The CASA (Carnegie-Ames-Stanford) ecosystem model based on satellite greenness observations has been used to estimate monthly carbon fluxes in terrestrial ecosystems from 2000 to 2009. The CASA model was driven by NASA Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) vegetation cover properties and large-scale (1-km resolution) disturbance events detected in biweekly time series data. This modeling framework has been implemented to estimate historical as well as current monthly patterns in plant carbon fixation, living biomass increments, and long-term decay of woody (slash) pools before, during, and after land cover disturbance events. For example, studies of Amerindian languages of the Amazon basin have discovered sounds as unique as a ―voiced, lateralized apical-alveolar/sublaminal-labial double flap with egressive lung air‖ [L,], exhibited only in Pirahã, an isolated language spoken by approximately one hundred people (Everett 92). English has an apparent proclivity for the phoneme /ʃ /, which, as Baugh and Cable point out, may be produced by twelve different spellings (14). BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Recurrence in lymph node-negative (pN0) colorectal cancer suggests the presence of undetected occult metastases. Occult tumor burden in nodes estimated by GUCY2C RT-qPCR predicts risk of disease recurrence. This study explored the impact of the number of nodes analyzed by RT-qPCR (analytic) on the prognostic utility of occult tumor burden.

METHODS: Lymph nodes (range: 2-159) from 282 prospectively enrolled pN0 colorectal cancer patients, followed for a median of 24 months (range: 2-63), were analyzed by GUCY2C RT-qPCR. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพและประเมินการจัดการโซ่อุปทานสำหรับงานเทคนิคของห้องสมุดโรงเรียนแพทย์ และนำมาพัฒนาตัวแบบการจัดการโซ่อุปทานที่เหมาะสมสำหรับงานเทคนิคห้องสมุดโรงเรียนแพทย์ โดยใช้ตัวแบบอ้างอิงการดำเนินงานโซ่อุปทานหรือตัวแบบสกอร์ในการวิเคราะห์และประเมินการดำเนินงานเทคนิค และพัฒนาตัวแบบสำหรับงานเทคนิค ผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลักในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ หัวหน้าห้องสมุด และบุคลากรที่ดำเนินงานเทคนิคของห้องสมุดโรงเรียนแพทย์ขนาดใหญ่ 5 แห่ง จำนวน 24 คน และผู้ใช้ห้องสมุด โรงเรียนแพทย์ทั้ง 5 แห่ง จำนวน 50 คน เก็บรวบรวม ข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ห้องสมุดโรงเรียนแพทย์สามารถดำเนินงานเทคนิคตามตัวแบบอ้างอิงการดำเนินงานโซ่อุปทานได้ทั้ง 5 กระบวนการ ได้แก่ การวางแผน การจัดหา การผลิต การนำส่ง และการส่งคืน ผลการประเมินการจัดการโซ่อุปทานงานเทคนิคตามตัวแบบอ้างอิงการดำเนินงานโซ่อุปทาน พบว่าห้องสมุดโรงเรียนแพทย์สามารถประเมินได้ทั้ง 4 คุณลักษณะ คือ ความน่าเชื่อถือ ความยืดหยุ่นและการตอบสนอง ค่าใช้จ่าย และการจัดการสิน ทรัพย์ได้ ตัวแบบการจัดการโซ่อุปทานสำหรับงานเทคนิคห้องสมุดโรงเรียนแพทย์ที่เหมาะสมเป็นแบบโซ่อุปทานขั้นสูงสุดและสามารถประเมินคุณลักษณะได้ทั้ง 4 ด้านดังกล่าว ผลการวิจัยนี้สามารถนำไปประยุกต์กับการบริหารจัดการงานเทคนิคห้องสมุดอื่นได้ The purpose of this research paper was to study and evaluate the supply chain management for technical services offered at the medical school libraries to develop a suitable model for supply chain management. การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการใช้สื่อสังคมเพื่อการประชาสัมพันธ์ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยในด้านวัตถุประสงค์ ประเภทของสื่อสังคม เนื้อหา การประเมินผล และปัญหาการใช้สื่อสังคมเพื่อการประชาสัมพันธ์ห้องสมุด มหาวิทยาลัย โดยใช้แบบสอบถามในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากผู้รับผิดชอบหลักในการใช้สื่อสังคม เพื่อการประชาสัมพันธ์ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย จำนวน 72 แห่ง ได้รับแบบสอบถามกลับคืนมา จำนวน 70 ชุด (ร้อยละ 97.22) ผลการศึกษา พบว่า ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยจำนวนมากที่สุด มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการใช้สื่อสังคมเพื่อให้สามารถสื่อสารกับผู้ใช้บริการได้ทุกที่ ทุกเวลา บรรณารักษ์เป็นผู้รับผิดชอบหลักในการใช้สื่อสังคม ห้องสมุดส่วนใหญ่ใช้เพซบุคในการประชา สัมพันธ์ ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการเลือกใช้สื่อสังคม คือ ความง่ายของการใช้งาน เนื้อหาที่ใช้ในการประชาสัมพันธ์ห้องสมุด คือ การแนะนำบริการของห้องสมุด ในส่วนของการประเมินผลการใช้สื่อสังคมพบว่า ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยจำนวนมากที่สุด ไม่มี การประเมินผล ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีการประเมินผลการใช้สื่อสังคมใช้แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นของผู้ใช้บริการจากการจัดกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ของห้องสมุด และนำผลที่ได้จากการประเมินมาใช้ปรับปรุงการดำเนินงานประชาสัมพันธ์ห้องสมุด สำหรับ ปัญหาที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดในการใช้สื่อสังคมเพื่อการประชาสัมพันธ์ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย คือ ปัญหาด้านบุคลากร This survey research aims to investigate the use of social media for university library public relations, in terms of, social media types, public relations contents, evaluation and problems in using social media. We present an extension to Jaynes’ maximum entropy principle that incorporates latent variables. The principle of latent maximum entropy we propose is different from both Jaynes’ maximum entropy principle and maximum likelihood estimation, but can yield better estimates in the presence of hidden variables and limited training data. We first show that solving for a latent maximum entropy model poses a hard nonlinear constrained optimization problem in general. However, we then show that feasible solutions to this problem can be obtained efficiently for the special case of log-linear models---which forms the basis for an efficient approximation to the latent maximum …

The research results on students’ information literacy will, therefore, be useful to related agencies for assessing and planning to Promote their students’ information literacy appropriately. This article presents the research results of two studies investigating Chulalongkorn University undergraduates’ information literacy, particularly on their recognition of information needs, searching strategies to locate and access information, information evaluation, and information use.

การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา การจัดบริการอ้างอิงเสมือนของห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยในด้านวัตถุประสงค์ การจัดการ และการให้บริการ รวมถึงปัญหาในการจัดบริการอ้างอิงเสมือนของห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย โดยใช้ แบบสอบถามในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากผู้รับผิดชอบหลักในการจัดบริการอ้างอิงเสมือนในห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีฐานะเป็นห้องสมุดกลางและมีการจัดบริการอ้างอิงเสมือน จำนวนทั้งหมด 64 แห่ง ได้รับแบบสอบถามกลับคืนมา จำนวน 45 ชุด (ร้อยละ 70.03) ผลการศึกษา พบว่า ห้องสมุดจำนวนมากที่สุดจัดบริการอ้างอิงเสมือนเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกแก้ผู้ใช้ในการติดต่อกับ บุคลากรที่ให้บริการได้ทุกที่และทุกเวลา ในด้านการจัดการ พบว่า ห้องสมุดส่วนใหญ่ไม่กำหนดนโยบายเกี่ยวกับการจัดบริการ อ้างอิงเสมือน และไม่ใช้งบประมาณในการจัดบริการอ้างอิงเสมือน ทั้งนี้ ห้องสมุดจำนวนมากที่สุดมี บรรณารักษ์ฝ่าย/งานบริการ เป็นผู้รับผิดชอบหลักในการจัดบริการและให้บริการ สำหรับการประชาสัมพันธ์บริการอ้างอิงเสมือนนั้น ห้องสมุดส่วน ใหญ่มีการประชาสัมพันธ์บริการอ้างอิงเสมือน แต่ไม่ประเมินบริการอ้างอิงเสมือน สำหรับด้านการให้บริการ พบว่า ห้องสมุดจำนวนมากที่สุดให้บริการอ้างอิงเสมือนทั้งแบบเอกเทศและแบบความร่วมมือ รวมทั้งเปิดให้บริการทั้งในเวลาทำการและล่วง เวลา ทั้งนี้ ห้องสมุดจำนวนมากที่สุดให้บริการอ้างอิงเสมือนผ่านเทคโนโลยีเว็บ 2.0 โดยเฉพาะเครือข่ายสังคม ส่วนปัญหาใน การจัดบริการอ้างอิงเสมือนนั้น พบว่า ปัญหาที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด คือ ห้องสมุดกำหนดนโยบายในการจัดบริการอ้างอิงเสมือน ไม่ชัดเจน This study was a survey research which was aimed to investigate the management of virtual reference service in university libraries, in terms of objectives, management, and services, as well as problems in managing virtual reference service. If you can locate a target by using one reliable source of information, why would you use an unreliable one? A similar question has been faced in a recent study on homing pigeons, in which, despite the presence of better predictors of the goal location, the slope of the floor in an arena dominated the searching process. This piece of evidence seems to contradict straightforward accounts of associative learning, according to which behavior should be controlled by the stimulus that best predicts the reward, and has fueled interest toward one question that, to date, has received scarce attention in the …

Two sub-pixel resolution approaches to measure in-plane displacements and in-plane rotation of a known target, through image processing, are described in this research. A dynamic known target is displayed on a pixel grid, which is attached to one end of the kinematic chain of an XYθZ stage; the latter represents the experimental testbed. At the other end of the kinematic chain, a digital monochrome camera is fixed to the bottom of the stage and provides 3D position information used as the feedback signal to the vision-based control system in charge of the tool’s motion.
