Every day, through internal adjudicative proceedings, agencies make thousands of rights determinations that affect critical matters such as financial security, family unity, personal safety, and individual liberty. Scholars and policymakers have recognized the significant impact that representation can have on adjudicative outcomes across the administrative state. Many agencies have implemented policies affirmatively seeking to boost an individual's ability to bring an advocate to assist with the adjudication process. In the immigration context, however, agencies have enacted procedural hurdles that have made it more difficult for individuals to reap the benefits of this assistance.

Increasing numbers of disabled and neurodivergent students are enrolling in postsecondary institutions, including teacher preparation programs. Although teacher educators strive to prepare their students to use strategies and provide support effectively in their future classrooms, many of these educators need tools to offer comparable services to disabled and neurodivergent preservice teachers. Specifically, disabled and neurodivergent preservice teachers have reported barriers to disclosing their disabilities and receiving access to needed accommodations. Instead, they report feeling scrutinized as to whether they are capable of being teachers due to their disability. The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the National Council on Teaching Mathematics (NCTM) released a joint statement on the importance of preparing special education teachers to teach mathematics (NCTM & CEC, 2024). They provided implications for institutions of higher education with teacher preparation programs, one of which included requiring special education majors to take a minimum of one mathematics course with mathematics content directed specifically to PK-12 mathematics and include field-based learning opportunities within that course. This paper examines the schism emerging in doctoral education regarding the integration of Generative AI (GenAI). Drawing on Rogers’ Diffusion of Innovations Theory (DIT), this analysis examines how higher education institutions are responding to the disruptive potential of AI in doctoral writing, research, and dissertation defense. A historical examination spanning from Socrates’ resistance to written texts (370 BCE) through contemporary AI debates reveals a recurring pattern: initial resistance to technological innovations, followed by gradual institutional adoption as new frameworks emerge that accommodate the technical tools while preserving the core values of graduate education. Vaccine hesitancy threatens herd immunity, contributing to the resurgence of measles outbreaks. This lesson engages upper-level biomedical science students in analyzing the complex interplay between vaccination rates, herd immunity and vaccine exemption policies through examination of the 2019 New York measles outbreak that threatened the United States’ measles elimination status. Students critically evaluate anti-vaccine misinformation, analyze epidemiological data and develop evidence-based policy recommendations to increase vaccination rates. This Comment addresses the historic and current-day issue of counterfeit aircraft parts in the aviation industry. Counterfeit parts—also known as fake parts, bogus parts, unapproved parts, and suspected unapproved parts (SUPs)—are any parts that do not conform to the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) standards and regulations. Given the lackluster availability of public information and coverage over the issue, this Comment aims to bring more attention to the very real threat of fake aircraft parts.

The report offers a comprehensive look into the characteristics and perspectives of individuals and families who utilize donor advised funds (DAFs) for their charitable giving in the United States. The study surveyed over 2,100 DAF donors, focusing on their demographics, financial characteristics, giving patterns, decision-making processes, motivations for using DAFs, and the role of DAFs in their overall philanthropic strategy.

The COVID-19 pandemic had a profound effect on nearly every aspect of life starting in 2020. Existing research measuring the relationship between COVID restrictions and academic performance has found significant harm across numerous settings. This first-of-its-kind study is designed to measure if a similar phenomenon is present with performance on state bar exams taken by law school graduates. The counterintuitive results from this study—that more restrictive COVID lockdowns correlated with improved bar examination performance—spark discussion regarding lockdowns, legal education, remote learning pedagogy, and the bar exam. This has drawn much attention to the Supreme Court’s decision in Board of Education v. Pico, which established the standard for evaluating the constitutionality of removing books from school libraries. While research has largely focused on student outcomes, there is a critical gap in understanding how restorative practices influence school principals’ leadership. The transformation to the curriculum taught in chaplain training in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) will now address the spiritual needs of a more diverse, nonreligious, and interfaith population in the United States. Historically rooted in religious frameworks, CPE curricula are evolving to incorporate non-religious spiritual care interventions and promote research literacy among chaplains. This mixed-methods study explores the concept of Pedagogical Instinct (PI) in Waldorf education by examining its relationship to the teacher’s sense of self-efficacy and professional development. Connected to Rudolf Steiner’s educational philosophy, PI refers to the intuitive and adaptive capacity of teachers to respond to students’ individual needs, integrating technical skills, relational awareness, and ego development. Quantitative data from 168 survey respondents were analyzed to assess relationships between self-efficacy, PI, teacher training, and demographic variables. This hermeneutic phenomenological study explores the leadership experiences of Black birth workers (BBWs), revealing critical insights into leadership dynamics within maternal healthcare. Through a theoretical framework integrating African feminism, Black feminism, and anti-racist feminism, the research examines how BBWs conceptualize and enact leadership through embodied, relational, and liberatory approaches. This study addresses a significant gap in leadership literature, particularly regarding generational knowledge and practices of BBWs, which remain understudied despite their vital role in Black maternal healthcare.
