsistent severity assignments. The impact of online social influence on social learning, health behaviour and population health is a new, rapidly developing area of study. Previous research focused specifically on digital influencers suggests they may be able to affect group-level diffusion of health-protective behaviours such that they modify epidemic outcomes. The human microbiota is implicated in the development and progression of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Given the increased RA burden in women and well-known correlations between the vaginal microbiota and local inflammation, we seek to understand the vaginal microenvironment in the context of RA pathology. Self-collected vaginal swabs and questionnaires on dietary, menstrual, and health information were obtained from 36 RA and 50 demographically-matched control women, 18–63 years of age. Medication regimen, along with disease activity and severity, was captured for the RA cohort. This study examines elderly consumers’ perceptions of the design of AI insurance chatbot services in a phygital context. Drawing on the extended reality technology (ERT) framework and the stimulus–organism–response (SOR) model, it explores the cognitive–affective dynamics shaping chatbot adoption in a sensitive service setting. Data were collected from 396 elderly consumers of major insurance companies in Malaysia and analysed using structural equation modelling to assess mediating and moderating effects. Findings show that perceived trust critically mediates the relationship between cognitive factors and chatbot adoption. Technology anxiety and perceived complexity strongly moderate the trust–usage relationship, confirming a triadic interaction. The study …

Background/objectives: Quality improvement (QI) is widely used in global health to improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and strengthen service delivery. The Texas Children's Global Health Network (TCGHN) includes nine independent non-governmental organizations supporting healthcare in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), with pediatric HIV clinical centers of excellence in six countries in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), supported technically by Baylor College of Medicine. We describe the development of a virtual QI Community of Practice (QICoP) to connect geographically dispersed teams and strengthen local QI capacity.

BACKGROUND: Excess adiposity, most commonly indexed through body mass index (BMI), is strongly associated with the development of heart failure (HF). Weight loss therapies improve outcomes in patients with obesity and HF with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), but their effects in HF with reduced LVEF remain unclear.

Young people are increasingly forming and expressing civic identities in digital spaces. Yet, digital media literacy interventions have had limited success translating these competencies into sociopolitical action and, in some cases, may even constrain youth online civic engagement. This sequential mixed-methods study examines factors shaping youth online critical action using panel survey data (n = 704), followed by qualitative re-analysis of interviews (n = 23) with youth aged 15–24 to further unpack patterns identified in the survey findings. This article offers a semantic analysis of aerial and terrestrial spaces in the aviation narratives of Joseph Kessel and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It shows that these two spaces function as opposing poles that shape the heroes’ actions, values, and inner quests. Aerial space is associated with emptiness, altitude, evasion, freedom, elevation, and purification, whereas terrestrial space is linked to fullness, depth, suffocation, malaise, heaviness, and materiality. The study also notes that some terrestrial spaces, especially the desert and wild regions, may acquire positive values when they reconnect the hero with purity, simplicity, and a form of spiritual freedom. This paper examines conversational topic shifting in Moroccan Arabic, focusing on the markers and devices speakers use to move from one topic to another within the same interaction. After reviewing relevant literature and methodology, it distinguishes several forms of topic shift, including genuine topic shifts, sub-topic shifts, and topic recycling. The analysis identifies markers such as pauses, genuine topic-shift utterances, attention-getting devices, and topic-recycling markers, and discusses their discourse functions. The study shows that topic-shift markers do not perform a single function only, but help structure conversation, introduce new referents, manage interaction, and delimit useful units for discourse analysis.

This article studies the development of the city of Mohammedia during the twentieth century. It traces the rapid demographic growth of the city, the expansion of its urban fabric, and the effects of colonial planning, port activities, and industrialization on its spatial organization. The article examines population figures, the growth of residential districts, the role of the port, and the differentiation between planned European areas and other urban neighborhoods. By combining demographic, historical, and geographical data, the study shows how Mohammedia was transformed from a small settlement into an important urban and industrial center within Morocco.
